Good hotel with fabulous amenities. Customer service is great, food is great, and its location is prime

Lovely and comfy room

Stayed here as was attending a function nearby. Nice comfy room. Quiet hotel. Lovely breakfast. Just be aware that it is a bit of a walk from nearest stations and Newcastle is hilly

Nice staff, but chain has gone down and too expensive

Absolutely stunning hotel - super friendly staff too!

The hotel is very tired and old. The generally decor is old and in the room there were many missing items expected for the price (water, sockets near the bed etc). I wouldn’t stay here again, it’s was not value for money.

I was excited to go to Newcastle and when ai got the email to upgrade, I did because I wanted a bridge view instead I got a ‘suite’ with a bigger bed and floor plan. Traveling by myself I didn’t need a big bed or room. When I want to the front desk the manager said the upgrade was through a third party and they could not help me. The room had a view of the roof of the building next door and an office building. A small view of the river was visible when you went to the window. The bathroom door didn’t stay open and the with the lack of light in the bathroom, I couldn’t put on my makeup. Won’t stay here again. Only the smallish river view is shown

Lovely twin aspect room upgrade

It was really outdated and could do with a total refurbishment. The suite we stayed in is was just a large room with a sofa as opposed to what we would expect from a Suite based on what we have had at other hotels. The bar staff and the staff in the restaurant for breakfast were friendly and professional. The breakfast was average. All in all this hotel didn't meet our expectations and was completely overpriced for what we got, even with a deal.

Excellent stay beautiful room will definitely book again

Lovely overnight stay. Staff on reception were exceptionally helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay special. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. The double room was nice with a view, bed on the smaller side and it was hot overnight. Air conditioning didn’t appear to be working. Bathroom very clean with toiletries and a big bath. Hotel is lovely and plush, great atmosphere and very clean. Great stay will return.

Lovely hotel , but booked a room for 3 , checked in and told room only sleeps 2 and I ‘should have read the terms and conditions’! So had to pay £30 extra for a bed , and also the same for breakfast !!!! Room was £125 online , ended up paying nearly £200 !! Absolutely shocking !!!

Location on the Quayside was great. Staff on reception and bar were friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay again.

The Club Deluxe Bridge View room eceeded our expectations. The highlights were the coffee pod machine as we drink coffee all day, the spectacular view. the deep bath and the luxurious bedding which gave us both a restful eep.Wish we could have stayed for longer. Even considering changing our usual quayside hotel over the Christmas holidays.

Excellent hotel, great room!

Newly renevated. Signs of corners cut i.e hanging space/cupboards in my room were literally MDF and chipboard. Rest of furniture/room was new though. However ultomately whoever chose the red and black carpet throughout made a huge mistake. Looks grim and makes the rooms feel very small

Room and stay excellent. Reception was slightly slow as only 1 person on the desk and waited for about 10 minutes. Once a second person attended reception was much quicker. I wouldn’t say it’s a negative just a comment. Was excellent

We really liked this hotel but having been offered an upgrade was declined as we were travelling with our dog. Extra fee paid for having our dog in his own bed but were restricted to where we could gain access with him present. Either an establishment is truly ‘dog friendly’ or not. Otherwise, the hotel met our expectations and we would like to book a longer stay should this be resolved. Staff lovely, friendly and efficient and the breakfast was outstanding. Would have been nice to have a seat in the bar with our dog though.

A wonderful stay overall! I stayed in room 502 and had a river view, which was great! The service was excellent, the staff on the front desk were attentive and the staff in the bar and restaurant were fabulous both for evening meal and breakfast. The evening meal menu was quite lacking in my opinion. There is a room service option for both your evening meal, snacks and breakfast. There is car parking, in the multistorey car park directly across from the hotel. It’s £10 a night and served its purpose well. I did not use the spa on this occasion so can’t comment on the quality there. My only complaint, and this is a real nitpick, the toilet in the bathroom of my room, I didn’t have a great deal of space between the wall and the sink. I’m not a particularly large person but I struggled to fit in comfortably. Perhaps this was a design oversight, but it was a bit of a tight squeeze. Other than that, it’s excellent. Can’t wait to stay again!
