The location and breakfast

We stayed 2 nights. Our clock was unplugged and so was the refrigerator, which we did not discover until the next morning so we had to plug it in. Under the fridge was tape at the bottom. We were NOT told that our room would not be cleaned since we were staying 2 nights, so trash didn’t get emptied, beds were not made and no handicap parking.

I drive between Phoenix and Dallas several times a year. The Comfort Inn at La Mesilla is my favorite place to stay. It's like a short vacation. Great hotel and great location. I look forward to staying there.

Pet fee - $35 per pet - is higher than typical. It's not a deal breaker but it does seem high. I travel with 2 small well behaved dogs so the fee does add up.

Breakfast was ok. Only egg option was a cheese omelet.

Front counter staff and booking.com. We booked for arrival 8/7 at midnight. Booking.com rolled our reservation to 8/8. We got to the hotel officially at 12:10 am on 8/8. Front staff said we couldn't check in until 3:00 pm. Booking.com wouldn't give us a refund or change the check-in date. We had to pay for another room.

Friendly customer service. Rooms were clean. A large variety of food to choose from at breakfast.
