Clean large room with tho separate beds, clean large bathroom, nonstop reception with helpful staff.

The room was above the noisy street with huge traffic even during the night. In the room 112 it was impossible to close the window properly and so the noise and dust from the street went permanentry partially into the room. The breakfest was a bit simply. One bed was a bit noisy.

Very close to station. Felt safe and quiet. Breakfast basic but fresh and satisfying. Nice decor in the hotel.

Check in was confusing, possibly due to language but the man thought we were a different booking! He took a bit of convincing! No WIFI codes forthcoming.

A great if slightly basic hotel in the town centre, safe parking once unloaded (pay for 10 minutes street parking while you check in & then move your vehicle), plenty to see & do within walking distance.

All good,particularly at this price point.

Great value hotel, I have stayed before and it remains as good. Very convenient for railway station and therefore for exploring the Douro valley. Aircon was very effective. Breakfast very relaxed. Nice staff.

Nothing to dislike

This was probably my first time in a 2 Star hotel, but I was still appalled by condition of hotel. However, beds & bathroom seemed clean and the breakfast was OK.

There was a VERY FOUL smell of a sewer in the bathrooms of both rooms. I emphasize, it was a VERY FOUL Smell. If I had the option to leave the hotel I would have. I requested a minimum 50% refund as this was refused by the person at reception, even those his colleague acknowledged the foul smell the night before when we checked in. He even provided us with an air freshener One of our bedroom doors didn't close properly. The second bedroom door looked like someone had tried to break in. In fact, I didn't feel overly secure in the hotel. Rooms were 205 & 206. Finally, the quality of the pillows was low.

It was all good. Great location. Man who checked us in very kind and helpful. Room lovely and airy, bed comfortable, bathroom clean with spacious shower. Breakfast fine.
