Ranmoor è una villa vittoriana in parte splendidamente restaurata, parte del cottage situata all'interno dell'area protetta protetta di Matlock Bath ea cinque minuti a piedi da negozi, pub, ristoranti e caffè nel centro di Matlock Bath.
Il casolare gode di una posizione privilegiata, con viste spettacolari sul fiume Derwent e sulla valle verso Matlock.
Al piano superiore ci sono 3 camere da letto che possono ospitare fino a 6.
C'è una camera da letto matrimoniale di buone dimensioni con un bellissimo letto alla francese antico antico e armadio. Un'ulteriore camera da letto matrimoniale con un bellissimo letto antico alla francese e una terza camera da letto con letto a castello che sono letti singoli full size, tuttavia si consiglia di dormire nella cuccetta superiore solo piccoli adulti. Tutte le camere possono ospitare un lettino da viaggio.
Il bagno moderno ha una bella vasca autoportante con rubinetti e doccia indipendenti.
C'è un ulteriore bagno con doccia e servizi igienici.
La sala da pranzo della cucina ha un bellissimo antico bruciatore di tronchi e un originale pavimento piastrellato a scacchiera di cava. È completamente attrezzato con lavastoviglie, lavatrice, macchina da caffè e forno a microonde.
Il salone ha un sontuoso divano Chesterfield, TV 40 ”con Freesat.
Ci sono splendide viste sulla valle e sul fiume da questa stanza e dalla camera da letto principale.
La casa dispone di riscaldamento centralizzato a gas e internet wireless. Carburante, elettricità, asciugamani per la biancheria da letto e un cesto di avvio di tronchi sono inclusi nelle tariffe di noleggio. Sono inclusi 1 seggiolone, 1 lettino da viaggio (non biancheria da letto) e un baby monitor. Libri, giocattoli e una selezione di DVD sono disponibili per gli ospiti.
All'esterno c'è un bellissimo giardino soleggiato recintato e un cortile separato esterno con un tavolo e 6 posti a sedere. È previsto anche un barbecue. Ci sono alcuni passaggi per la proprietà, quindi non è adatto per gli ospiti che necessitano di accesso per disabili. I passaggi hanno corrimano per aiutare. C'è un parcheggio su strada per i veicoli al di fuori della proprietà, ma questo è in base all'ordine di arrivo.
Su richiesta è disponibile un deposito per biciclette in mattoni sicuro da utilizzare nel giardino vicino alla proprietà.
Ci sono bellissime passeggiate e gite in bicicletta dalla porta d'ingresso del cottage.

We loved our stay at Ranmoor! It was just the kind of accommodation we wanted for our family. It had everything we needed and was great for the kids. An easy walk into Matlock Bath and all its attractions but once back 'home' it was peaceful and tranquil. We loved sitting out in the beautiful garden looking out across the valley. The house itself had a lot of character and was very homely and comfortable. We found our hosts to be very helpful, especially when my grandson was ill at the beginning of our stay! Thanks for going out of your way to help us.
Ranmoor is a place we'd love to return to in the future. It is a delight!

What a glorious property! High-end furnishings, that are as cozy as they are classy, made this cottage feel like a European dream for us. The location is ideal for hiking in the Peak District as well as visiting sights like Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Comfortable beds with soft blankets, two bathrooms with plenty of hot water (and plenty of water pressure), a fully stocked kitchen, and the gardens...wow! Petra, the host, is extremally responsive, generous and kind which made the overall experience everything we could have hoped for. If your dates are available, don't hesitate to book this wonderful property!

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Ranmoor.
The property is perfectly situated for a short walk into Matlock Bath to take part in whatever activity you planned to do for the day.
There were 2 generous size double rooms that were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.
A smaller bunk room for children.
A generous bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs.
Plenty of comfortable seating in the living room to relax into with a glass of wine in the evening after spending the day walking in the hills, exploring lead mines and eating fish and chips.
The kitchen diner was well stocked and the cooker and dishwasher were easy enough to use.
Although the November weather wasn't ideal for really enjoying the garden we still loved to enjoy looking out at it in the mornings and the dog enjoyed exploring it too. It is a really good size, on different levels and, as long as your dog isn't one for jumping high, it is pretty much fully enclosed. We felt comfortable letting our boy off lead and loose in the garden but never unsupervised.
Parking was never an issue.
Great communication from Petra throughout.
We highly recommend a holiday in Ranmoor.

Some notes for Petra
a few things would have made it even better - eg toilet seat loose, nowhere to put soap/shampoo in the shower.
Would recommend that the gutter is fixed as the dripping is damaging the outside wall and windowsill.

We had a fantastic stay Petra was amazing in responding to any request! It was ideally located to numerous views that were breathtaking, travelled to Matlock via bus and had a wonderful day!
Can’t say enough about the cottage it suited our needs and more!

A lovely house with everything that you could want. Ideally located for eating and drinking in Matlock Bath and as a base for exploring the town's and countryside in the peaks and dales area.
Petra was a great host and communicated well with us. We also appreciated the welcome pack.

Had a wonderful week stay as a family of four. Comfortable house, lovely bedrooms and layout. Fantastic views from back windows and nice seating area at end of pretty garden. Location was just what we wanted - easy access to Peaks and attractions. Owner very helpful re information about local area and replied v quickly to any questions. We hope to return one day!

Great cottage, wonderful host
We stayed in Ranmoor for 3 nights. The cottage is beautifully presented and decorated. The views from the lounge and the large bedroom are absolutely stunning. Petra was an amazing host and even left us some fruit and cookkes as a welcome gift! We managed to find parking in the street outside the place so not an issue. Thanks Petra for a memorable stay!

This was an super choice for us it was a very clean and well fitted house in a lovely location. Ideal for long walks from the town itself without having to drive. Small town but very friendly in all shops and bars. Be prepared that when you going anywhere around the area it can be hilly but fun.

This was an super choice for us it was a very clean and well fitted house in a lovely location. Ideal for long walks from the town itself without having to drive. Small town but very friendly in all shops and bars. Be prepared that when you going anywhere around the area it can be hilly but fun.

Ranmoor is a fabulous home to stay in, very clean and everything you could wish for including a lovely welcome pack. My favourite thing to do was watch the sunrise from the lounge window with a cuppa before anyone else got up!

Lots to do within walking distance so nice not to need the car every day, walks along the river and hillside opposite into Matlock. The cable car up to the Heights of Abraham was worth doing and handy to walk back down to the house after. Plenty of equipment for cooking our own meals and James (2yrs) enjoyed the jigsaws, books and puzzles. Great garden space, bigger than I realised from pictures and we had no problem parking 2 cars. Excellent communication with the owner before and during our trip to ensure we had everything and could find the property. Very easy check in process. I have already recommended the place to family who may have guests wanting to stay in the area and would use it again myself.
