The house was beautiful - inside the property is every comfort we could have asked for plus had stunning views of the lake. The outside was awesome too and we floated all weekend with friends and had a blast. Thank you for everything!

What a wonderful week on the lake!! House was around 10 minutes from culver academies, so perfect for graduation activities! Owners were very responsive to questions, offer a wide variety of activities in the house and on the lake. Wonderful space for extended family to enjoy with us! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Pros: Beautiful backyard to enjoy the sunsets over the lake, updated and classy decor, big bunk room perfect for kids, basement equipped with a TV and bar perfect for hanging out, excellent communication with the owner.
Cons: Hot tub needs to be cleaned, tons of cobwebs and spiders inside the house, not enough silverware or saucepans to use for a big group.

The bunk bed room and the boat were our absolute highlight of the weekend. It was a wonderful home and we loved cooking and grilling out. It was so nice that they had kayaks and life jackets available, too. The owners were so nice and easy to work with. We appreciated the communication and the kind late check out. Thank you for a wonderful weekend at Bass Lake!

This property was everything pictured and more! The house is right on the water and has all the toys you could imagine to keep kids having fun all day long and then all the games inside for them to have a blast at night. Justin had a great binder prepared on how to use the electronics around the house and menus of every restaurant around the area. Check in process and communication right from the time of booking was excellent - always responded immediately and had everything ready to go well before our check in time. Would love to come back here year after year - highly recommend!

Such a lovely place for our family gathering this year.
Spacious house with four bedrooms (very comfortable beds) the loft was a fun sleeping place for the children. Open kitchen with a great view of the lake. Rented a boat the kiddos enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and bike riding. Down by the lake was a great place for playing games, enjoying meals, drinks, and s’mores over the fire pit at night. Communicating with the owners was easy with a quick response. Wonderful, fun week with my family.

Things that were in bad shape as follows:
bikes, hot tub(it worked but no extra clorine tabs),couches and uposltered furniture dated and stained.pool table is old and bumbers are shot.I could go on and on as the property is not very well maintained. All that being said we had a great family weekend and the beds,bedding were all as advertised.
I would recomend this property however not for the price we paid.

We had a large group in town to celebrate the life of our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and this was the perfect place for us to gather. It was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space, lots of outdoor space, close to everything and beautifully appointed. Highly recommend!!!

This house was beautiful and well equipped for our group of 14 including 8 kiddos ranging ages 6-16. We had everything we could possibly need and enjoying walking to local restaurants. Checkout process was easy. Openers were super responsive and helpful. We loved the hot tub and would have been happy to shock it ourselves with so many using it to keep it clean during our stay. The house had so much room that even with a large group there was always room for everyone to get quiet time if needed. The basement was great with the pool and ping pong table and the bar. Appreciated the ample fridge space. The bunk room was so fun for the kids. We'd love to return!

Beautiful, modern, spacious lake property. Easy driving distance from Chicago, Fort Wayne, Lafayette and Indianapolis. Plenty of family-friendly entertainment: hot tub, ping-pong, pool, fire pits and multiple televisions. Generous number of beverage refrigerators and lower-level bar. Gorgeous sunsets over the lake.

We had such a great time at this Sunset Lake property! The home was clean and well-stocked with most everything we needed. The highlights were the hot tub and all the outside “toys!” Everyone had something to help them enjoy Bass Lake and all that is has to offer!

Magnificent Sun Sets
The home is beautiful and the hosts are awesome. Me and my family had a relaxing week at this lake house retreat. The boat is big enough to handle all of us (12) for sun set cruises and was powerful enough to pull the kids on the tube.

Beautiful property! We had a wonderful time! I thought, however, the home could have been cleaner. There was a lot of dust, especially on the floors. The bed comforters had picked up a lot of that, perhaps when the beds had been made. The bathroom fans were full of dust. The dryer was full of towels and sheets when we arrived, so I folded those and placed them on the laundry room counter so we could wash the beach, bath, and kitchen towels we used. Kitchen appliances (coffee maker, toaster, microwave etc.) needed to be cleaned before use. Oven was dirty. The upholstery in the family room and kitchen was dirty. The metal plates that fit over the flames on the gas stove were missing...we found them in the dishwasher. All in all, we had a WONDERUL time! I just expected a little cleaner house,

Family retreat
We chose this beautiful lake house for our annual family retreat at it was wonderful! Plenty of space to gather and find quiet time away when needed. The kitchen had everything and more than we needed! Communication with the hosts was excellent! We only wish we were there during warmer weather so we could enjoy the outdoors as well. We had some older travelers and they found the floors and rugs a bit slippery and the beds hard to get in (super high) but otherwise had a lovely stay. Highly recommend for families and friends!

Pure Perfection
We had a wonderful weekend getaway with some friends and family and could not have found a better property! Not only did it meet everyone’s various requests, lakefront, hot tub, etc. (not as easy to find as you would think), but was better than we could have imagined.
The owners were accommodating and responsive, check-in and out were a breeze.
Kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. This is a huge plus for me as it’s rare to find when renting.
Perfect for larger groups as there is plenty of space for everyone to be together but also spread out and have their pick of activities to enjoy. From the kayaks and fishing on the lake to the pool table and fire pits; even the various spots to sit out and enjoy the beautiful lake views and sunsets from.
All of us said that we found our go-to getaway house and can not wait to return!
I could go on and on but just know this place can not be beaten! Do yourself a favor, book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Luxury and comfort
A beautiful home with everything you would need for a relaxing vacation. The sunsets over the lake were beautiful, watching from the hot tub. Lots of bird watching, we even saw an eagle! A quiet peaceful place with plenty of space for 8 adults. We had a wonderful time.

Amazing Property --- Even better hosts !!!
What can I say ? This place is amazing !!! Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, pontoon boat (optional), and the kids absolutely loved the lily pad in the shallow water. For little kids its perfect due the shallow water even past the dock. The kids bunk room is fantastic too, they loved it ! Tons of room for the whole family and we used everything the property has to offer.

The property was in great shape recently remodeled it looks wonderful. Also they have considered everything that you could possibly think of such as bikes strollers kayaks paddle boards. Also in reaching out to the owners as needed they were very responsive, would highly recommend this property.

Very Clean... Well Organized.....Owners were good as gold! Very easy to talk to ! The welcome book was helpful and should be read thoroughly. Our only issue was figuring out the light switches.. would be helpful if they were labeled

Extended Family Weekend
Our family got together after being immunized for a weekend away. The house is spacious and the view is amazing! The weather was too cold to enjoy any water sports but the hot tub was relaxing. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out and we had a great weekend! Thanks!

Everything really was perfect! Our party consisted of 7 people aged 3-74. When we arrived, the sun was setting over the lake and it was beautiful through the wall of windows and from the deck overlooking the lake. I could go on and on but with limited space I will summarize...House: gorgeous, well appointed, immaculateBeds: super comfortable! Bunk room is amazing for adults and kids. Bedrooms are good sized and well furnished.Kitchen: had everything we needed plus more. Drinking water has filtering system and very good taste. Huge pantry and refrigerator (plus extra refrigerator in the garage). Table seated us all comfortably.Living room: stunning views of the lake, huge couch and smart tv. I would have loved for the couch to look out over the lake but that’s just me.Bathrooms: plenty of huge, fluffy towels and other supplies. Showers were roomy but not drafty or cold. Hot water is immediate and plentiful.Basement: great space! Bedrooms have large windows, laundry room is bright and has folding space, bar area is well supplied, bathroom as mentioned above, pool/ping pong tables were a combination set and worked as expected. The living room space has another huge couch, fireplace, tv and separate heater.We loved all of the “perks” like kayaks, hot tub, bikes, swings under the deck (these were a favorite). The lake side fire pit was well used (we didn’t see roasting sticks for s’mores so bring your own). The weather was not conducive to being outside much while we were there but when it is I can imagine the outdoor kitchen and dock being lovely.There are five stairs to get into the main part of the house but once there, everything you need is on that floor. The 74 year old with us has trouble with stairs and did fine with these. There isn’t a bathroom in the bunk room but one right at the bottom of the stairs.On a side note, my mom left her credit card in the kitchen and only discovered it after we were home. I emailed Justin a little before midnight and he immediately replied that the cleaning service had found it and asked what I wanted to do. I add this because it shows the integrity of the owner and the people he hires to care for the house and that, all by itself, would have us returning. You will not be disappointed in this rental, from start to finish it is perfect!
