The apartment we got in the end was pleasant and had mostly what we needed. People should be aware though, that the pictures shown on the ad are just from one apartment alone. There are actually 5 apartments / rooms in this house. And there lies the first problem. Even though we specifically asked for an apartment with a seperate bedroom and a washing machine (which was confirmed by the host before we arrived), we got shown an „apartment“ (more like a hotel room), which had just a bed, something you can barely call a kitchen and a bathroom without a washing machine. When we addressed the issue, we got shown another hotel room style „apartment“. At that point we were kinda annoyed about the situation. The issue got solved when they showed us the actual apartment, which was more expensive. Fair enough, but it could have been communicated clearer from the start. We didn’t understand why the host showed us the first two rooms, knowing that that was not what we wanted. That kind of false advertisement was very unprofessional in our opinion. Location was good though, quiet neighbourhood, parking.

The house rules were very misleading, saying we can’t use the stove. After asking the daughter (which checked us in btw), she didn’t know what that was about and told us, that we can use it. English is clearly an issue here, texts from the host were unclear and caused lots of avoidable problems. Things that were advertised like Netflix, an electric kettle where not to be found. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work at all. Wifi worked, was sometimes a bit patchy and slow though, especially with two different Wifis working better in different rooms. Two days into our stay, we got accused of using the washing machine non-stop, which was not true at all. We are travelling in our roof top tent and naturally we don’t have a washing machine in the car. We asked for the machine at the time of booking, which seemed like it was not a problem. It shouldn’t have been a surprise that we actually use it. We ran one machine a day, allowing the clothes to dry. On said day, the hot water stopped working and someone came to fix it straight away (which was good). The hot water situation is not great in general. There is barely enough water for two people to have a 3 minute shower after each other, so we had cold showers sometimes. The washing machine situation lead to hours of arguing through text messages, telling us that the apartment is not a laundry room. Also telling us that the apartment is actually 50€ per night, which we thought was a bit unnecessary to tell us, cause after all she gave us the apartment for that price and that was all the information we got out of it. It’s not our fault that it was actually more expensive. Advertise your rooms and apartments better and it wouldn’t have been a problem. If you confirm an apartment with a seperate bedroom and washing machine for a specific price, stand by it and don’t make us feel guilty for it in the end. From that time on we felt like the rest of the privacy was gone.
