Excellent services, good food and location

The location is wonderful, right in the middle of a high-end shopping district. The hotel has great amenities and the staff went out of their way to make the stay perfect. The bathroom was gorgeous...we stayed in a junior suite. The breakfast was remarkable. A lovely, full-blown spread in a beautiful indoor/outdoor space. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bed was way too firm. It must be a common complaint because they immediately offered a pillow-top that housekeeping put on. But I understand they will be getting new beds this month--Aug 2019--so that may not be an issue anymore. The other thing was only slanted ceiling windows in the suite...no side windows...which I prefer. But they do have some rooms with regular side wall windows. Because they are partners with the Principal Hotel, they have a van which we got to take advantage of on one occasion. And again, the staff went out of their way to make the stay right...we changed rooms twice! It's a smaller boutique hotel, not a grand hotel, but again...great location.

The location is simply unbeatable. Beautiful property, large modern rooms. But it was the service which made it stand out. An example: as I was checking out, inenquired where to ship a large number of musical instruments, to England (!). The staff immediately offered to do it for me.

We visited as a family for 3 days around Christmas time. We had a fantastic time in Madrid. The hotel is great. The rooms are large, very well appointed, with lot's of light and quiet. The common rooms of the hotel are very comfortable, never very busy, and great for a short burst of work (if needed). The staff is remarkably helpful and always with a smile. The gym is at the basement -- very functional, but not crowded. The hotel is situated in the Salamanca area, a great part of the city, with many shops, restaurants, cafes in close walking distance; and the museums in 15min walk away. The hotel is on a quiet street, so it is not affected by the activity one block away. Overall a great experience, both as a family and as a couple.

Th accommodations were excellent, the location was splendid near all important sites, and the staff was uniformly wonderful

Great location, staff, breakfast, and rooms!

From the moment i arrived i knew i was in for a real treat. As a global business executive I am privileged to stay in many great hotels around the world and particularly enjoy small local luxury hotels if possible. Unico is on of the best i have experienced. the staff was amazingly attentive, almost like luxury Tokyo, but left you alone in just the right way. the common space is really well appointed and the rooms sheer decadence. I also loved the location. it is nestled in the best neighborhood of Madrid and is in easy walking distance to the best restaurants, shopping and the museum district. it is a guaranteed good place to stay.

The Unico Hotel lived up to the reviews and my expectations. I usually look for more economical hotels, but decided to splurge, and needless to say it was worth every penny. The staff and lobby are very welcoming and they had snacks and drinks readily available as we checked in. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The Goya metro spot is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The neighborhood is pretty sleepy after hours, but it is definitely safe and peaceful.

Nice boutique hotel situated in a really nice shopping and dining district. Museums are walking distance. Fantastic service, beautiful decoration and good breakfast too. I will return!

A stylish hotel in a great part of madrid. The staff were very helpful and genuinely interested in helping. The hotel room was spotless snd decorated in an elegant chic style. The rooms have blue ray players and a selection of DVDs if you wanted to borrow them. The hotel is in the sleek shopping district with plenty of great restaurants and very close by. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The retiro park is a 10 minute walk away and the museum del Prado about 20 mins away so you are close to everything but not smack bang in the middle which we quite liked. A great hotel!

We loved staying in this luxury boutique hotel in Salamanca! The hotel and neighborhood were perfect for our first visit to Madrid. The neighborhood is filled with the best upscale shops, and restaurants that are frequented by locals, not tourists. The hotel is beautiful, and well-equipped in every way.

Very nice hotel in an exceptional trendy location. The Salamanca district is the place to be for cafes and restaurants, and shopping. The upper rooms on the fourth floor appear to have sloping ceilings with a pitched roof window with no view, so best avoided if possible. The room itself was very nice, comfortable and very clean.

It is a great hotel. Excellent discovery. We had been several times before in Madrid in other hotels (Palace, Mauro, Villa Magna), and this hotel beats everyone of them. Congratulations
