Warm welcome at Reception, room was ready early. Beds were so comfortable and pillows were lovely. Room clean and functional.

Ideal city centre location near to bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy. Breakfast was nice self service and a good choice of cereals, pastries and cooked food. 11am check out was an added bonus

Serious GDPR issues. The hotel refused to hand over our room key until we provided personal information; mobile number, address, email. At no point in the booking process on booking.com were we informed that this information would be required at check-in. It was clear from discussion with staff on reception that this is a frequent issue. Then after being assured we wouldn't be contacted with any spam post-stay, and ensuring we hadn't ticked or unticked any boxes agreeing to receive communication, we received three marketing emails from the property.

Lovely clean hotel, nice and quiet had great night sleep. Staff polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Nice area plenty to see and do.

Excellent Maccam hospitality, albeit from a hotel chain. Every member of staff was friendly and chatty and seemed proud to be working at the hotel. Excellent Breakfasts!

It's right in the city center, walking distance from the metro and very close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good and abundant.

It was ideal location and very clean

We were awoken in the middle of the night by a couple of girls and a guy fighting and arguing in the room next door banging doors etc This spoilt a lovely night for hubby's birthday I know it's not your fault But when l complained, l just got oh were sorry from a young girl

The room was large, comfortable and clean. Bedding was good. The best feature was the staff. All made our week there an exceptional stay and very welcomed. Friendly and service oriented!

Top location, nice clean rooms, lovely hall design, delicious breakfast. Best part of our experience was meeting the staff! Loveliest, most welcoming people. Definitely will stay there again.

Didn't have a breakfast at £14.95 to expensive, went down the road to Wetherspoons had one there for £6.50 including a drink.

Better quality toilet paper, it didn't tear properly no perforations, and to thin.

The location is very convenient for attending concerts at The Fire Station and football matches at Stadium of Light. Walking distance from railway station/metro station.

Hotel is clean. Staff on reception were polite. Room was spacey it. Breakfast was tasty

Extremely polite and helpful staff. Offered to hold our bags whilst the room was being cleaned. When the room was available early they called and informed us of this. Honestly exceptional service from everyone. The building was immaculate the entrance was very comfortable. Rooms were great size.
