Moonshine is a Seaside, Florida family favorite cottage with a prime location just 377 feet to the beach access and only a 2 minute walk to downtown Seaside, Florida with over 35 shops and restaurants within walking distance. The town is complete with a gourmet grocery stored within walking distance. Moonshine is a welcoming four story home with two porches and an amazing fourth floor glass enclosed tower with an obversvation deck with amazing gulf views and sunsets to be shared.
On arrival there is a private driveway for one car with off street parking. There is a generous screened in porch at the front that welcomes you with outdoor dining on a large picnic table and adjacent rockers for four, a perfect morning coffee hang out spot. Step inside to the open combined living on the first floor. To the right is the living room with two sofas and two chairs with ample seating for all and a large flat screen TV perfect for family movie nights in. There is an adjacent dining area that comfortably seats all eight. The updated kitchen is directly across from the dining area and features a breakfast bar to accommodate three more. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and a large sub zero fridge, everything you need to prepare meals at home or for a longer vacation. There is also a full bathroom on this level with a shower only.
The second floor features three bedrooms keeping everyone connected and is a perfect set up for young families. The first is a king primary bedroom with it's own TV, built in dresser, private bathroom, and shared access to an open air balcony with two rockers. The updated private bathroom has a single vanity and a large glass enclosed walk in shower. The second adjacent bedroom has a queen, its own flat screen TV, shared balcony access and an ensuite bathroom. The queen private bath has a single vanity with a tub/shower combo. The third bedroom has two twins, is own TV, and an ensuite bathroom with a single vanity and a tub/shower combo.
There is a third floor with a bonus bunk area to sleep two more with a dresser. There are ship ladder steps that access the favorite space of this home, the fourth floor glass enclosed tower lounge area and the open air observation deck. The enclosed tower is surrounded by windows with stunning gulf views and sunsets with seating for four. There are double doors that open onto the observation deck that has bar seating for four with the most incredible 360 degree panoramic Seaside town and gulf views. Home's location is great and as advertised. But the home itself needs work. My daughters were awoken one morning with water from the storm outside pouring into the bunk room onto their beds (management company came over quickly to help with towels but we had to leave buckets in place to catch water that morning). The downstairs is dated as are the bedrooms--Master bath is newer but master bedroom in need of remodel (though bed was comfy). Furnishings were pretty old and drawers could be tough to get open and closed. House overall fine because you are not in it that much but really needs serious investment and remodeling--looks like has not been touched (outside of master bath) since 90's. Internet also a bit unpredictable. However, management company was truly professional as always. Street was quiet and home close to beach and pool. I'd recommend for the location but need to have eyes open about property's condition.

We rented Moonshine for our honeymoon and it was perfect! The tower up top was the perfect place to end each day with a good book and a glass of wine, especially when rain rolls in! If you have trouble with stairs, I wouldn’t suggest this property, as the bedrooms are on the second floor and higher. The stairs to the very top of the property are also pretty steep. All in all, it was the perfect place to enjoy a week of relaxation!

The cottage was comfortable for our family. Our main concern was that the chairs and couch in the living room were very uncomfortable and the king bed mattress is past its useful life. Other than those issues everyone liked “Moonshine” and Seaside.

The house was really pretty, comfortable and in good shape, clean and well stocked, and excellent location very near the beach but off the main road. It was quite comfortable for two adults a tween and 18. Renting bikes was easy and homeowners even stocked the fridge for us before we came. We played tennis, went to the pool, biked and shopped and overall really enjoyed Seaside. The kids had total freedom of movement and we never needed the car we had rented. Sunset drinks on the top roof deck and breakfast on the screened in porch were delightful.

Moonshine was a lovely home located a few blocks from the square, a block from the family pool and a hop from the beach. As with most Seaside locations, the decor is dated, but that is part of the charm. Be warned that one of the rooms is really just an open space loft with bunks, which may be an issue with different sleep schedules. The bedding and bathrooms were very comfortable. Be aware that if you have any crawlers in your family, their clothes will show the dirt very quickly. Also, the second floor laundry sounds like it is coming through the ceiling, so be sure to run it while you are away. We loved the cupola and the screened in porch. Funny that you don't have access to ANY condiments or spices, but knowing that beforehand should help you plan. No significant issues with the property. Great service from the Homeowners Collection for our spur of the moment vacation.

The house was nice but not cleaned very good prior to our stay the white couches where pretty stained up also...besides that the only complaint I have was that the beds are not comfortable at all and the house would get up to 76 during the day with the air on 70! Maybe the house needs another unit or a bigger one!

House was well located and equipped. Local agents were quickly responsive to a minor issue with the house. Beach access is great and the walk-ability and bike friendly nature of Seaside and the nearby towns makes a car unnecessary once you arrive on site. Thanks for sharing the house.
