The home is in a beautiful setting. Near the beach with great views. However, it is also a health and safety hazard and I cannot recommend it to anyone in good conscience. It is filthy, infested with bugs and mold, poorly maintained with electrical and mechanical issues. It has not been adequately cleaned in a long time. It is truly a shame, but look elsewhere.

It was great to be able to have our family together under one amazing roof in a perfect location. Walk out the door and you’re on the short walkway to the beach.

The property was amazing! We had the best time at the ocean for a week. Host very responsive. Unbelievable from the cleanliness, set up of house, and location. The sun rises were gorgeous from the porch of while walking the beach. Worth the money and host was friendly and reasonable. Highly recommend!

Great house, steps away from beach that was never over crowded and clean. Plenty of space, wide open living area, great porch with water view. Owner was very accessible.

The location of this property is perfect. The functionality and layout of the house was great for all of the family members.

Our family of seven had more space than we needed! The lovely beach retreat and was only a block from the beach, and could be accessed without crossing a street. The view of the sunsets were gorgeous, the bathrooms were more than adequate, the bedrooms were plentiful and perfect for our big family. The huge kitchen was a chef’s fantasy. A week’s stay during high season in June was very spendy but was a fine time for 3 generations.

Right on the beach at East Beach / Ocean View Beach in Norfolk. Very, very Clean! Great for families. If we ever vacationed in Norfolk/VA Beach again, we would consider renting this home.

Three generations of our family stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding in Norfolk. The house was perfect for us! I agree with all the rave reviews I read. One thing no one seemed to mention is the beach in front of the house. It was PERFECT for the grandchildren ages 4 and 7. They safely played in the protected waters for hours! Parents, aunt and uncle, and grandparents were able to relax on the beautiful beach as the children played. The other thing not mentioned in any reviews was the FABULOUS Farmers' Market on Saturday right across the street. WONDERFUL house, PERFECT beach. FABULOUS Farmers' Market! What more could you want?

Had a great time in Norfolk!

Everything went well, we had a great time relaxing on the balcony and watching the water, boats and airplanes. Kids got so excited everytime a plane came in for landing. We really enjoyed our stay.

We’ve rented several vacation homes and this location has been one of our favorites. My main objective was to be able to sit on the deck or at the dinner table and have an unobstructed view of the water. Mission accomplished! The view is fantastic! The beach access is right out the front door so my kids didn’t have to cross a busy street. Watching the dolphins and sunsets made our week, and the activity on the water from commercial marine traffic or the navy kept everyone entertained. There are many great restaurants nearby as well. This home is adorably decorated with a beach theme & incredibly spacious inside and out! We had SUCH. A great week here. The only caveats are the noise from traffic at times and the public using the beach access. Absolutely NOT reasons to avoid staying here but I wish I’d brought some white noise with me a few mornings. Don’t hesitate to book this property. You will not be disappointed if you want true beachfront living.

Found this house for my family for a quick weekend of watching baseball at Old Dominion. Great choice for us instead of hotel rooms! Although a quick stay we enjoyed the house and location (view of the water was amazing). The house was clean and very large. Very well supplied with all you need. So nice having shampoo/soap in our bathrooms and we didn't need to bring for our short trip. The quick walk to the beach was perfect!!

The house is great for family trips and vacations, right long the beach and you have a great ocean view from the main floor! The photos in the posting seem to be for a variety of rentals, though the photos of this property are in the photo stream. We were checking in over a holiday, and did not receive check in instructions before our arrival and needed to call the property manager posted on the door (thankfully there was one) for getting into the house. The kitchen has plenty of silver ware and big bowls for serving chips

Our family of 10 stayed over the Labor Day week - had a fabulous time. Plenty of space for our 2 adult children and their families with 4 kids age 4 and under. The kitchen is big enough that most of the 6 adults could be in there at the same time - the island is huge. The location is great - easy walk to the beach. It was a bit rowdy and crowded Saturday & Sunday, but then most any beach probably was over the holiday. There is a high chair and a little kids table (stored in the downstairs closet) with 2 chairs. We brought 1 kid sized folding chair and it worked out perfectly putting that table next to the adult hightop table. Thanks for another great vacation Eric!

Met up with family, and so enjoyed the comfy home and amazing view of the bay, mere steps from the water. We will look forward to our next visit.

Great location with excellent views of the bay. Home is very spacious with a large kitchen and family room. There were a few challenges that we encountered when we first got there (broken microwave, broken exhaust fans, missing beach supply shed, overflowing trash from former renters) that we were not made aware of, but were able to address these issues with Eric pretty quickly. Overall, great experience and we would love to stay here again.

This Beach house was an amazing find! The house was just perfect in every way! Great open concept, adorable beach decor and amenities included with the home and the best location right at beach access and close walking distance to many of the areas best places to eat!! Some even showcased on the Food Networks show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!! Went with my sisters, mom and friends for a girls trip and can’t wait to go back with the rest of the family!

House was great! Communication with owner was great. There were a few things that needed repaired when we stayed. Beach access is amazing.

This house is AMAZING! Not only is the property absolutely gorgeous, but everything was cleaned to perfection and picture perfect. My family of 7 had a wonderful time enjoying the fantastic views and spacious rooms. And let’s not forget that a beautiful beach is just 38 steps away! This was my first time visiting Norfolk, and I couldn’t have stayed at a better property. The owner, Eric, is a true gentleman and did everything he could to make us as comfortable as possible. He was always available and super accommodating. I will definitely be returning and will be highly recommending this property to family and friends!

My family and I really enjoyed our vacation in Va. the house was very nice, clean and close to everything. The view from the house was wonderful, and it was so relaxing to just sit on the deck and look out over the bay. My parents enjoyed watching all the big ships coming and going while they on in deck. We were also very happy to spend some quality time with my daughter, who we hadn’t seen in a while since she moved down to Va. We did have some problems, but Eric responded in a good amount of time and somethings were able to be fixed. Thank you Eric.

Great location and beautiful property, lots of space for family and balcony was amazing. Few minor problems like microwave didn't work nor did any of the bathroom fans. I contacted property manager and he said he would tell maintenance however they never fixed it. The shed that stored all the beach stuff had been broken into and was unusable however all the beach toys were stored in the garage. Also there was a leak from one of the upstairs showers that dripped into the main floor bathroom fan - I was actually on the toilet and started getting dripped on :-). I let the property manager know as well. Again minor inconveniences and would def stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Eric's property. he was so helpful ahead of time and during check-in, and the home was better than described. the location cannot be beat with little kiddos - just steps to the beach. we'd DEFINITELY stay here again.

This rental made for a lovely family gathering. Home was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Our daughter captured stunning sunrise pictures from deck. Host was very easy to communicate with and helpful. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend.
