Quinta de Travassihos is a perfect location to base your visit to the Douro Valley. It is surrounded by vineyards and sits high atop a hill with great views of the surrounding valleys, vineyards and countryside. The owners and staff were gracious and knowledgeable. They have done an outstanding job in restoring an old building into a modern luxury accommodation. Special call out to the owners (Carlos and Helena) and Jean for making our stay such a wonderful experience. We will recommend Quinta de Travassihos to our friends and family!

The outdoor infiniti swimming pool is not heated.

This boutique hotel is one of the best we have stayed at, and we travel a lot. Helena and Ricardo are so kind and hospitable, making us feel at home from the moment we walked in. We had a few fantastic meals there, drinks and snacks at the pool and the breakfast was outstanding. Our room was huge and spotless, with heavy shutters to keep out the heat and keep it dark for lie-ins. We got much help making tasting reservations and great pointers on where to go. The view from the pool is breathtaking, and I even had a 50-minute outdoor massage on the deck. Everything is modern, yet the interior decor and gorgeous antiques remain faithful to the property's rich history - the perfect combination. We did a challenging walk around the vast property and saw the goats, the fruit trees, the vineyards and the stream... what a great job this couple does at maintaining it! Book here, don't even doubt it.... it is a diamond of a hotel.

Piscina exterior com uma vista soberba e piscina interior bem original, um antigo lagar. A forma incrível como fomos recebidos. Pequeno almoço e jantar bastante bom. A repetir!!

Uma vez que é uma casa antiga, ouvia-se um pouco de barulho dos quartos vizinhos, mas nada que atrapalhasse.

Amazing suite, with comfortable huge bed, great walkin shower, cosy lighting. Great selection of cheese for breakfast and amazing croissants and bread. Fresh orange juice. The owners are delightful, very welcoming and available. Very close to Peso da Régua where you can find amazing restaurants.

Only downside for us was that the indoor pool has no lounge/relaxation area, it’s only the pool itself. A detail to note is that there are stairs to go up to the rooms and there is no lift - however the rooms in the top floor allow you to park your car just outside the room door (it has a separate entrance besides the main door to the house).

A decoração é de deixar o queixo caído, os anfitriões foram muito simpáticos e calorosos, tanto na recepção como durante toda a estadia, produtos alimentares de qualidade, instalações excelentes. O lagar é uma ideia incrível como piscina interior. Parabéns

Nada. Tudo excedeu as nossas espectativas

Hotel novo, refinado, de muito bom gosto, quartos amplos, confortáveis, roupas de cama e banho de excelente qualidade. O ponto alto, entretanto, é a atenção e cordialidade do casal Ricardo e Helena, anfitriões refinados e acolhedores. A piscina interna aquecida é também um dos requintes da Quinta e o vinho, produção local da Quinta, é um Douro de respeito.

A propriedade é incrível! Uma antiga casa de Quinta restaurada com perfeição. Nos sentimos em casa. Fomos muito bem recebidos pela Helena, contou-nos um pouco da história do local. Chegamos muito cansados de um passeio de bicicleta pelo Douro e fomos ao spa para relaxar. Sentimos ter ficado somente uma noite.
