We stayed at DoubleTree Times Square south while on a short, fast-paced trip to NYC. We paid a bit extra for an Empire State Building view (worth it). The rooftop bar offers amazing, almost 360, views of the city. Reception area can get slightly busy at check in/out times as it’s only small. Our biggest moan would be the elevators, with only 3 serving the 29 floors. You sometimes have to wait a while.

Hotel staff was incredibly sweet. Our room was cozy with an amazing view!

Overall great stay. The room is quite small (the packnplay I brought for my son just barely fit between the bed and the wall), but was very clean and nicely updated. The bathroom was fine sized (not too small) and also quite clean). I asked for extra towels and they were brought up right away. And the front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful.

The beds are labeled at “King” but are not King beds, the AC was as loud as a car when it ran. They refunded two nights but the first person I talked to said they would get it fixed and never did.

Easy checkin process with friendly staff. The location was fantastic, near everything we wanted to see. The room wasn’t huge but fit what we needed. Very clean, great water pressure and very comfortable beds and pillows. It fit our needs and we were very happy.

It was wonderful. I felt special when I entered my room and saw my name on the tv screen welcoming me as a Hilton Honors member. The rooftop bar was so fun. I danced until they closed. Wonderful experience. This is my hotel when I'm in NY.

Very convenient close to where we worked, the receptionists were helpful especially with parcels, the doorman went extra mile to help us find a taxi to get to the workplace as we were carrying a lot of boxes for work

If you want to stay in the heart of New York, great accommodation. Room was a little on the small side but very clean and beds were comfortable.

Excellent room, convenient for getting around New York. Easy walking distance to Penn Station. Worth paying for the extra, to have a view of the Empire State building from the bedroom as the views were amazing of this. Great rooftop bar for a lovely view of the new look skyline at night.

Very nice mid price hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, clean, and relatively quiet for NYC - nothing the hotel could control, just normal big city noise. Staff was kind and accommodating when we had an emergency. Would consider booking here again

Great hotel with clear view of the Empire State Building from our room. Super clean and smelled fresh. Staff was outstanding and loaded us up with fresh cookies daily. The room was super small, but worked due to it being my husband and myself. I’d definitely stay again, just in a larger room.
