Location. The balcony upstairs is awesome. The bar is right there, you can sit and people watch knowing your room is only a few steps away.
It's an old Victorian style building, which is not the issue. The issue was we weren't warned that our bathroom was located across the hall from our room, which meant any late night visits to the bathroom meant finding the key, opening our door, walking across the hall, and unlocking that door... to repeat back across. Doesnt sound like much... but a warning would have been appreciated.

Celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary there. Outstanding staff. Great food. Wonderful location to walk around the town.
The ac unit was noisy at startup. Solved that by switching to just air only. Minor issue. Sorry about the photo of the wallpaper. It looked like the wallpaper in Willie Wonka! No, I didn't lick the wall!

The Weatherford is in the perfect place for walking around downtown Flagstaff. The staff were very kind.
I wouldn’t say I didn’t like this but it’s important to state the room and bed and bathroom are very small. We loved staying there though!

It was a " Historical experience" knowing how old the building is - I Love history!
At approx $200 a night I would expect to sleep soundly ... I had broken sleep on all 4 nights due to noise from others closing doors. TOO much light from the corridor shining into my room preventing me from sleeping - F.Y.I - block out covers made of dark paper would have been perfect to block out the light. The bed was so small I am wondering how I would have coped if my husband had accompanied me! The shower leaked so much I had to use a couple of towels to soak up the water (the importance being making sure I would not slip and fall). No TV which would have been nice or at least expected for the room rate I paid. How rude of you to mention on the receipt if I would leave a tip for the person (who is paid a minimum wage anyway to do their job) who would be cleaning my room when I DID NOT HAVE ANY ONE come clean my rom, make my bed and change my soaking towels ... hmmm what was the tip for did you say? I am a US citizen - some how my name shows "Malaysia" where I have lived ... so just to be sure my opinion is not a "difference in culture" issue!

Onsite parking was available, rooms were comfortable and the history around the place was amazing! Definitely a fitting end to our AZ trip.
Some of the equipment in room needed a bit of tlc, given the age of the property it makes sense. Tighten a few bolts and maybe replace the regulator on the shower temperature.

Had a lovely stay in this historical hotel. I stayed in room 41 and couldn’t hear any noise coming from the bars downstairs. I highly recommend to stay here.
Parking can be a little challenging. Overall, everything was wonderful.

Historic buildings always provide some concessions but the charm and the staff more than made up for it. basement bar called Gopher Hole was busy and fun with pool and ping pong and great bar staff.
Room lacks some of the things we’ve become accustomed to (large bathrooms and excessive spaces. this hotel reminded us that modern times have become soft and plush and excessive. we felt like we stepped back in time but for the good of it. not a dislike at all! we will come back!

Staff (front desk, Upstairs bartender, & last but not least the manager) superb attitudes. Extremely, extremely helpful. I was there to get married to my wife and she needed a different room, extended late checkout amongst other things. They accommodated without hesitation and without knowledge of our big day. We actually had a room at the monte vista as well. Which we’ve stayed at frequently. If we had explored our options sooner, We would never have stayed at the monte vista. (Fyi their staff has been horrible for years). AZ local approved!
The question “what didn’t we like?”. I hate the fact it took me years to stay at this awesome hotel. Could be a fluke of a great experience but our stress level was high and to not have had an issue, speaks volumes IMO.

Music, central location, charm, balcony and parking. Nice free coffee in the morning
No open area inside in the morning for food and coffee bar not open. Be a great add to stay if this were an option, especially in colder months

Location was good, staff was amazing!
There was a dirty towel from previous tenants hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The shower curtain is moldy or there is dried poop on the curtain. There is no curtain over the first story room bathroom where the shower is located, awkward!!!!

The staff was excellent. Quickly resolved an issue w/ the TV and the overnight front desk employee was extremely helpful in the middle of the night as I checked on the mtn bike on my bike rack. Overall, I was thrilled with the 2 nights at a wonderful, historic hotel!

Enjoyed good selection of restaurants, bars, music, historical hotel in the center of old-town Flagstaff. Friendly staff and people around town. Closeness to Observatory and Beautiful Historical Catholic Church. I would like to have taken more time to visit local establishments--which I will do during the next visit.
Minimal available hotel parking--with some parking spots only available during select hours.
