C’est excentré mais pour un dépaysement total c’est parfait.

First I did not want to post feedback, but after consideration, I feel I need to warn travelers not to get into this pitfall.

Read before staying here, few facts: Reality and photos are two different pictures, rooms are very dirty and poorly maintained. Stains on linen. The staff is totally untrained and doesn't know what to do. The place looks and feels totally neglected. They speak no English at all, your typical taxi driver in Bali speaks better than a whole staff. Everything is super cheap, soap and body wash feels like watered dish cleaner. The air conditioner is just not capable of cooling the room. There are no robes, slippers, pool towels. Breakfast itself if nice, however, there was only one person in the kitchen and she was capable on delivering only 1 meal per 10 minutes. So if there is a family of 4 people in front of you, you will wait 60 minutes (4 people in front of you plus 20 for two of you). Rats are everywhere, on walls on roofs, and on the ground floor. I suspect all positive reviews are fake. This property is a cheater. It happens rarely in Bali, but this is the case.

Upon arrival we had the warmest greeting from the staff at Barong Bali resort. Check in was simple and we were helped to our room with our bags. We hired a moped for the day directly from the hotel which was so cheap. The location is absolutely perfect in terms of getting to Mount Batur (about 1 hour), Gosek quad biking adventure was only up the road, we also visited Cretya for the day which again was 10 minutes down the road. The hotel is located outside of Ubud centre and is scenic and peaceful. The rooms were absolutely amazing, with their own pools and gorgeous bathrooms. Clean and modern but also traditional. The beds were huge and really comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, you could either have this in your room or in the restaurant. We also ate here each night and every meal was wonderful - there’s a lot of variety. Also the best Nasi Goreng we’ve tasted yet! We made a few requests during our stay and again, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had such a lovely break!

- der Großteil des Personals spricht kaum englisch - die angegebene Zimmergröße von 100m2 ist leider nicht korrekt. Die Poolvilla hatte 20-25m2 + einen Außenbereich von ebenfalls 20-25m2 - das erste Zimmer hatte kein Moskitonetz und war nicht sauber (die Toilette war nicht gereinigt und im Badezimmer lag Plastikmüll auf dem Waschtisch. Zudem war die Badezimmertür defekt und mit einem Vorhängeschloss versperrt. Man musste über die Terrasse ins Badezimmer gelangen - bei Nacht keine tolle Vorstellung! Wir konnten dann das Zimmer wechseln. Es war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hatte aber immerhin ein Moskitonetz und einen Badezimmer Zugang - Essen: im Frühstück war leider 1x eine Raupe im Frühstück. Ansonsten sehr hochpreisig aber ok - sehr hellhörig. Um ca 5-6 Uhr morgens beginnt ein Reisfeldmitarbeiter die Vögel mit seiner Trompete aufzuscheuchen. Trotz Ohropax leider nicht zu überhören -TV funktioniert nicht (Signalstörung)

La chambre La vue La propreté Et surtout le personnel : quel accueil chaleureux et quel sens de l’hospitalité ! Merci également à Tuyul, chauffeur de l’hôtel qui a été extraordinaire.

Plus de pression dans la douche aurait été parfait.

I just loved it. The place is absolutely stunning, the area is amazing, the food is top, the service is excellent. I spent 2 weeks by myself and I had the best time. I definitely will come back !!! I'm since one month in bali and this is definitely the best place I stayed so far. The units are stunning !! I felt I'm in paradise in the middle of the jungle. The view and the sound of the nature was just so peaceful and relaxing. I can't even tell what was my favourite about my unit because everything was just so nice. But one thing I really liked was the free bathtub. It was so nice to take a bath in the evening and just listen to nature. There was enough space to storage all my stuff. The bed was really comfortable and high enough to storage all my luggage underneath. So I could enjoy the view of my unit without any bags or luggage around and everything was nice and tidy. I had a little fridge where I could sotrage some drinks or food. The service was excellent. Everyone who works there is really friendly and was always there for me. Doesn't matter what issues I had, what questions I had they always solved it immediately. I really enjoyed the room service and always ordered a massage or breakfast into my unit. The food is top and the price is very good. I ate everyday in the restaurant. Mostly in the evening because everything looks really cosy with lights and candles. Sometimes they had some entertainment like live music or baliniese dancing. It was Top !! The area is amazing. I went everyday for a walk or just rent a bike in the hotel and explored the area. They have temples and waterfalls really close to the resort. And even the famous rice fields or bali swings are not far away. You have many stuff around you can do or you can explore. But the most beautiful thing for me was the pure nature. Suskma 🙏🏽

The place is wonderful, the room is exceptional but the pool, the bath, the comfortable bed, and the view is amazing. I will recommended 100%
