Cleanliness. The kitchen, bathrooms, and living areas were very clean. I didn't notice any dust, bugs, or stains. The outside decks were clean. There were no loose screws or boards. The furniture was in good shape, no loose threads, or random hairs. The hot tub was crystal clear.
Rooms. The room sizes and living spaces were good sized. We didn't feel cramped at all. Even the room with the double bunk beds was a comfortable size.
View. The elevated home had great views of the mountains. The pictures on the website are TRUE and reflect the panoramic sights from the house.
Concerns about the Drive Up the Hill. Admittedly, driving up the steep ascent to the home was a bit harrowing. However, we had no problems using our 2012 6-cylinder Toyota Sienna with 4 adults, 2 kids, and our luggage.
Location. The home is 15 minutes away from Luray Caverns and 20 to 30 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. It is very convenient for a weekend getaway.

My family and I loved this house and the nature surrounding it! Beds were comfy (including the pull out sofa beds, and I’m a harsh critic). Everything was clean and well stocked, loved the cornhole and horseshoes and all of the outdoor deck space! The pond was a bit of a dud and so buggy that the area around it was pretty much unusable, but that was okay. Wish the grill had worked, but otherwise loved the space, the closeness to Luray and outdoor activities, and the view from the house was stunning. Would recommend!

The house was well stocked and clean. It had everything but food. The views were spectacular! Our family of seven had a fabulous time here and would stay here again when in the area.

Stayed here for my daughter’s commencement weekend. A few family members and friends joined us. Perfect location and wonderful way to celebrate an incredible accomplishment!
The ride there is also part of the experience!! Go slow and trust your GPS!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views are unparalleled, and the house was exactly as described. We would stay here again. However, I would recommend that the owners upgrade their linens - the sheets on the King beds were too small, and there were no extra blankets for chilly nights. Our minivan made it up the hill, but we didn't realize that the unpaved road was about 2 miles long, so be warned. Definitely worth it for the views and solitude though!

Shenandoah Manor is a beautiful house with a great view. Even the landscaping was immaculate. It easily, and most importantly, comfortably, can accommodate several adults and children. Even the four bunk beds are sturdy with thick, plush, mattresses that an adult could use (if they are not too tall). Used the hot tube as much as was feasible in late June in Virginia (kinda hot 😉).
I hosted a get together with family coming from places as far as New Hampshire and Florida. All said they thought the Manor was great and enjoyed our time. The kids got to roast marshmallows over the fire pit. Unfortunately, the Canadian wildfires caused our view of the Shenandoah valley to be obscured (clearly not the fault of the accommodations). The drive up can be a little bit of a white-knuckle affair if you are not used to steep, unpaved, roads, although my wife was able to driver her tiny two-seat Miata up and down the hill. But the drive up is well worth the great view and solitude!

We had a fantastic 5 days exploring and hiking the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington Forest. The house was very comfortable and such attention to detail!

Our favorite part was waking up and seeing the sun rise above the clouds. Absolutely gorgeous views and a clean home. The only unideal part is the drive up to mountain to get there, but the views are well worth it! Would love to stay there again.

This is our second time renting this property and I’m sure we will be back. There are plenty of rooms and beds as well as a gorgeous outdoor space. It’s so excellent to have a kitchen and game room as well as laundry when you’re staying up on a mountain.

Everything was absolutely perfect from arrival to departure. The house is roomy, the area is secluded and peaceful. And delivery services are available. Beautiful view.

Great views, close to two grocery stores, and lots of activities to do on the property. You'll definitely want a vehicle with 4-wheel drive to get up to the property - the gravel roadway is a bit tough without it.

This house is beautiful and very well-appointed, with great amenities and gorgeous views. I absolutely loved staying here and hope to rent it again in the future. My eight-year-old daughter didn't want to leave!

Property is located in an amazing location overlooking Luray. During our stay, we had a random issue with the microwave tripping a breaker, however, the property manager was incredibly friendly, quick to respond, and brought us a new microwave to use the following day. She also had someone come out and tidy up the hot tub for us. The outdoor activities (horse shoes and corn hole), and incredible view made us not want to leave the property during our stay!

The view is incredible. We stayed two nights here. Enjoying each other’s company, good food, the fire pit, and horseshoes. The driveway up is steep but manageable. Once you get to the house, it’s worth the drive.

Wonderful
Great house. Great views. Comfortable beds. Clean. Hard to drive to if you don’t have an SUV. Gravel roads about 15 mins to the house off the main roads. Scary to drive if you don’t have an SUV. Other than that, everything was perfect!!

Gorgeous location in the woods
This stay was beautiful and so lovely. The weather was not great but the location and home were so wonderful it didn’t even matter. I will say that while this place advertises as sleeping 14, two of the sleeping options were pullout couches that have seen better days. So I wouldn’t rely on them for the best nights sleep for adults. But the stay was totally worth it and I’d definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. The house was very clean and exactly as described. Warnings to potential renters would be that the kitchen does not have much cabinet space for food, but we made due. Also, all-wheel drive really is a must. Our SUV made it up the access road, but our Mazda 3 was not so lucky and had a bit of a scary slide backwards down the hill. Overall we loved the house and will hopefully return!

The Shenandoah Manor was the PERFECT place for our family to stay during our weekend get-away. The home is GORGEOUS and the porches/balconies are perfect for admiring the FABULOUS views. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the frogs in the pond :) Do be aware that the trek up the mountain is a gravel road (steep at times), but it wasn't anything our 4WD pickup trucks couldn't handle. If you are traveling in a sedan, it's doable, but it will be a pretty bumpy ride. We choose prepare all meals at the home, which was easy thanks to the FULLY STOCKED kitchen. Thank you so much for hosting our family. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our return sometime soon!

This is the second time renting with Shenandoah Rentals, and both times the cabins were awesome. Starting from the reservation, instructions to access cabin, tips, cabin setup, aminities and the checkout process were all smooth. We enjoyed our stay without any issues and will come back again to Shenandoah Rentals without a thought.

It would be impossible to beat the location of Shenandoah Manor. At the top of the mountain with no neighbors behind the property it is a great getaway. We utilized the fire pit and hot tub throughout our stay. Great communication from property management and the property comes as advertised. There were some lady bugs indoors and seem to be attracted to the home. Overall, amazing mountain getaway with friends and family.

Property was clean and spacious. Hot tub was perfect with the view. Alot of local restaurants with great food and people. Be prepared to have a DD if you go out as it being a small area we were lucky to find an uber but that is not a knock on the property whatsoever. I would go back to that property 10/10 times any time of the year.

The view from the porch was absolutely stunning. The house was great. Very clean, everything worked without an issue. It was a very lovely stay. Most of us live in a city setting, so getting out into a nature setting was really great. It was the type of relaxation we all needed to recharge our busy batteries.
One quick nature tip - don't forget to bring some sort of bug spray or candle. It's no surprise that when sitting on a porch, overlooking Lurray, you're bound to get a few bug bites. Nothing bad or alarming, but it can get itchy. Be smart, put on that bug spray.
It was a fantastic weekend. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Our entire party was thrilled with our stay at this beautiful cabin. We have several type A/neat-freaks in our group and the cleanliness exceeded all our expectations. Beyond being a clean and beautiful cabin, it had the most breathtaking view. The photos do not do it justice and must be seen in person. It is also set up nicely for multiple families to enjoy together with all the different bedrooms and full bathrooms. Our families will definitely be returning for another stay (perhaps in the fall to enjoy it all in the midst of the beautiful fall foliage Shenandoah has to offer). One tip for future visitors is to heed the warning regarding four wheel drive. Traveling Mid-March we didn't have to use four wheel drive, but the gravel road leading up to the property (driveway is paved) is quite steep and a little bumpy, so keep that in mind. The slow and steady climb up is well worth it though! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The view is spectacular. The sun rise and sun sets are beautiful. The house is clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The bedrooms are very large, lots of room for an air mattress or pack and play if needed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and the hot tub as well. For a relaxing time, this is the house. Our stay was enjoyable and would definitely go back. We went tubing nearby and that was also fun. Other than the tubing we stayed at the house because it was perfect.

My group had a great time staying at Shenandoah Manor! Getting into the house was very easy and the activities that the house had to offer were great. We spent a lot of our time outside playing corn hole/horseshoes and relaxing on the deck and patio area. We were close to a number of good hikes in the Shenandoah National Forest that we took advantage of. There was plenty of room to park several cars at the house. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this house for anyone.

Worth every penny
After looking online for a clean cabin with an amazing view this is the best I could find. And let me say, it did not disappoint. This beautiful home has a space for everybody. We had my surprise engagement celebration here with family and friends. Everyone had such a good time and we sat on the porch for hours just talking and gazing at the view. I 100% recommend this place to anyone. Management was more than happy to help with my requests and questions. Book now!

Beautiful Cabin with Amazing View
We had a great time relaxing in Shenandoah Manor enjoying the beautiful panorama of the valley below and the mountains in Shenandoah National Park. In the evening, one could even see Skyland Lodge’s lights. The cabin included all of the amenities we needed. Everything was fairly new and clean. It was nicely decorated providing an upscale cabin atmosphere which included framed maps of the national park. In addition, the outside was nicely landscaped. Rhododendrons were in bloom along the back side of the cabin. There were a few dead lady bugs as one review mentioned but after all while large it is still cabin near the outdoors. Overall, it was much better than most of the cabins we have stayed in near Luray. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning views - you will not be disappointed
Our stay at Shenandoah Manor was incredible. The photos do not do justice to the amazing view. Every time I walked outside I was shocked. There was plenty of space for a group of eight. The decks had wrap around views and the hot tub was a nice touch. We went on a beautiful nearby hike and a couple of wineries. Great location for vintage and antique furniture shopping also.
Well stocked kitchen and nice dining table for a group dinner.
Overall excellent stay. Not a single complaint.

Stunning view
Pictures do not do the view justice, it’s like being at the top of a ski slope. House itself is solid and has a great wrap around porch.
Property Is on a hill so some of the areas hard to access. Great wrap around porch.
We went in summer and slope to drive to property was quite steep. 100% need 4wd in winter.

Amazing Stay! This is a beautiful getaway that feels so remote, but isnt!
This was a great stay. It felt so clean and remote, but had amazing internet and connectivity. The air was so clean and the views were amazing. The place had so much light and views across the entire valley.

Cannot beat the view
This mountain house was the perfect weekend away, kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was super clean besides the ladybugs & stink bugs, but that’s understandable being in the woods, we just kept vacuuming them up. The road to the house was dicey in the snow, during winter don’t ignore that note in the listing about requiring a 4wd even if snow isn’t forecasted. The hot tub was great, and the views were just amazing. Excited to come back and see how pretty it is in summer & fall. Great place.

Family Getaway
This place was simply amazing. The house was clean and views were beautiful. My family enjoyed the coziness and comfort of Shenandoah Manor. I will definitely stay here again.
