We read all of the reviews and thought this place would suit our group, 6 adults in their 40's for a quiet bourbon trail trip. We were wrong! On our second night we were awakened at MIDNIGHT by a male claiming to be the home owner pounding repeatedly on the door and demanding we leave immediately without any previous issue or communication from the property manager. We felt threatened and extremely unsafe so we called the police to file a report and to help escort us out of this house! This property also has multiple cameras to which the owner admitted to watching and listening to us during our stay. NO THANK YOU! We will NEVER be returning to this property and hopefully you won't either. We were then stuck finding 3 hotel rooms, one for each couple, at 2am, which was difficult, to say the least! Finally, the property manager was VERY unresponsive to VRBO customer service when attempting to get our refund for the time we did not stay. UNACCEPTABLE!!! VRBO was only able to obtain 50% refund. Do NOT stay here! Negative stars if I could.

Spacious and beautiful home nestled in the heart of restaurant row. Beautiful natural lighting, comfortable beds, nice clean bathrooms, and open lounge spaces to read and relax. I went for my morning run right out the back door, straight down Alta Ave, and into Cherokee Park’s labyrinthine wooded trails. The best restaurants are right outside the front door and all within walking distance. Chef Lamas - Seviche is a must! We would stay here again. The Bonnycastle neighborhood is full of incredibly beautiful sights to behold.

This was a great house. We were celebrating my husbands birthday with 3 other couples. The house was PERFECT and beautifully decorated! It was very clean, had a great location and comfortable beds. Each room had a king bed with their own bathrooms. The listing was absolutely accurate and additional amentities made it even better. Excellent communication with the property manager. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had 4 couples that traveled to Louisville to celebrate my husband’s bday. We had visited Louisville before and fell in love with the Highland neighborhood so we knew we wanted to stay in this area. The home was absolutely perfect for couples. All the guys are 6ft+ so king sized beds were needed and this house had them in every room AND with en suite bathrooms. There was so much room to hang out too with two living room spaces and a big open kitchen and dining room layout. The house had plenty of supplies for cooking and washing dishes, coffee, toilet paper and bathroom needs. We didn’t need to purchase anything additional for our long weekend stay. Liquor store was at the end of the block so super convenient. We also bought tummy pies & ice cream from the pie shop next door. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Check in was easy and we were able to access the property a couple hours earlier as requested. Check out also super easy. The house is stunningly decorated- probably the nicest home we’ve ever stayed in. Would highly recommend if traveling to Louisville with a group.

We loved all staying together in this home. The beds were heavenly and the linens so soft and cozy. En suite bathrooms made it even more comfortable for our group. The kitchen and open floor plan made this place even more perfect for our families. Will def hope to book again!

We had 4 couples enjoy this property for 4 nights Nov. 2023. Could walk to many restraurants as well as Cherokee Park. Was easy drive to Football stadium as well as Churchhill Downs. The house was well equiped and comfortable for all. Everyone enjoyed their stay and would go again.

Group of 9 adults making a trip for bourbon. The location of the house was great. It was easy to get down to Whiskey Row or travel to Frankfort and Bardstown. The Highland area had lot of shops and diners which was really convenient. The en-suite rooms were very nice and the 9th guest used a pullout couch and had his own bathroom. If stairs are an issue, the master suite is the only bedroom on first floor. Property manager was quick to respond and the house was very clean and has lots of extras for the coffee lover. Very easy check out and easy to find. Would definitely stay in the house again!

Had a great stay here - the interior of the house was fantastic. Plenty of living space for our 6 guests, bedrooms all had a bathroom, decorated classically. Our host was very quick to respond to questions, and arranged for earlier checkin, which was appreciated. Walked to many restaurants, coffee houses. Great place to stay.

I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband to celebrate his 50th birthday with some of his closest friends. The house was everything we needed. Each bedroom had its own bathroom giving everyone the space and privacy of a hotel but the cozy comfort and community feel you get when renting a house. We were walking distance from several great restaurants and shopping. I will definitely book this property again it was so beautiful and my booking contact was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond! We loved it!

We loved staying in this home! We loved the spaciousness, everyone had their own bathroom, and the location was incredible. It was easy to get to, easy to find food and a great hub for enjoying Louisville. The minor downside was the traffic noise at night. Motorcycles and cars revving unnecessarily and vehicles playing music excessively loud.

Spacious, renovated, old home beautifully decorated. Quiet and comfortable with large bedrooms. Kitchen well stocked with all necessary tools/appliances for hosting a dinner party. Excellent liquor store a few doors down, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, grocery .5mile away and 11 mins drive from downtown. Prompt communication with owner. More than enough space for 7 people. Everyone in the group gave 5 stars and would stay again.

This stay was close to eateries and shops and downtown Louisville was just an uber away! We stayed to do bourbon tasting. The check-in and out was super easy. The home was clean very spacious and nicely decorated. The host was very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend!

I stayed at this home with 6 girlfriends. It was the perfect layout - well appointed bathrooms attached to each bedroom, large living spaces upstairs and on the main level, and spacious dining and kitchen area. The design and decor is so unique and beautiful. Loved being in close proximity to tons of dining options. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommended! A++

House had been nicely renovated. We were grateful that everyone had their own bathroom. Needed a little more care in that downstairs bath had a very loose faucet and the sink clogged up. I am allergic to odors and although I brought my own sheets and pillow, the fragrance from the rest of the bedding was very strong effecting my asthma. When I returned home, I found that everything that had been in the bedroom was quite fragrant. There were also some burned out lightbulbs that needed replacing.

Loved our stay at Bonnycastle! Close to downtown. All 4 bedrooms had king beds with attached bathrooms. Lots of space in the 2 family rooms! Super clean. Well appointed and decorated! Would definitely go back. The only downside is that there isn’t an outdoor space. Would have been nice in October.

Don’t let the front of the house fool you. Because it is a renovated property, the outside might look unimpressive, but once you see the inside all you’ll be able to say is: WOW! The house is impeccably kept. It is fully equipped with everything you may need and more. The amenities are top notch. The parking spaces behind the property made the stay even better.
Beautifully decorated. I got to stay at the downstairs bedroom. The only negative comment is that I could hear everything that was going on jn the rest of the house.
If I am ever again in Louisville, I will definitely try to stay here.

This house was beautiful and spacious, and in a great neighborhood in Louisville. Each couple on our trip had their own room and bathroom which was nice, and the kitchen/living area were perfect for hanging out as a big group. Easy trip to downtown or out to the Bourbon Trail. We had the best time!! The house is even more beautiful than the pictures! We had 4 couples and it was awesome that everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. There are two living room areas that are perfect for hanging out in. Great neighborhood where most things were in walking distance.

The pictures are very accurate of this beautifully appointed home. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, bedrooms and baths were good sizes and clean. Easy in and out. Parking in the back of the house but drawback is there’s no private backyard as a result.
