Very well kept hotel and rooms. Colourfull and welcoming. Food menu was amazing and the staff were lovely.

When we arrived, they noticed my mum was in a wheelchair and got us a really nice disabled access room to make life easier 😀

Limited parking directly near hotel as its a busy spot. A short walk to overflow thats has a £2 charge. Expensive hotel for where it is feeding off off the BaE need for staff and accomodation; in par with most other places in surrounding area...i needed this as emergency due to sick parent rushed to hospital as couldnt stay at my parents house- too many people there...not a cost I wanted to incurr at this time but had no choice. Barrow is an expensive place to visit.
Room clean, bed too soft for me but thats a personal choice. Staff were very friendly, polite and professional. Breakfast is nice, fresh and there is enough choice for most people.
Overall a mass expense to visit in such difficult circimstances but had to be done. Place is central and staff are lovely.

It was a charity weekend called Dave day. The hotel were most welcoming and a lovely touch in each room was a wooden spoon with Dave’s face engraved and year he was born / died. Also a small booklet about him and a recipe.

Well-located hotel that is very convenient for working and also general exploring of the town. Could also be a good base to explore the Lakes. Good modern rooms with all the expected facilities - particularly liked the Chromecast in each room to give the option of watching what we like on the big screen. Only criticism is with the breakfast - sausages are overcooked, fried eggs or other options would be nice - and the coffee was not good at all. Just a jug of filter would be preferable to the machine being used.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the lovely staff were there to greet us . Absolutely nothing was too much trouble or an inconvenience. The room was large and very comfortable. Spotless bathroom, fluffy towels .
Breakfast was organised with a good choice of things to have .
Would have no qualms at recommending this hotel .
Thank you for looking after us and all the people who came for the event .

Stayed recently for 2 nights (not for the first time) and it was excellent again !!! Great staff, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good bar food and service. My only gripe is need more choice of draught Lagers (San-Miguel on draught would be awesome please !!!!) Overall 10/10 👍

on the whole the hotel is very good but let down by consistently cold breakfast and poor response by breakfast staff as to problems with breakfast equipment and re-supply

Professional, yet friendly staff . . . everything else is per norm for an IHG Hotel. Bars & restaurants within 10mins, will use again next time I'm this way and would recommend to anyone 👌👍😎

The room was exactly as it appeared in the photo, we had a standard double and it was clean and comfortable with all of the amenities as described. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Good choice for breakfast, a machine for coffee or hot chocolate, croissants and muffins, fruits and cereals, cooked breakfast. The only 2 disappointments for me were the sausages were more like hot dog sausages and I couldn’t get a fried egg (I asked the man who was filling the hot food trays and he said it was scrambled egg only). These weren’t an issue for me and don’t effect my rating which will still be 5 stars, would definitely stay again

The hotel is very nice but on this night it was around minus 6 degrees and the room was cold, the air con would not stay on so I had a terrible nights sleep, also some of the breakfast items were cold tut tut this is basic stuff for a chain

Off special mention was the food service and specifically the breakfast which was typical continental with a full traditional English, all included in the price.

Great hotel. Fantastic staff always making conversation and making you feel at home. Breakfast perfect. Right in centre of town. The offsite parking is very close by 30 second walk. Evening meals could be better.

Great property and good location for my business meeting the next day. They do have some on-site parking but this is very limited. If this is full you have to park 50 yards down the road in a private car park which is free. Don’t forget to put your reg in the iPad at reception. Rooms very clean amenities also good. I would stay here again.

All staff were pleasant and helpful, plenty choice for breakdast however the breakfast buffet was not hot enough. I will return for another visit in the future.
