The room was very dusty and not clean at all. The wall had some holes and some off paint spots too. The first night we didn’t have shampoo and conditioners. I thought this hotel doesn’t provide it but next day after I came back to the room and I saw they put them in the bathroom so that means they didn’t prepare the room for the guest. The site said continental breakfast but it was very poor contents. That made me feel no breakfast is better than that. The front was always empty and people weren’t there.

The rooms were good size. They had the heat going when we got in so it was warm when we walked in the room. It was snowing outside so was nice to come into warm room.

I was the last room by the stairs and heard every time someone came downstairs through the door. No washcloths and didn’t have any soap for the bathroom. The curtains were short so the light from the building outside shined through.

The beds could have been softer. There were little holes all over the walls.

It's not bad for the price but it wasn't the location I was expecting

The staff was nice and very helpful wuth assisting wuth transportation and ny concerns. I was uoset because my card was charged but they stated the did not charge ny card. When i paid cash for the room

That staff was helpful and was a quite place to stay second time we have stayed and it was pleasant

The room was in terrible shape. Curtains were torn and dust everywhere. I took pictures of all this. Towels had stains. We left a day early as it was just to filthy to stay

Good location where I had to go, not that far from my sister place. Less than 6 minutes

The bed spread and towels were dirty. Rooms looked old.

Dirty room with shoe prints on the wall along with dust on all wall Art. Shower leaked when you used it and the Drywall was fall off the wall around shower.

Went to see granddaughter's graduation from boot camp. Staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. The room was very comfortable and clean. Love that it has a fridge and microwave. Reasonably priced.

Bathroom door broken at top, and water in tub dripping non stop, At breakfast the juice machine only had water for the five days I was there. Everyone was unhappy with breakfast and staff didn't offer an reason for the juice.

Good room for a good price

Rooms weren’t that clean, the floors weren’t vacuumed well and there were pieces of rice on one of the comforters. They unplugged the TV, Fridge, and Microwave and I had to go behind and plug it all back up. The iron leaked water all over the table as soon as it was plugged up and the countertops were dusty. The Continental Breakfast wasn’t even worth the time. Spend your money elsewhere.

Saturday morning the gentleman that worked the front desk was to busy sleeping instead of setting up the breakfast station and when told him he was annoyed

Room was mediocre at best. Worst continental breakfast ever. Rice Krispies, Froot Loops, english muffins, toast, instant oatment, and waffles. Horrible. Bathroom door was coming off the hinges, had to lift the knob in order to close the door. Closet doors were broken and would not stay shut. Seems like no one was ever at the counter, had to ring the bell for service. Heavy scent of marijuana filled the halls at 11PM. Would probably not stay here again unless the price was under $39/nt.

It was very nice room close to six flags. We came after a Taylor swift concert and was glad to find it clean and quiet for us to rest up before our next day adventures.

There was a miscommunication regarding the shuttle. The desk clerk was rather rude when I stated we were only staying one night. He said there was a 2 night minimum to use the shuttle. Also, it was not stated that I needed to sign up for the shuttle until I happened to ask how many the shuttle could hold and if it had multiple runs. There were not enough towels in the rooms.

When I arrived at the hotel the staff was sitting there watching tv and once I received my room key entered the room to lay down and I saw bed bugs crawling under the bed sheets and also I got bit by the bed bugs. Notified the front desk of my findings and all he could say was sorry I could place you in another room

The initial room was dirty, sheets were dirty, towels were dirty and the water in the toilet kept running. Even though I asked for a non-smoking, the room smelled like smoke. It was dark because most of the hallway lights were out. The only breakfast they had was old cereal and molded bread. After the first night, I complained and they gave me another room that was a bit more clean but still it was not comfortable. The entrance to the hotel was dirty.

Place needs to be remodeled. Linens replaced and it would be worth it. Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere else.

Room was not clean and staff was rude. Owner didn't want to give me a receipt because it was purchased online and found garbage under our beds from prior occupants. Layer of dust on towels as well just showing that they don't clean anything.

In our planning for Graduation, we wanted to stay close to the base. We chose America's Best as it is only three miles or so from there. We booked a king room for our stay and were given a room with two doubles. I asked about the King room-which was what our reservation stated-and was told they only have two. The room available was clearly designed for someone in a wheelchair (roll-in shower). I chose to stay with the doubles in the event someone who truly needed the shower came in. I am glad I travel with Lysol and shower cleaner-we needed it! The bathroom (especially the floor) was disgusting. The room itself was average with what appeared to be clean sheets, but looked like the carpet hadn't been swept in weeks. We were provided one packet of coffee for the room. I asked at the desk for at least one more and the clerk had no idea where it was kept. Continental breakfast consisted of a pot of coffee on a hot plate-nothing else. The worst part was the lack of security. The door to the back parking lot not only did not lock, it didn't even close completely. For those of you whose son or daughter are enlisting in the Navy, please, go about 10 minutes up the road to Gurnee. There are many nice hotels there for about a 10 minute longer drive. It will be well worth the extra few minutes. Our son will be attending A school at Great Lakes and we will be visiting again. We will most definitely NOT be staying here. As the old Salts say, 'Steer clear, Mate'.
