Was nice and clean. Bit of wear and tear around the doors. Bed was comfy and very quiet through the night. :)

Food at the restaurant wasn’t very good

Had a beautiful large suite on the 5th floor over looking RRS Discovery. Staff very freindly. Hotel very handy for V&A Discovery, train station and Dundee shop's.

Extremely noisy to the point in which it made sleeping impossible, with noises and music from the floor above. I contacted the receptionist at 1.30am but the problem persisted, and when mentioning it at check out, the receptionist said that there was nothing they could could have done and that the manager would contact me when he started work in a couple of hours, and I have not yet received any form of contact.

One lift wasn’t working which was a slight inconvenience and it was quiet noisy outside the property as it was a Saturday evening

Apprehensive after a less than satisfactory stay at this chain's sister property in Edinburgh but Dundee Malmaison was streets ahead in every department. From check in to check out all was handled smoothly by staff. Hotel has an excellent location with magnificent views marred a bit by scaffolding to maintain the windows. Some prior notice other than on the front of the hotel would have been appreciated! Its conversion from the derelict Tay Hotel 10 years ago is beginning to look a little tired in places with general wear and tear. Could do with a spruce up all round. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Was overlooking a brick wall. Breakfast staff worked very hard but they were clearly under-staffed and a lot of tables left uncleared.

Its starting to show its age. noisy floorboards, etc, curtains that have shrunk.

Excellent hotel. Very quiet, very comfortable and very enjoyable hotel. I’ll insist on that part. I’ve been to a lot of hotels and rarely has a room felt so comfortable for that price. The staff were nice and helpful. Great location. Free part of the breakfast is fairly basic but sufficient and the paying part come without much add-ons. I ordered Egg benedictine and got exactly that. Two small egg benedictine with absolutely no sides or anything. Too expensive for what it brings, but tasty nonetheless. Globally, a great hotel.

Not up to usual Mal standards. Bed feels low on one side so you could fall out, and squeaks unbelievably! Room in general needs a bit of tlc. Temperature.overnight was far too hot, but air con doesnt stay on, so i had to get up twice through the night to switch back on.

The hotel was lovely. The staff were very helpful and service was excellent. The room was comfortable, comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent. The only point I would make was that the bedroom was freezing at night. I put the heating on but it didn’t seem to heat the room apart from that it’s definitely a lovely hotel to stay in and would stay again.

I didn't like some other persons hair in the bath.

Our room was lovely, but I have to be honest the reception staff could have been much smarter. They were unkempt, messy and really didn’t look very interested in being there.

Lovely hotel and great service. Special shout out to Josh and Dale who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable after a small mix up. The dining room was welcoming with good food and really excellent service

We really loved our stay in Malmaison. It gave us an opportunity to relax and unwind.

Hotel as you come in and around the building etc is stunning. We had the signature suite and was lovely looking at it when first arrived. Later found dusty beding and show pillows. Dirty wool like through over on the bed. Human hairs all over the bedding and sleep pillows. Rooms were far to hot , bathroom was nice apart from the shower area black and dirty with mould. Bathroom blinds were covered in dust. Main door for entrance for our room couldn’t close properly as the hatch on the door was hanging off, reported this but nobody appeared. White stains on purple headboard and the 2 seater sofa. Bed mattress was so uncomfortable it’s unbelievable. Worst sleep ever . At £250 a night it’s totally unacceptable. Food was amazing best steak we’ve ever had. But very over priced for a restaurant in Dundee let’s put it that way. We also went out for a cigarette whilst having a drink and a member of staff from the bar area ran out like a wild dog thinking we walked out and wasn’t going to pay. Hotel rooms need freshened up especially the signature suite. I was a domestic in Ninewells for 9 half years and for guests expected to pay that kind of money for one night is unacceptable.

A lovlet old hotel renovated in great style. The grand staircase is a must see. Steps from the train station and easy to find.

Fabulous room on top floor with a very modern bathroom and exceptional shower. Super friendly and efficient staff. Great bar area downstairs with helpful and willing staff a super stay for a short break as it is a quick walk to V&A a pleasant stroll to The Law and so close to the shopping area snd some great restaurants.

No parking but public parking across the street, only pay between 8 and 6 am so if out most of the day it is inexpensive.

Very comfortable and welcoming.

Hotel was centrally located and immaculate. Our room was a great size with a huge and very comfortable bed. Views from our lovely room of the River and the ship next to the V&A. decided to have a drink at the bar on arrival and the girl serving us was really lovely and went out her way to make sure my drink was what i was hoping for.
