Cute, clean, and well stocked cabin! Great location for accessing Many Glacier and Waterton! The hosts provided detailed directions and instructions for getting there, as mentioned in other reviews, the road is very rough! Also, if you prefer a firm bed, the beds are quite soft. are

The cabin is extremely well-stocked and very close to the east side of the park. Clean and enjoyable interior. The mattresses are the best.

This property has everything - easy access to Many Glacier and Two Medicine, picturesque views of Duck Lake, and a well appointed cabin with plenty of space to hang out. I highly recommend this property and Val was super easy to work with.

We have never been out west and we are hooked! Kids want to move out here now 😊 This place was perfect for our family! The kids loved swimming in the lake every day after hiking in Glacier. The place was clean, and plenty of room for our family of 6. The location is perfect for accessing Many Glacier, St. Mary and even heading up to Waterton. Val and Shane were wonderful hosts and geeat to work with. Highly recommend and would rent again!

This cabin worked perfectly for our family of four which includes two teenage boys. The setting was lovely and the location was ideally situated between the St. Mary’s Entrance and the Many Glacier Entrance to Glacier NP. Definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed our well-provisioned modern cabin on Duck Lake! It was quiet and had a great view of the lake, and best of all, was perfectly situated to visit Glacier NP from the East side. Our hosts were very informative and helpful when we had questions. We’d definitely go back again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property; the cottage was very clean, well-stocked, well organized and very comfortable. Being right on Duck Lake was a big bonus. The area was quiet and very conducive to just relaxing after a day of hiking in GNP (which is mere minutes away). The camp roads are a bit rough, but really not a problem at all - just slow things down and enjoy the ride in this beautiful area. If you're trying to decide on a place in this part of the GNP area, don't bother looking any further, just go with this property - you won't regret it.

This adorable cabin was perfect for our visit! It was clean, very well stocked and quite comfortable. It’s very convenient to Glacier National Park which was the reason for our stay. Very peaceful setting to enjoy the beauty of the lake. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much, in spite of the bumpy road to the cabin, which other reviewers mentioned. We really wanted to stay on the east side of the park, and Duck Lake Cabin was perfect! Val is a great host—friendly, quick to respond to questions, and extremely helpful! We recommend highly!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Looking out over the lake was great. And a great way to start the day. The cabin was clean and the area was quiet. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Valerie the owner was kind and helpful with any questions we had about staying in the area. If we return to glacier we will would love to stay again. Positive experience all the way around.

We really enjoyed this peaceful cabin right on the shore of Duck Lake. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and be comfortable. The cabin is well-maintained and very clean. Honestly, the listing photos don't do it justice. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows for all of us to use. While there wasn't laundry available in the cabin, it was easy enough for us to run a few loads at Johnson's RV Park in St Mary.
There aren't a ton of food options nearby, but the full kitchen - and available oil, vinegar, and spices - made it easy to whip up meals after busy days in the park. I had everything I needed to cook, grill, and even bake. The grocery options nearby are pretty sparse and do the trick if you forgot something, so plan to pack your groceries in Browning, Kalispell, or another major town on your route to Duck Lake.
As others have mentioned, the road is gravel and rough in some spots. We were not surprised at the road's condition based on these comments and our Outback handled it without issue.
Let's talk about proximity... this location is perfect for exploring the east side of Glacier National Park. St Mary is just over 10 minutes away, plus Two Medicine and Many Glacier are less than an hour away. We failed to bring proper documents for the border, but Waterton Lakes is also super close to this cabin. It made it easier on all of us to not have to wake up crazy early to make the drive from the west side to see all the east side sights.

A really nice retreat to stay at! Clean, nicely decorated and great views of the lake and mountains.

Amazing location on a beautiful lake. The cabin was just what we were looking for with close proximity to both the Many Glacier and St Mary’s entrances. The cabin was clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and it had easily the best stocked kitchen we have ever rented. Having other items available like bear spray and binoculars was a huge plus.
The only negative, and it isn’t the fault of the owner’s, is that the road in from both directions is extremely rough. By no means is it the end of the world, but make sure to give yourself some extra time if you have time commitments in or around the park.
We definitely hope to stay here again if/when we return to Glacier.

We loved our stay on Duck Lake. Location was perfect for access to everything in the east side of Glacier. Many Glacier was less than 30 minutes and Logan Pass was easily under an hour. Went to Waterton Lakes in Canada one day and it was also under an hour. House was just right for our family. Loved the lake views. Kitchen very well stocked, great bbq pit and area to hang out non the deck. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This cabin was the perfect place for our family of 5 on our first visit to Montana. Everything is new and clean and modern, yet still has the cozy cabin feel. The lakefront is beautiful, it's 15 minutes from the best two entrances of GNP, it's close to Waterton Lakes NP in Canada (totally worth a day visit BTW!) and it has the most amenities of any VRBO we've stayed in. Val is so organized and has thought of everything! There's even a land-line for making calls if the cell service isn't cooperating. The gravel road to get there had a few bumps, but nothing the minivan couldn't handle :) I may have missed having a washer/dryer if we had stayed longer, but didn't need it on this trip. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and if we ever get back to Montana, this is where we're staying for sure! Thank You Val for sharing your wonderful home.

Our family of 4 adored this little cabin on Duck Lake. It was remote enough to give you a true middle of nowhere Montana experience, yet it was very convenient to St. Mary’s entrance in east Glacier & the Many Glacier entrance. It was a bonus to realize how close we were to Watertown Lakes, Canada & we took advantage of that too. The cabin was very clean & stocked with a ton of extras that you would not get staying in a hotel or lodge. We even used the bag blanket & extra folding chairs to go stargazing at the St. Mary’s visitor center. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a cozy, quiet home away from home on your Montana vacation!

Great place to stay! Great location when visiting Many Glacier and St Mary area of GNP. House was very clean and tidy! Many great and unexpected amenities. The kitchen was complete with everything we needed! The host thought of the little things to make our stay comfortable and worry free. Games, books and movies were also provided for our enjoyment. Access to the lake, with beautiful sunsets! Loved our home away from home! Very friendly neighbors. Would definitely recommend! Hopefully we’ll be back again sometime!

A beautiful home steps away from Duck Lake! Val was so helpful and communicated so quickly. We were so happy and surprised to be accommodated with things you need but hate to by (cooking spices, outdoor sprays, etc.) Not sure if these were left over from previous guests, but it was so helpful!! This space provided us with a relaxing place to land a quick, easy drive to Glacier National Park. Take it easy coming in the driveway, but it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be! 10/10 would stay here again if we were in the area! Thanks, Val!

The communication was wonderful, everything we needed to plan the trip. The place is well maintained and fully stocked. Really full stocked, for cooking, all the little items you don’t want to buy for a short trip. Everything was labeled, including coffee, snacks and a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended and a great location to visit the east side entrances

I can’t recommend this property highly enough! It was one of the highlights of our trip out to Glacier National Park. The owner Val makes communication incredibly easy and promptly replies to any questions you may have. Val provides many items for you and the bear spray was very much appreciated. The wireless internet and satellite tv worked great. It is obvious that the house is very well maintained as it was spotless when we arrived. The location on Duck Lake is absolutely beautiful and is perfectly situated for entering the Many Glacier and Saint Mary entrances to the park. Thank you for being such an incredible host Val!

This cabin is perfectly located for the Many Glacier and St Mary entrances to GNP. The cabin was beautifully remodeled, very comfortable, very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. The only negative is the very poor condition of the gravel road to the house, the pot holes may damage a rental car - realizing this is beyond the control of the owner. The free roaming cattle in the neighborhood are interesting, we often had cows pass right by the windows. Views from Duck Lake were amazing.

Great scenery! Cattle were there to greet us.
The inside was a beautiful cabin. We were very relaxed and the kitchen was great! Very clean!

My wife and I really enjoyed this property. This was our final three-day stay on a two-week Glacier trip. As others have mentioned, the access road is ROUGH, but the destination is worth it. The interior of this cozy home has a great cabin-at-the-lake feel to it. The place is well-stocked with everything we needed. One day, we were surprised by the visit of three free-range cows! Views were not as nice as they could have been due to the wildfire smoke, but we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Owners were very communicative and helpful as well. Val is great, and thanks for the wine!

Property was absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. We spent our days in the park and our evenings enjoying the view from the deck, relaxing on the beach and kayaking on the lake. House was stocked well beyond expectations. Would love to return!

Comfortable, well stocked cabin with everything we needed. Beautiful view of lake sunset with mountains behind. A bit remote on a bumpy road, but good location for accessing the east side of Glacier National Park.

I was really looking for a nice place to stay that was close enough to Glacier National Park so that we wouldn't be crowded and this was definitely it. It was very quiet and peaceful and SOOO close to the prime GNP entrances. The house was very well stocked with almost everything you would need. And not just a small amount, there were Costco-sized supplies.
The road was a little bit rough but once at the house, it was very peaceful.

Lake cabin was fantastic. Clean, well equipped and great location for 3 days of hiking in Many Glacier area. As a bonus, we saw the Northern Lights. Highly recommend the property.

The only concern was the condition of the gravel road to the property. Full of pot holes.

Excellent location for a trip to the east side of GNP! Home was nicely renovated, spacious, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a great stay! After a long day of hiking, there is lots of room to relax either inside or outside on the deck overlooking Duck Lake! Road leading to the home is quite rough but if you take it slow, it is fine. With a short ride to Many Glacier and about 1 hr. from Two Medicine, it is a great place to stay while visiting GNP!

The Duck Lake house was perfect for our stay while visiting Glacier. It is located close to the east entrances of the park making it very convenient for our hiking every morning. Everything was clean and comfortable with a kitchen that had all that we needed to cook our meals. Sitting on the deck after a long day in the park was very nice. Val was great at answering any of our questions that we had. We would definitely recommend this property and will book in the future as well!

My family and I stayed at this rental July 20-July 23, 2022. The house appeared to be newly renovated and is beautifully decorated. It is located directly on Duck Lake with amazing views of Chief Mountain. It is just a few minutes drive to Many Glacier and the East entrance of Glacier National Park. Prices for gas, food and supplies are more costly on the East side of the park versus the West side but the area is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend Rising Sun pizza when looking for a place to eat. Great customer service and the food is amazing. Twin Sisters Cafe is also really great! If I ever travel back to the area, I would definitely book this rental again. The owner was easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. We so enjoyed our stay at Duck Lake!
