The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good. The man who checked us in was nice.

This place is in the middle of a renovation and should be completely closed. The room was out of date and in bad shape, a dirty cup was on the floor, and, in the morning, in the hallway, bits of insulation and who knows what else all around. We had a hard time finding it because it looks closed and the side entrance is only marked by a handwritten “We are open” sign. When the renovation is complete, this might be a “maybe” place but stay away until then. I’ve traveled a lot for work to some pretty unglamorous places and this was still top 3 worst ever.

Bare minimum of everything, very scratchy towels, none of the little things (like a TV station guide), said breakfast included but nothing ( not even energy bars), email explaining some short comings came long after commitment with no refund allowed, construction everywhere so very hard to find. First thought when seeing hotel in person was it was a scam. They were maintaining a very high price tag for a night in spite of lack of perks. We stayed in multiple hotels during our trip and this was the worst. Redeeming value was the employee we met. She was professional and kind.

The property is under renovation so it didn’t meet normal standard on a Country property.

The person who answered the telephone at the property was very nice, but unable to help us with our issue.

We were unable to cancel our reservation and we charged for the night. My husband had a medical emergency causing a visit to the ER. After this, we needed to go directly home, skipping some of our designated sightseeing stops. we would be passing through Elyria much earlier than originally planned. We attempted to cancel several days in advance but, in the hotels defense, we missed the preset cancellation deadline.
