We loved the quiet location - not much else going on in the village when we were there, not even a shop. However, just two minutes drive away is a large Alpha Mega supermarket. Skarinou is situated around 25 mins drive into Limassol, 45 mins into Larnaca and about an hour over to the Aiya Napa and Protaras area of the island. Paphos is about 75 mins away so ideally placed to explore during your stay. Our two bed apartment was split over two levels with great outdoor space both on the ground floor and on the first floor balcony which is also accessible from the ground floor via a stairway. The accommodation was clean and well- presented. The pool and surrounding area is fantastic and the kids (12 & 10) spent as much time in it as they could. As with the rest of Cyprus, there are many cats around as well as a few kittens which is always a favourite with our daughters. The place is managed and run by a french lady called Jennifer who was lovely and so so helpful.

Our apartment could do with a little maintenance - I think the complex was renovated in around 2006 - and in places it shows. The kitchen which wasn't well equipped and could do with updating to include an oven and the shower heads didn't hold up in position without some improvising. They weren't draining well either but otherwise everything worked without issue. The beds were a little hard too - there were slabs of plywood under our mattress so I assumed the springs in the metal frame were shot!

Everything was amazing. We will definitely come back.

One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed at… super cozy, traditional decor, great pool, nice spacious room with all necessities… we were also able to prepare breakfasts and dinners. There’s a lot of super cute cats roaming around and asking for affection. Best of all, Jennifer, the lady working there… is an absolute Angel and took amazing care of us in every way possible. They have some beach umbrellas that guests can borrow, which is also very useful. It’s located in a cute village beside a beautiful church… 2 min from the highway, gas station and a big supermarket. There are big free parking lots nearby too. It’s a self check in process, which is great because you can arrive or leave at any hour! We drove from here to Ayia Napa no problem… much better than staying in Larnaca or Ayia Napa!! We will definitely come back here!

Bathroom in a cabin inside the room, no sun protection outside, ants inside, sofa uncomfortable. Door not that safe to lock.

Jenifer the hostess is a wonderful person who takes so much care in her job, helpful, friendly and very welcoming. The place is beautiful and the location was great

it’s very hard to find since there is no sign in any entrance that said Aphrodite Pool Retreat. Also on booking the address said number 10 when it’s really number 30. At the entrance to the place it said Mari’s place.
