Mary and Doug have provided everything a guest could possibly want, and their home overlooking Charlottetown is beautifully situated and maintained. We have already recommended it to friends and hope to return ourselves in the near future.

We liked it very much in Stratford. It was clean, comfortable and a very nice view!

This is more like an apartment. It is spacious and has all the necessities you would need. The view is gorgeous and the sunsets are beautiful. Doug and Mary are the best hosts. Lots of information on what to see and do. It was a super vaca!

We stayed here before, during and just after Hurricane Fiona came through. Quite the experience. But we never felt we were at any severe risk - even though the neighbourhood suffered pretty significant damage. The property is a walk-out basement of a full house, facing onto but a safe distance setback from the bay and overlooking Charlottetown. Doug an Mary were excellent hosts and, while affording us our privacy, were proactive and communicative in ensuring our safety and comfort throughout. Great location with good views of Charlottetown waterfront. The deck chairs on the dock are a peaceful place to watch the Bald Eagles fish. We travelled the island on day trips and found this to be the perfect home-base. Quiet neighbourhood with open space and walking paths right outside the door for our dog. Close to groceries, restaurants, beer / liquor / wine store. The unit was perfectly appointed with high quality appliances, great blankets and comfortable beds and Doug and Mary are very kind and very organized. The info binder is a wealth of information that, if you didn't already have a plan for your stay, would help make your visit much more enjoyable. Great to have the BBQ, especially when the power went out. Would definitely recommend. If / when we're back in Charlottetown, no doubt we'll stay again.

Doug and Mary should publish the manual on appointing and stocking an exceptional vacation property. Extremely comfortable and quiet; fantastic location. Have already recommended this property to friends and relatives. Hope to come back here again.

Property clean and as described in online photos. Quality furnishings and all accessories supplied. It was nice to be welcomed and orientated by the homeowners upon arrival. Hosts were friendly and a wealth of information when it came to Island history and suggested activities. The views were fantastic and ever changing with tide and ships coming and going in the harbor opposite the residence. Great place to relax and easy access to downtown and any services required. Personally, I enjoyed the many bike paths and quiet, secure neighborhood. Could not have made a better choice for an extended stay. Mary (June 20 - July 17, 2022)

We loved looking out over the Harbour from our private backyard. The sunsets were beautiful and evenings around the fire pit are memorable. Lots of comfortable room inside.

Doug and Mary’s house was beautifully located, had spectacular views and is a 2 minute drive to downtown Charlottetown. If you are a cyclist it’s a fantastic location for that as well. There is a lovey grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and local beach all within 5 minutes drive. Dougs guest book was the best prepared I’ve ever seen, his suggestions for dining and activities were greatly appreciated. It is clean, spacious and the beds and bedding are luxurious like a 5 star hotel. Kitchen is immaculate and everything you need is provided and seemed brand new. No oven but a very nice bbq is right outside under the covered porch. If I was to have one suggestion it would be some ceiling fans. A window air conditioner was provided and we were cool enough but a ceiling fan with windows open would have been the ultimate comfort. That being said it probably isn’t needed most of the time, we happened to stay during a rare heat wave. Thankyou again for the great stay!

One of the best places I have stayed- minutes from downtown Charlottetown and great views. Hosts were amazing and the little extras they provided were appreciated. Would stay there again.

Upon planning for a Girls trip to NS, I searched and searched for the perfect place for all of us to stay in PEI. I went back and forth between Charlottetown and This property. After I kept coming back to Doug and Mary's listing, I booked it! and what a GREAT decision it was. This is the BEST HomeAway property I have ever stayed at. This house is the most perfect location and the most AWESOME view of Charlottetown. Very convenient to Charlottetown too. Doug and Mary have included every little detail that you could possible think of! Would highly recommend this property for its location, and incredible amenities!! Lovely, clean,comfortable,spacious and well equipped apartment. Every room had a window with a view of Charlottetown Harbour but enjoyed most sitting by the water’s edge sipping my morning coffee. The owners are very friendly and helpful and eager to make your stay a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this property, we had a fabulous 5 day stay here!

This place was fully stocked with Everything you could ever want. It was very clean and quiet and the view at night was beautiful. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place for just a weekend or an extended stay.

Loved everything about Doug and Mary’s place. They have done a phenomenal job of making it a delightful place to stay. Everything is perfect. If we ever visit PEI again, this is where we will stay for a few days. Their little dog Archie is a cutie pie.

We had a very comfortable stay in PEI at Doug and Mary's apartment. They thought of everything to make travel easy. The view (even in the winter) was stunning. We would definitely come back to enjoy it again.

This was not our first time on the Island but it was our first time staying at this beautiful home. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy. Great location with a view to match. Very quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous sunsets. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day - the perfect home base. Doug and Mary were lovely, and very thoughtful hosts. We would definitely stay there again!

A very quiet and friendly neighbourhood that has stunning views of the harbour. Mary and Doug are amazing hosts that were very welcoming. They even had the kitchen stocked with some of the essentials which was very thoughtful. Large bedrooms and bathroom. Very modern and clean place as well. Walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Very close to Charlottetown and the airport. Would recommend to anyone travelling with or without dogs.

We loved these accommodations. We were welcomed by Doug & Mary. They explained the functions of the apartment, and provided us with start up foods and maintenance items. Very easy to drive to in the Stratford area and on the Scenic driving trail. They included a notebook of info about the area, restaurant reviews, and there check out procedure, etc. The view of the harbor from our living area was outstanding, giving us a gorgeous sunset. We have rented many vrbo’s, and this one is most Highly recommended in our opinion. Thanks again Mary & Doug
