Loved the hotel. But discovered that the exits have wrought iron gates that are locked at night. When I inquired about exits in case of fire they said they would have to unlock the gates. I believed this was entirely dangerous situation.

The property is excellent in general. Previously I mostly stayed in the entry level suites which are excellent. This time however I made a mistake to book the presidential suite and it was a disaster. The space is amazing and artistic, with multiple windows, decorated by antiques and modern art. However the plumbing in the main bathroom did not work. When I book expensive suites I mostly look forward to the posh bathrooms, these I consider sanctuaries, but not this time.

The room was fine, nice. The staff excellent. The rooftop pool needs repairs. The door to the bathroom near the pool is hard to open, the two doors are not aligned properly (we already mentioned to the staff on prior visit). No soap in the bathroom. The furniture on the sundeck is falling apart.

The staff aleads attentive. Miguel at front desk always asking if everything was okay. He was able to accommodate my needs due to my chemical allergies thus my stay was very pleasant without any issues. Hotel is walking distance to the centro and there are many options for shopping and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience. Charming renovated historic building. Our room faced the street and their bakery was below us. We were waken to the smell of freshly baked croissants. The staff Daniel and Oswald could not be more polite and attentive. Fabulous breakfast of delicious Mexican dishes like chilaquiles and enchiladas. Breakfast was included.
The room was ample. Large window opened to the street. Centrally located. Walking distance to the cathedral, shopping and restaurants. No need for a car.
Highly recommend restaurants Cabarrocas and Mural de los Poblanos. Both restaurants are two blocks away. I don’t recommend Casa del Mendrugo restaurante. Very disappointing. Not at all like the other restaurants that I mentioned.
I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a romantic experience in a charming place

Great stay. The hotel helped arrange our airport pick up. We were charged an additional fee for a third person, but before the booking we were unaware that would be the case so the extra cost wasn’t ideal considering we weren’t expecting it.

The experience was good until the last hour. I waited for my Uber and I obviously lost 2.200 Pesos at the reception. I took the Uber and directly called them. I am very posted off by the lack of feedback and accountability of the reception to help me. I did not like this experience at all and this is why I leave the hotel with unfortunately a clear 1 star in mind.

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the historical zone, a stone's throw from the best museums, churches, and restaurants (the hotel restaurant is superb). The hotel is top-notch for Puebla, with amazing staff, beautiful rooms, and tranquil/upscale common visitor areas. I have traveled to Puebla at least 20 times in my life. This time, I was in town for business but did venture in and around town; this hotel was the nicest one I've stayed in the city so far. Complementary bubbly and chocolates in the evening was a nice touch.

Casona De Los Sapos is an ideal base for Puebla. The location is ideal, right on a street filled daily with interesting craft and antique stands and just a few beautiful blocks from the town center. Rooms are large and nicely appointed. And the in-hotel restaurant was great! We loved our breakfasts there. Strongly recommend.

Beautiful property. A bit noisy at night, you can hear loud music thumping. The bed and shower were perfect. Nice massage in spa. I wish the pool water was a little warmer. The room service food was absolutely terrible. Would not order food in the room, seriously raw papas Milanese!

Absolutely perfect! The staff is exceptionally helpful and cheerful. Our Spanish is not great and there was always someone to gladly speak to us. The food is delish too! Highly highly recommend!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable but our main issue was that they " nickle and dime" you. Breakfast was included but I had the fruit and yogurt one day, as my entree and asked for honey. They charged me 20 MP which is about one US dollar. Ridiculous!. Another day I had an omelet. It included only one item. I did not hear the waiter tell me the extra cheese I requested would be also charged. It was an extra 45 MP or about $2.25 US....
When you are paying almost $200 a night for a room in Mexico and are staying for 5 nights, you expect much better.

The property is beautiful and is 2blocks from the central square and all the action. The staff is beyond outstanding!!!!! They even have a chef who is only the tenth 25 year old to receive a Michelin award. This hotel is exceptional in every regard.

This hotel is located in a Colonial building in the center of the historic district. I think it is better located than the so-called fancier hotels. This is closer to the center and to the restaurants and shops. The room is tremendously spacious. The linens soft. The amenities provided are by L'occitane. The staff is sooooo friendly and helpful.

Mariel the front desk agent was very friendly and she was able to communicate with me at all times prior to our arrival during the arrival, there was a misunderstanding and she immediately follow up with us. Victor the bell man was also super nice, Javier our morning server was fast and very genuine with all my dietary needs and allergies. Sadly the experience at Miazal was great even though they accommodate my needs to an extend many of the menu dishes were not available, as well as there was not a drink menu, was not upselling by the server and they rushed us to make a decision on our dinner options because kitchen was closing at 9:30pm.

This definenitly the place to stay for a quiet relaxed stay. The Hotel staff is very accommodating. It is almost central to the Historic Downtown.

The staff was very accommodating and attentive. We felt very safe in every sense, the hotel is walking distance to the main zócalo and lots more. Will recommend to family and friends.
