The hotel staff is excellent, they also did the favor of reserving a taxi that came right on time for pickup. The location is always amongst the most important when choosing a hotel, and this is perfectly at the center of the city's center. You can walk anywhere from here. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Gran Hotel Ingles, it is a must when visiting Madrid.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were gorgeous. A super great shower, which is often hard to find in a hotel! Being there on Christmas, they had festive decorations, a candy bar, and lots of treats left for us. Breakfast was lovely, the gym was small but nice and the beds were so cozy. The location was extremely convenient. We didn’t want to leave!

No word can describe this hotel but AMAZING! Every thing during our week stay was just perfect. It started with a great welcoming in the reception, they upgraded our room to a premium room which was so nice and spacious. The bed was huge (king size) and very comfortable with a pillow menu !!! Breakfast was lovely and very tasty (including the variety from the menu). The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of Madrid, a walking distance to all main attractions, but in a quiet street. But above all there was the staff - each one of them was so kind, welcoming and helpful, especially Joaquin, the concierge, which was so patient and recommended places, restaurants, bars and everything else we asked and his recommendations were wonderful. We will definitely return to Madrid and for sure choose again Gran Hotel Inglés.

The layout of the hotel is very warm and welcoming with beautiful tables and couches around. An excellent bar sits at the back. The Front Desk staff were very attentive and responsive to my needs, my room was large with every imaginable amenity and a beautiful claw tub. The hotel is close to all the major sites and museums (walking distance). It is difficult now to leave such a wonderful place - I recommend breakfast each day in the hotel (magnificent) and the bar serves the most cold and tasty cosmo I ever had! No detail was left unattended. I can’t wait to return. Gracias!

Very attentive staff in a beautifully restored boutique hotel in a fun part of Madrid. Walkable to most attractions like the Prado and royal palace and also the train station for quick trips to Toledo or a hop to Barcelona. Located on a quiet-ish side street. I stayed here with my wife and 2 young kids in a suite comprised of 2 adoining rooms. Accomodations were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and renovated well. A few small negatives like a broken minibar didn't take away from the overall experience. Highly recommended for a city break, especially for Americans who are new to Madrid.

The staff is impeccable! So kind, efficient and helpful. The service was top notch and really made our stay enjoyable! They seem to like their work and have a positive demeanor. The room amenities were excellent! The food in the restaurant and lounge was also very good. Great location. All in all a wonderful experience.

The exuberance of our bartender Emmanuela ensured that we returned for our nightly cocktail. In summary this hotel is first class.
