So we just got done with our stay at Hotel Charlie.
The pros. Location is great. It’s right in the middle of the boardwalk. It’s quiet, and we did go in the off season. Easily accessible to the beach. Beds were comfy and clean.
Now for the cons. Where do I begin? Place is run down and the room was dirty. Dust was visible throughout the room. Furniture looks like it has seen its better days. Parking lot can fit 5 cars maximum. There is a parking lot across the street, which they did let me park at. That was pretty small too. I get that it’s the Jersey Shore, and none of the places on the boardwalk look up to par, but this was ridiculous. I also got charged for an extra person at a whopping $116. They would not take the charge off. First night it was myself and my 3 children. Next night it was myself and 2 children. We were located on the 3rd floor so there is one staircase. Fire hazard?? Don’t look for food downstairs, the restaurant was closed the whole weekend. We made the best of the weekend but if I return to Seaside Heights I will definitely search for a different property,

Overall a nice stay. Nice roof patio and coffee and food right there. Right on the boardwalk and far enough away from the rides to avoid the noise. Beautiful Oceanview!

Parking is located 2 blocks from hotel. Rooms are very small, bed was uncomfortable and broken to the point I thought it would crumble underneath us. The room is very small and we kept bumping into things just trying to move around. Bathroom is very small also. Since the room is right on the boardwalk so it is very loud until about 10pm.

It’s right on the boardwalk so if you’re going to be spending time on the beach or boardwalk for any extended period of time it’s very convenient. But it is really just a place to sleep. The rooms are very barebones, just a bed, end tables, a bathroom, and a small tv. It’s my understanding they may be renovating some rooms, but it’s definitely not a room I’d be spending any amount of time in other than to sleep.

This property is terrible old the bed are very uncomfortable, the windows don’t have anything to block light, noise in the reception there is nobody you have to call the phone and sometimes they don’t answer, is terrible and very pricey l pay close to $ 600.00 for a doble bed , the picture are completely different than what it is

The motel was better than I expected. It is of walking distance to all the nearest attractions. The beds were comfortable. There was remodeling happening when I was there. For the price, it was nice.

We booked 2 nights. $350 CAN. it was absolutely disgusting. We arrived after a 10hr drive. No one was in the office. And when someone finallly came in, they just finished smoking a joint.
We packed up and left at 8am after our first night. We had a 1 yr old and a 4yr old. The hotel was EMPTY and they put us 4 levels up, all stairs facing away from the ocean.
The room was hardly cleaned. Sticky floor from a previous party. Party beads and whistle in the room. A used Qtip on the floor. Sheets of toilet paper under the red bed cover. Our room smelled of cigarettes and weed.
A floor heater hot to touch. So extremely unsafe for kids. Splatter all over the bathroom wall near the sink. Toilet paper stuffed all around the A/C unit that was rotting from the wall. And the beds were on metal futon bases.
Weve contacted expedia to refund our money, but the hotel refuses to answer and return their calls. Its been an awful experience. I would never recommend this hotel and its a shame expedia is allowing a buisness like this to advertise on their site.

Room was dirty, sheets were stained, outlet hanging out of the wall, shower was never cleaned from previous guest. If I was to change in my room, anybody driving by could have seen me through it. Toilet itself was never cleaned and stained. No other lock on the door besides the hotel key we were given (only one mind you) we actually gave them there key back and went down to another hotel 4 minutes away because the place did not seem safe. We also waited 15 minutes in the “lobby” to just get our keys in the first place.

Toilet paper holder was broke. They gave us two towels and no wash cloths. We had to ask for more.No clock, no phone. No coffee pot. Took 18 minutes to let the shower run for hot water. The only perk of this hotel is that it's right on the boardwalk. Oh, and we found out, its close to the Hersey Shore house.
