Andy and Tracey were so friendly and really made us feel welcome! Great local knowledge, which was a a big help for us seeking some nice walks! Yummy breakfast and comfortable rooms! Single room pretty tight for space but ideal for what we needed!

Cooked breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day. We were very fortunate to get a parking spot across the road so another added bonus. Location of guesthouse to town centre was fantastic.

There was nothing we didn’t like - everything was outstanding and the added touches (clothes dryer, milk in downstairs fridge etc) were very kind/thoughtful of our hosts.

I was perfectly happy with my stay at Herdwick Guest House and would consider staying there again on my next visit to the Lakes.

Great guest house. Very central with easy check-in. Street parking which you may need to hit lucky to get right outside but we managed no problem. Breakfast was lovely with alot of choice. Couldn't fault the place and would definately stay again.

The bed was a little uncomfortable and could have done with a mattress topper on. Other than that there were no issues at all.

The shower took a while to heat up. But just let it run and it gets to a lovely temperature.

Tracey and Andy were lovely and accomodating hosts. The breakfast was delicious, rooms were spotless and pleasant, and the B&B was very close to the city centre anda quick walk from Derwent Water.

The breakfast was very good. They give you a little card in the morning to let you select what you would like to eat for the next morning. Greeted by both Andy and Tracey upon arrival. Everything was clean and tidy.

I booked a very small room, knowing that I would not be spending much time there as I was competing in an outdoor event .The room was as expected, small but fine for my needs. The breakfast and hosts, Andy and Tracey, were great.

The hosts were really friendly and helpful. They always made the effort to speak to their guests and gave good ideas during our stay. The room was superbly clean, the breakfast was delicious! Close to town. The self check in was a great idea, had all the necessities including a fan in the room! Would definitely stay again!
