Amazing experience. Hotel is clean, personnel friendly, and the layout and decoration is second to none. Solid wood interior thru out the place is exquisite and makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for a business or pleasure trip.

The room was big and lots of natural light

Lots of noise from the road so we could not open the windows at night, the heating was running at full scale even though it was 30 degrees outside, and even after switching it off if got crazy warm in the room over night. Dead insects on the windows and shutters, dirt in the bathroom. Breakfast could only be served to the room and was very poor, very little food and not of good quality.

I travel through Puerto Varas frequently on business and I have stayed at Puelche several times, as well as other hotels in the area. This is a charming hotel and I have enjoyed it in the past..

My only complaint on this particular visit was the quality of the "in room" breakfast. Of course, most hotels are serving breakfast in the rooms due to Covid, which is understandable and I'm fine with it. I just thought Puelche's version of the "in room breakfast" was pretty basic and not up to the standards of the hotel. Instant coffee, small portions, bread and kuchen just ok. During the pandemic most guests are pretty much stuck in their rooms so I think the hotels should go out of their way to make this experience a little more pleasant.

The room was big and the bed was enormous, the size of 2x Double beds together. Parking was on the road but easy. The hotel is out of the centre of town but still within easy reach. The restaurant is OK, the staff were mainly OK but there is something wrong when you order a cooked meal and it is served up within five minutes.

Apart from the receptionist the staff were unfriendly, especially in the breakfast room The breakfast was poor, portion and choice was budget-controlled and the attitude was take it or leave it. The wifi was very bad. All in all it is a bed for one or two nights to go sightseeing, not somewhere I would recommend for a longer stay
