It was great, I spend a nice day. Waking up in front of the sea, priceless.

Elegant hotel

I paid for 3 rooms for 4 nights, but my son who was staying in the 3 rd room wasn’t able to get to Dominican Republic until Friday August 30th, really the 31st at 3 am. I asked the young lady that I wanted the key on The evening of the 29th when my wife, 2 daughters and I arrived since I am paying for 4 nights but she said she could not give me access to the room until she could physically scan my sons passport. I felt like that was not fair.

Good place to stay. Needs some improvement in the way they test their guests, specially the security staff. Sometimes they come across as a bit aggresive and rude.

The views are breathtaking! Despite that the hotel is clearly old, the rooms and hotel overall was clean and met my needs. However, the staff was not as friendly or accommodating as in other hotels that I have visited in Santo Domingo. For example, when the ATMs were not working, the answer was simply, "oh, I guess they are not working." Santo Domingo is my native home so I think it is pivotal to make a good impression on everyone we meet.

Whatever goes wrong in the beginning has a tendency to get worse as you go. For starters, the employee who checked me in asked me if I wanted to use the card used for reservation to pay for my stay. I stated that I will be using a different card to pay on check-out. He asked if he can use the current card to put a hold for incidentals. I agreed. Upon check-out, when I took out the card I wanted to use to pay for my stay, I was told that I had already paid for the visit. I WAS APPALED!!!!! I lost points because of the employee who DID NOT LISTEN!!!!! Upon check in he also forgot to give my wife her ID back and a day later we asked for it and they had to look for it. Is there no system set in place to call the guest and let them know they have their card? What if we never asked for it a day later? We decided to do to the Pearl Lounge for a few drinks and grab a bite. My wife asked for chicken wings. They came back with a batch of wings drenched in BBQ sauce. My wife HATES BBQ sauce. Their answer? She never said no BBQ sauce. She clearly stated plain chicken wings. I must say by this point I'm wondering if due to the language barrier they are making their OWN DECISIONS based on past dealings with others. I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! It was late and she was so frustrated that again, she paid and forgot her card. It was just not her day. AGAIN, if we didn't ask for the card we may have never see it again. When we went the next day. They said front desk has the card. We went to get it.

Love how comfortable everything was

Security around the property is good. Some rooms need to be updated but overall it is a good hotel.

Very fancy and romantic. Nice view of the coast. Also food was delicious

The hotel has small problems. But the friendliness of the staff and their support made it an excellent place to go. Felt safe with all the security there. And most spoke English. Willing to always help no matter what.

Overall was good but the room services don't have the all the menu available, we wanted to order a pizza at 7:00pm, and the don't have it, not even french fries to order burguers. And the house keeping lady opened the door almost without notice at least twice.

They charged for the free bumping to a premium room.

The staff accommodates me after the A/C unit wasn’t working properly, after almost a whole day waiting because morning staff didn’t informed the night staff about my situation. They upgrade my room and solve my issues.

The property was very nice. The staff was amazing. But the food was lack of choices for a vegan like me. and there isn’t much to do around here as a solar traveler, I felt that I cannot leave the hotel to do things and just enjoy a nice walk

I saw some insects (moth i think) moving on the carpet inside my room. Get rid of carpets and invest in vinyl flooring. Aside issues with cleaniness. Everything else was good.

Good option for business. It is not very close to turistico área, but very accesible and cheap by can. Buffet in the morning is vast and there is a wide variety of dishes. I will certainly be back

Carpet in the room smells very bad, AC didn’t cool the room.
