Yes, fully stocked with wood in off season for a crackling fire! Parking: The U-shaped driveway provides free parking for up to 4 mid-size cars. Amenities Galore: The completely stocked kitchen includes a refrigerator w/ ice-maker, separate dedicated ice-maker to fill coolers for the beach, gas double-oven cook top, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and all of the essential kitchen cooking dishware and utensils. Amenities include all of the little things we tend to forget when in our rush to reach the beach such as paper towels, trash bags, soap, toothbrushes, coffee cups, toilet paper, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, etc. Located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood, our 123 Carolina cottage has everything you'll want create those cherished and lasting memories with friends or family. This coastal home, completely renovated in 2013, is furnished with casual and cozy furniture for the best in vacation relaxation. Beautiful, refinished hardwood floors throughout, with 3 bedrooms, 7 dedicated beds, 2 bathrooms (one full, one half-bathroom). Plus, for convenience in getting the sand off, an outside shower, hose and front-load clothes washer and dryer to clean up! The outside screened porch is a perfect place to relax…if you listen carefully, you can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach! The outside deck surrounding the house with an outdoor hose makes it easy to clean off the beach sand. Or, you can use the outside shower, featuring direct, convenient access to/from the master bedroom. All of these compliment each of the amenities you'll want to make this your permanent vacation home! Don't forget, you can also cook out with the charcoal grill on the outside, backyard patio. If you love the beach and beach combing, 123 Carolina is a great spot to enjoy a secluded and relaxed beach vacation. In addition to a brief walk to the beach, you also have convenient access to Dewey & Rehoboth’s famous restaurants, boardwalk, activities and nightlife. The Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, Jolley Trolley for transportation, fine and casual dining, shops, fishing/crabbing, and shopping outlets, make your "home away from home" a “Beach Retreat” for creating special and memorable experiences. Rentals beginning second week in June through first week of September require full week rental, e.g., 7 night minimum stay. This property embodies the best that Dewey Beach has to offer - proximity to the best (and least crowded) stretch of Dewey Beach, central location in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, extremely responsive and helpful owners...the list goes on. Our family found every day to be a joy during our stay whether we were lounging and playing at the nearby beach, walking to Rehoboth Beach (25 minutes) or to the restaurants in Dewey (10 minutes), or relaxing in the comfortable amenities of the attractive home. It's also the perfect option for bringing along dogs - the neighborhood streets are a great place for short walks and the nearby beach and roads are very walkable. This property is highly recommended and we would definitely stay again for all of our return trips to Dewey Beach.

The Carolina Cottage is the perfect place to stay at the beach with your family! The overall house was clean and had many amenities. Brian and Beth take great care in this property and respond promptly. My family, two dogs, and I enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the short walk into town, and a great place to stay. It was very convenient for parking. We had 3 large vehicles and still had room to add another car if needed. This was great because there is not on street parking unless you pay for it. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off all of the sand from us before going inside. Plus the outdoor hose to rinse the dogs off was an added bonus. They had a shed stocked with pretty much any beach item you can thing of, my family and I called it Costco. LOL. There is only 1 full bathroom and 1 half bathroom (plus the outdoor shower), but if your family is close like mine it works. I appreciated the hardwood floors and updated washer/dryer and dishwasher. Although we didn’t use them, each room had a TV and closet. I appreciated the elevated beds to put our suitcases underneath. This place is definitely on our list for another summer vacation next year! Thanks again Brian and Beth!

Pack your swimsuit and a beach towel and you will be good to go. This property has everything; too many to list. From a fully stocked kitchen to beach chairs, everything was amazing. And the location was ideal. The location was wonderful. 2 short blocks to the breach. Walking on the beach and watching dolphins was my favorite activity. An easy bike ride to Rehoboth or a short walk to Dewey Beach if you are looking for hustle and bustle. Thanks.

A great place to stay. Extremely well-stocked, hosts were very communicative and accommodating. I would highly recommend. House was clean and the location was an easy walk down a quiet road to the beach. We loved the peaceful surroundings, which can be hard to find in this part of DE. We would definitely stay again.
A note to parents of small kids -- there is one large road to cross between house and beach, but there is a crosswalk. Accordingly, I would suggest children under a certain age be supervised when going from the beach to the house, or vice versa.
A second note: be sure to read the property description thoroughly. By a weird quirk in VRBO's website design, this is listed as having "3 bathrooms" on the VRBO quick summary. Later in the description this is clarified, but that topline had me confused upon arrival. There is a full bath and half bath indoors with an outdoor shower. Again, this is described accurately in the description, but I wanted to call it out for other guests who might gloss over this bit of nuance.

Dewey Beach Getaway Cottage
This home is in a perfect location as access to the beach is a very short walk away and you can also easily walk or bike to Rehoboth Beach. We love thst the house is dog friendly. The house is very thoughtfully supplied with many items not found in other homes, such as coffee for the Keurig. Our only quibble is that the online listing is confusing about whether there is cable or Direct TV service (there is not). There is a Direct TV dish right outside the front door, Direct TV remotes, and instructions in the house's information binder on how to use this service, but it didn't work. We reached out to Brian and he confirmed he no longer provides this service. He recommended we use the Chromecast device attached to the TV in the living room (not in the bedrooms) but we were never able to sync any of our devices. In this era of personal devices it may not matter but if you are planning to set up your kids with a movie be prepared. Brian did acknowledge that he needed to update the information about the TVs. In any event this is a very nice and convenient beach cottage for families or small groups and we enjoyed our stay.

Exceeded expectations in every regard
This cottage was exceptionally clean, convenient and full of unexpected amenities. The hosts are wonderful and communicative. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience here. I plan to definitely stay here again. The location is quiet and yet very close to the beach.

Great experience
We have been renting houses in Dewey every summer for the past five years. This cottage so far is the best we have ever stayed in!
I am so used to bring every little item with us every time we rent property, that I did not even bother to read description:) So I packed our entire home from soaps till trash bags and towels just to find out that EVERYTHING that you need is provided. House is extremely well kept and has everything that is needed and everything for “what if” scenario :). I really enjoyed cooking, kitchen has all great appliances and is very well stocked. Upon arrival we found cottage extremely clean and very well cared for. Brian and Beth are great hosts, Brian checked on us upon arrival and was very quick to respond to my questions. My most favorite area of the cottage was huge screened porch that we sat to watch movies every night. We will be glad to rent again!

This was one of our favorite beach houses!
We had a wonderful week at Brian and Beth’s home last week. The house is well maintained and totally stocked with everything you could ever need. The hosts have thought of everything, and they were very easy to contact and responded very quickly. We particularly loved the screened porch and the wooded yard. The bikes and beach buggy were also a great added perk! We’ve stayed at many beach homes in the past and we all agreed this was the nicest and the most well kept. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

Family getaway, offseason trip to beach
Perfect in every way — great location (quiet neighborhood, close to beach) and only a few minutes from Rehoboth Ave., house was spotlessly clean upon arrival, very comfortable beds, coffee was provided which made wife and I very happy, appreciated the Directv and other amenities provided, enjoyed my morning jogs, walking our golden retriever...
Our toddler loved the house so much he said he wants to live there permanently 😁�.
Wonderful restaurants in the area — highly recommend: Egg, Greenman Juice Bar, Fins, Indigo, Henlopen Oyster, Zoggs, Blue Moon, Mariachi’s...
Owners are responsive and friendly, will definitely be returning soon!

Dewey in October
123 Carolina Street was perfect for our trip to the beach. The cottage was cozy and clean and welcoming. Loved the screened in porch for morning coffee, an afternoon nap or an evening cocktail. The neighborhood was quiet and a short walk to the dog friendly beach. Oh and how can I forget the fireplace..just the best.
Beth and Brian were on point communicating what we needed to know before arrival and then the day of. This cottage is a keeper.

Perfect get-away!
We were looking for a pet friendly retreat close to the beach. We found it here.. A five minute walk to see the sunrise. A quiet neighborhood ...there were more dogwalkers than cars! The place was spotless. We required no additional assistance from the owners during our stay.

Fabulous Cottage!
Very charming home and great location between Dewey and Rehoboth. The cottage is very well cared for and left nothing to be desired. If there was anything forgotten they had it there for you to use and you are encouraged to do so. The screened in porch is always a favorite spot for us to all hang out together. Having central air was a huge bonus! The bedrooms are all nicely done and the master bed is very comfy. Lots of space in the living room with plenty of seating for all. It was great to have a laundry room too. Really nice kitchen with cabinets left available to use During your stay. Loved having an enclosed outside shower! Honestly at the beach it’s a must! We so appreciated that there were beach chairs and coolers for our use and the great beach wagon to haul things down to the beach. From the time we booked our trip last year till when we got home a few days ago the owners were always available and very kind to help with questions that came up. We would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to coming back!

"5+ Stars" Beach Cottage Oasis
This lovely beach house is more than just cozy, it is a wonderful getaway. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.
The house is nestled perfectly in a spot that is walking distance to the beach, a short 1.5 block walk to Fifers (delicious caramel apple pie and fresh produce), 5 minute walk to Dewey Beach restaurants/shops, and 1-mile walk to the Rehobeth boardwalk. We walked to all of these places with a 2 small kids sitting in a wagon - they loved it!
The house itself is a lot larger than the pictures give it credit: we had 2 adults, 2 small children, 2 grandmas and 2 dogs. There was more than enough space and no one felt crowded. I was initially a little nervous about only having 1 full bathroom, but the outside shower off the master bedroom is full-sized and enclosed.
Beth and Brian have thoughtfully provided items throughout the entire house: paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, plastic zip lock bags, paper plates, cups, Keurig coffee, etc! There was a full size washing and drying machine. The best feature was the beautifully screened in porch. We spent a lot of time relaxing having morning coffee and breakfast or kids playing in the enclosed space.
This was a great place to stay and we hope to come back the following year. Thank you Beth and Brian!

UNBELIEVABLE BEACH COTTAGE
We just returned home from our week away in Rehoboth. The trip would not have been the same without this amazing beach rental. The hosts could not have been more accommodating, the location is beyond ideal (1 quick stop on Jolly Trolley to Rehoboth boardwalk, 35 min from DE Turf where our daughter played lacrosse all week, 2 very short blocks to the ocean), the neighbors were wonderful, the beach spectacular and dog friendly!!!, ... what else can we say! We plan to make this our 'go to' the next time we find ourselves in this area. Thank you for such an amazing time!
