À la réception de la chambre,le réceptionniste me dit que les chambres avec ventilateur n’avait pas d’eau chaude,et si je voulais eaux chaude il me fallait ajouter 10 Dollars.Je pense que Booking.com devrait éclaircir ce genre de situation.Ca gâché un peut mon séjour

Good location, comfy beds, value for money

Provided transport from bus and also booked day trips, helped with bags and was a comfortable bed with good working air con, good location by the markets.

Was a bit noisy, sounded like building work at 7am. The shower was cold and there was lots of hair in the drain of the shower, so unsure how clean the bathroom was.

L'accoglienza e la gentilezza delle Persone molto umili. Qualità prezzo. La vicinanza al Centro. Si poteva organizzare i tour col Tuk tuk direttamente con Rouen che è una persona fantastica. siamo stati con lui in giro per tre giorni. lo consiglio vivamente. Ritornerò se vado ancora a Battambang.

Was ok, but better options in town.

The property was quite well located. The rooms are spacious enough for one person. Price was ok.

The room had no toiletries. Had to ask for a towel (but i guess they had just forgotten to put one in my room). Did not provide water in my room. Other guests do not care about you if you sleep: They will shout, sing and make noise VERY early in the morning; which is very unpleasant.

Bon emplacement, il faut se contenter de cet avantage pour cette étape

Le rapport qualité prix au mois d’août : très intéressant. La situation : près du marché central et des restaurants.

Le bâtiment est très quelconque à l’extérieur et l’intérieur n’est pas spécialement joli non plus. Le toit terrasse comporte un jacuzzi mais il est sinon complètement abandonné, sans soin ni entretien

Pas de restaurant malgré l’annonce. Odeur nauséabonde dans une des chambres. Ménage incomplet dans cette même chambre.

Fantastische gastheer, aardig, heel attent, helpt je overal bij, zo bracht hij ons naar de boot voor Siem Reap. Superleuke tour in de country side.

Good location,Sam the guide made it for us 👍

Good location ,excellent helpful manager ,comfortable bed. Excellent day tour with guide (Sam) suggested by manager with very good English and great knowledge about the area.

Zweckmäßig

Hat seinen Zweck erfüllt. Wir wurden schon bei Ankunft gefragt ob wir nicht in eines der teureren Zimmer möchten. Unser Zimmer war im 3. Stock der schon auf der Etage deutlich wärmer war als Stockwerk 1 und 2. dementsprechend war das Zimmer immer sehr aufgeheizt und auch der Ventilator brachte nicht viel.

Die Badezimmertür war defekt und ausgehangen.

We enjoyed our stay in the Royal Hotel. Lovely friendly owners and staff

The property was clean and the room was spacious. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The property was fine but the roads in Battambang were all dug up the whole town which made the property dusty and noisy.

The location.

No lift with a room on the top floor. Wi-Fi was awful. It was fine for one night but would not recommend.

Clean sheets

They advertise with a rooftop terrace/ restaurant and a hottub, but both are closed since covid. You should not advertise with this if its 2 year not availble. Rooms where not clean. Out dated. Maybe thats why the privé was cheap

Nice classic and atmospheric hotel to stay in Battambang

The hotel is located in the city center. Although it seems to be an object whose "best years are behind", you can feel its interesting spirit.

A funny but also unusual solution is to install two separate showers - one for cold, the other for hot water (Considering the local temperatures for most of the year, access to cold water is probably enough, which on hot days is not cold at all).

Good for a short stay, cozy. Nice staff

Staff was so helpful and lovely! It's a cozy little hotel near the river. Wifi was good too.

It is obviously an old hotel and it's not as modern as one would like. The bidet was leaking a bit but wasn't a big issue.

Feel at home in Battambang

The coziest owners we've ever met! Always smiling, always ready to help. Were very eager to make us feel at home. They helped us book our bus tickets to Bangkok, and somehow managed to do it cheaper than any of the travel agencies we talked to on our own. Great location Very clean rooms, great variety of options Everything was better than expected, recomend this place and the amazing owners to everyone going to Battambang. Great value for money

Very good for a person with simple needs

my needs are simple. good internet, bed, space to work, good AC, nice staff All my needs were met.

it is local style, washroom, no “paper” so if that bothers you you should bring your own, seal in ziplock and throw in trash.

Superb

The staff was really helpful. They helped me out with my boat trip in the morning and they called the company for me to check out if they would pick me up. They also asked me if I needed a tuk tuk driver who speaks English. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in Battambang

Superb

A family hotel, in which everyone speaks English and try to make your stay lovely. We stayed just for one night, our room was big and very economic. The location is very good, right next to a big market and several restaurants and cafes. They helped us find our way round and made all the communications to go to Bangkok. The manager even came to the bus station to make sure everything was going smoothly. The 2 years closure during COVID felt that was hard but it seems that they recover fastly.

Good location, close to the market.

There was a descent layer of dust literally everywhere in the room and a musty smell causing a big discomfort. There was no hot water in the bathroom. We were perfidiously scammed while booking a taxi - it was meant to be 30$ according to a leaflet in the room. When i tried to book it, the receptionists started talking khmer to each other and demanded 60$ instead. After a negotiation the price went down to 45$ (we felt ripped off). When we arrived, we were greeted by an annoying tuktuk driver insisting us to book a trip with him instead of letting us get our room keys. Also the receptionists were begging us to upgrade our room with an AC even though we have chosen a different one on booking

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Battambang, and staying at the Royal Hotel was part of it...

Location near the market, local shops, even a KFC, Starbucks and a CP fresh supermarket, and not far from the river. The owners spoke good English. Staff were flexible and went out of their way to be helpful and guide us as needed. Good view and breeze from the roof floor (restaurant not opened yet) [Hotel has been closed for 2 years due to pandemic]. There is a good massage shop next door with blind massage therapists. English-speaking TukTuk drivers were around to help us get here and there. We also used the PassApp for booking TukTuks.

The hotel is recovering from the pandemic and seems to be be getting back into action, and they are slowly opening more rooms. There seemed to be a shortage of staff. I found dust under the beds, on top of the wardrobe and in some of the drawers. It was not obvious, it was out of sight, and I didn't notice it for a couple of days. I informed the management and they were sincerely apologetic and will definitely attend to it. It seemed to be a problem with the untrained, new, or lack of cleaning staff. I'm sure it is OK now... This would not stop me from staying there in the future.
