Predominately the location

Very basic, wifi not working properly, shortage of cutlery (2 plates, no glasses) definitely a short stay facility. When we left message regarding broken toilet seat and wifi we received no response.

Great location for cruise ships and there are facilities close at hand - with some attention to detail it could be a very good stopover for a night.

Self check in system was an issue as the keypad wasn’t easy to find and we had to call for assistance. We then went out for food and couldn’t get back in as the system had auto locked so had to call for help again. after travelling all day it was an inconvenience we could have done without. Staff did send someone to help and to open the door but we were left feeling that we had inconvenienced them. Cutlery was dirty. A bedside table and table lamp at the single bed and a small table for general use would have been good

Location to central Southampton, good car park nearby. The property was a new conversation, spotless.

Small fridge would have been handy, otherwise excellent.

Codes a bit temperamental

Access locks very impressive, room was modern, spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, smart TV and free WiFi, microwave, toaster and kettle in room. Heating was good, nice big window.

Although the room was modern, we felt there were a few finishing touches like paintwork that needed attention (paint on floor, fire alarm point), and removing labels, plastic and instructions for appliances from the room. The blind in the bedroom needs to be secured to the wall properly as it's hanging off, and there is a loose plug socket in the bathroom which needs attention. A selection of breakfast tea and coffee satchets would've been nice too as green tea is an acquired taste. Also with there being a mini kitchen in the room, perhaps some plates/bowls or even a mini fridge would be nice, or even a little sink to wash the dishes in.
