Although the property was a bit older than the usual hotels that I frequent, I found it very charming and much more spacious than newer properties. I appreciated the robe, slippers, toiletries, shower caps etc. All the amenities were on par with much more expensive places. The balcony was wonderful.

1. I did not have access to my emails for several days before my arrival so I was a bit confused when there was no way to enter the property. The doors were locked. There was no one in the lobby to give me any direction. I did not know that I was supposed to register at the other hotel. Luckily a guest came out and let me into the lobby. While we were speaking, a woman employee came into the lobby and allowed me to register and gave me a key to my room. It all worked out. 2. I wish that I could have had breakfast earlier than 8:30am because I had to leave early on my checkout day and didn't have time to have breakfast. Something to go would have been nice to take for the road. 3. I wasn't sure if the property had air conditioning. I didn't need it for my stay as the weather was cool enough.

The air conditioning was broken the first night, and even once it was fixed it didn’t cool the room. Also, there was black mold all over the ceiling if the bathroom

Breakfast is perfect and received in the room. Location is good, a short cable car ride from the main port.

Rafaella was amazing! It was truly amazing to have her "continental breakfast" on our patio every morning with a few of the ocean. The location was really great as well, close enough to get where we wanted to go but it was very quiet at night.

The views from the balcony were unbelievable. The rooms were beautiful and beds super comfy and we slept very well. Raphealla and all the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was great and lots to choose from and the brownies were the best I’ve ever had! Enjoying the breakfast on the balcony was a memory in itself. I would highly recommend Villa Calypso to anyone as it was a perfect place to stay and very close to everything.

Breakfast was just ok - wish there was something hot, not just carbs. Staff didn't speak English, which is ok, just makes things harder.

the view from the balcony / bedroom was amazing. it was reasonably close walking distance to Capri square. breakfast was served to your balcony from a lovely lady on a trolley in the morning time.

they did not offer any service to take your bags or offer a lift from the port and did not notify us of the climb up to Capri town from the port. it was a very intense climb. I am a very fit person and my shirt was drenched in sweat by the time we arrived. even if no service offered, we were not warned of the severe climb and we had luggage. The mini bar in the room had a sign saying no storage of drinks was in the room but you are welcome to phone a number left in the sign for room service… I rang for 2 bottles of beer to enjoy in our balcony and was refused, on my second phone call for the service I repeated the signs writing 3 times before eventually they gave in ( against there will ) if the sign had not been there I don’t think I’d have rang or persisted but why would you offer a service and then refuse the service.

Great location, close to the Piazzetta but at the same time in a quiet street and with view to the sea. Nice breakfast either in room or your terrace. On top of that, Rafella is very kind and helpful and makes you feel really at home. Only "regret" is that I stayed only one night; 2 or 3 would have been better, both to explore more of the island (several interesting hiking paths) and enjoyed more time on the terrace ;-)
