House space for family vacation is excellent.

The view is amazing! The whole place is isolated, private and beautiful. The sheeta and bed are the most comfortable ive ever slept on. Everyone was lovely. The taxi service is fast cheap and easy to use and easily overcame the distance from centro issue. Fridge in the room

There should have been more sun loungers on the jetty, and it was quite a long walk to the nearest restaurant/bar/cafe.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. the property is very peaceful , very quiet.

They don't offer breakfast. No help was given on check out with the luggage. There was a receptionist but he didn't help and there is no lift and difficult access with luggage. Night receptionist does not understand English so a bit problem to communicate.

We loved our stay here, our unit was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. The water access is lovely - at times we had the dock to ourself and the swimming is spectacular. The hosts were very helpful and responded to our every request.

It's a 5 minute drive from the centre of Bacalar - it makes it difficult for meals but we didn't mind this as we had a rental car.

The road to access the hotel is unpaved. But this is an insignificant detail. No signage on the main road... Makes it tricky the first time you're trying to find the hotel.

The property was private and set in a gorgeous part of the city. The back deck on the lagoon was perfect for relaxation.

The property was very hard to find. There are few road signs and Boa Boa had no sign out front at all. The road getting there was dirt, rocky and bumpy. We stopped multiple times to ask locals where it was. Everyone was friendly. Once we found it, it was beautiful but just stressful trying to locate a property with no sign.

There is no service (bar, restaurant, food). There is no road to the hotel: just a rocky path The room is very rustic/basic, Robinson Crusoe style. We had the full experience with spiders and their nets in our hair and clothes. The bed sheets were green and not white like in any other hotel. This is a red flag for us as it is more difficult to judge if they are clean or not. They lend you Kayak at a fee (other hotels offered it for free).

Amazing private (shared with other guests) garden and dock at the lake. We watched the sunrise there and took a morning swim. The room was really nice and stylish decorated, with a view on the Lagoon. Shower worked well!

If you don't have a car, it's quite far from the center of Bacalar, where all the nice restaurants and bars are. For this reason we only stayed one night at Boa Boa where we ordered pizza, and 3 other nights at a different hotel closer to the center. Because the dock is quite popular with all of the guests, and there are only 6 beds, you might have to wait your turn.

The area with bungalows is very beautiful. Private pier is also very lovely. Communication is pretty good and staff are available probably all the time via whatsapp. Interior of the bungalow is cute and has some nice touches - in general the whole idea about being close to the nature is awesome.

The short road to the hotel from the main road is terrible (it is not hotel issue, but it was painful driving it every single time). The bungalow that we stayed in could have some re-freshing (window nets looked dirty, doors with mosquito net are hardly closing, one wooden plank on the terrace floor is broken, light stripe in the toilet is broken and only short part of it is working, bottom part of the mirror frame almost falling). We missed kayaking at sunrise due to staff forgetting to bring kayak at the right time (to be fair, they returned the money and offered kayak for another day for free, but we already had other plans). There was some bad smell close to toilet/shower area (again, staff reacted to our complains and cleaned some clogs or dirt there). Boa Boa itself is a very calm area, but hotel nearby had some parties and music till quite late. All these things would probably be totally acceptable if not the price that one has to pay for a stay here, which puts quite high expectations for a troubleless stay.

Location is awesome, and their lagoon deck is really great to just chill and enjoy the view, or even get on a kayak and paddle away. They're very friendly and answer any request very quickly

One of my favorite spots on my trip. Beautiful room with a peekaboo view of the lake. Nicely appointed with water and coffee in the room. Loved sitting out on the dock at night. Very friendly reception. We absolutely loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

We a a little crack in our wall where lizards/ bugs could get in but it wasn’t a big deal at all.
