Room was decent, pool and hottub were clean amd in working order. Beach was beautiful. Price was right.

Floors were filthy, missing moldings around the room, chairs and table broken. The chair was wobbly! Crumbs and bundles of dust balls everywhere. Bathroom very outdated, falling apart. Bathtub was black encrusted, as was the flooring in bathroom. Balcony was very dirty and missing chunks of fake grass. Thank goodness just a one night stay!

Pictures missing off the walls, bathroom floor has visible damage with potential tripping hazard. Hole in ceiling where hanging light fixture was. Faded carpet. Only thing decent was the bed. Will not stay here again.

Outdated, outlets were so wore that couldnt plug in phone charger, walpaper peeling off walls, no hot water in the shower just barely warm. Breakfast was only granola bars and coffee nothing more.

had to check in at another hotel cause arrived after 11pm!! when checking out, no one was there, had 2 leave room key in a bucket, therefore no receipt even!!

Room next to humming pop machine. Screen to slider torn. Wanted waterside and deck. Deck was in need of major upgrade. Satisfied but probably won't stay again.

The lady at the desk seemed very irritated. The rooms were outdated and not the cleanest. It was peak season so giving them the benefit of the doubt. Feel like they just pushed us through and had high traffic volume.

The mattress was not good. The light fixtures were falling off the wall. Not much for outlets and charging.

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and the view was amazing. Fireworks were awesome too.
The bed did not have the right size sheets on it, but we made it work with out much issue. The phone didn’t work but that was not a big deal except that we had to go to the front desk of the Best Western at 2am because we couldn’t call. Remote for the tv didn’t work until we discovered there was an external device plugged in that you had to point the remote directly at. This was behind the tv stand and we had to dig it out. Shower water would either keep getting hotter until you couldn’t stand it (even when it was all the way on cold) or kept getting cold until you couldn’t stand it.
The front desk attendant was extremely helpful every time we needed anything. Overall, a good trip despite the extremely minor inconveniences

No continental breakfast but the site said continental breakfast was included. They only had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Rooms could use some tlc. Shower a little moldy.

The lady at the desk was always friendly and very helpful. The hotel is old but they are working on updating. Our room had laminate floors and we saw them tearing out carpet in other rooms. We had a balcony facing the water. This was great due to we had a toddler. It allowed us to have coffee in the morning and drinks at night with her sleep schedule. The bed had 3 very small pillows each. I wish I'd remembered to bring my own. It was convenient. We walked everywhere except to Darrows for breakfast.

The hotel was right one the water and that was nice. The hotel did have a pool but it was dirty and did not smell like a pool should. The website also said that there was laundry available - a self service coin operated laundry, but there is none on site. You have to go to the hotel next to them to use their services.

If you dont have any standards for yourself or your family then this is the place to be. I had high expectations because of the Wyndam name. Never again will my family choose this as i value our safety. We did not stay. We could not stay. Children were 11 and 13 and when they said it was "disgusting". We ran. You would think for the price it was up to date---negative. Pictures on website are not the reality. What happened Wyndam? We rated it 1. Does not even deserve a number. Your likely to walk away with illness or broken bones. We did not dare take the chance.

Disappointing, served its purpose for a quick one night stay but couldn’t have gotten out of there faster. Room was dirty, saw two spiders in their webs in the room, wore flip flops the entire time including in the shower. Only highlight was location, town was walkable and room was right on the water. Did think about just going non refunded to somewhere else.

Overall, staff was great but lots could be improved/updated upon. Breakfast - doesn’t exist really… no biggie, but overall cleanliness is hard with a general ambiance that’s a bit worn and out of date. Beds were comfortable, shower was strong but short for a 6’ person. Room service missed us 2 of the 4 days - we were out and about a lot so much of this didn’t rally matter but it is noticeable. Lots could be improved upon by ownership

The hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. Peeling wall paper, stained bathroom floor and a jacuzzi tub that was incredibly loud. BUT the staff is friendly and efficient. The location on the beach was worth it. Waking up and looking out on the water and walking steps to the beach made for an incredible trip. The jacuzzi was huge and relaxing when the jets weren’t on. We apologize to the adjacent rooms when we turned the jets on since it sounded like an airplane taking off.

There were gnats all over the room. Dried poop on the side of toilet. Joint and tobacco all over the bathroom floor and carpet. The room was so gross

Air conditioner did nkt work well. Rooms carpet needs to be replaced. Bathroom needs to be updated. Fell in bathtub while taking a shower because there was no nonskid strips

The front door lock did not have a chain or any type of secondary lock. The sliding door did not lock, nor did it have a safety bar as an added safety measure to keep the door from opening.

Queen beds are more like full sized beds… When we asked at the front desk why the beds were smaller, we were told these hotels carry their own queen sizes not the standard everyone else has… front desk receptionist was rude to just everyone who walked in through the door. Very unnecessary

We stayed 2 days. Had hoped to stay on Mackinac Island but that is expensive and hard to book in late July. The Super 8 is a short walk to both ferry services so it was convenient to spend most of the day on the island. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. The beach is nice but the water too cold for us Floridians. The rooms open to the outside rather than a hall, which some people worry as a safety concern. Being on the first floor we didn't feel comfortable opening the drapes with so many people walking by. I would stay there again, though. Even with the ferry charge, it was much cheaper than staying on the island.

Bed was not made with correct sheets. ie flat sheet was on bottom (sideways), mattress cover was the top sheet, air conditioner only worked at lowest setting and was noisy. Bed comfort was marginal.

This hotel definitely needs some very serious and necessary updating. There was mold on the walls in the shower. There were holes in the walls in the sink and bathroom area that were stuffed with toilet paper. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off. The tub drained very slowly. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very loud. It didn’t have a cover over it so inside the ceiling was exposed, and you can see all the dust and cobwebs on the wires and surrounding the exhaust fan. The sliding screen door would not stay on the track and kept falling off, and the screen had holes in it and was also coming out of the frame. The patio door would not lock. The balcony was very soft underfoot and did not feel safe. The room had a slight musty smell to it. There were no fitted sheets on the beds just a mattress pad with a flat sheet over it that didn’t cover the whole mattress. There was not enough parking, not even in their overflow parking lot. When I asked the lady at the front desk, what I was supposed to do as far as parking I was told it would be ok to park in the handicap parking spot since no other parking was available. I was definitely not comfortable with that. The only positive was that our hotel was within walking distance to shopping, ferry docks and restaurants.

We are just leaving the Super 8 beach front hotel. Overall, I’d say our stay was good and the kids loved the beach. But the breakfast was ONLY granola bars…that’s it. Was surprised by that. We had 5 rooms in our group and some had broken AC, no microwave, kinda gross tubs and baths. I guess it’s what you come to expect in a budget Super 8 motel, but might be worth it to stay at the Best Western or Hamilton Suites next door. Parking was easy and appreciated the shuttle bus to Shepler’s right from the lobby

Every window was left open so the room was full of bugs upon arrival. Multiple holes in every wall. Smelled musty. Very very outdated. Wall paper coming off the wall in bathroom. Got locked out of room on balcony (lock switch on door flipped/fell into closed/locked position when I shut the sliding door, while outside on the balcony. Needed 2 remotes to operate TV (1 to change channel, 1 to control volume). No outlet anywhere near the 1 side of the bed. Other outlets wouldn't hold chargers, plugs, etc. Overall horrible experience.

This is a s.... Hole. Wyndham needs to spend some money on upkeep. There is mold in the bathrooms. The bedding was threadbare .All of the window screens are dirty and have holes. The pool water was so cloudy that you couldn't even see your hand in the water. The pool patio had dead bird on it and was covered in filth and spiders. The staff were not helpful at all. If I could give it a negative 5 I would.

Room was in disrepair bathroom falling apart, no phone service, no cable tv, had to get front desk to come up because phone had no service. No microwaves in rooms had to heat everything in a tiny microwave next to the front desk. Wouldn’t recommend for a family. There was no room service so all garbage was piling in our room. The grounds were not maintained. Parking was on the opposite side of the hotel where it was pitch black with a massive flood in the middle of the parking lot. Cops were giving parking tickets out. We asked for garbage bags, received ice bucket bags. Rooms were dirty, wallpaper falling off the walls. Sauna was not working even though this was advertised and it was nailed shut so it wasn’t working for a long time. Front lobby they have hot cocoa, cups, creamer, sugar, but no hot coffee or hot water to make the hot cocoa, very odd. This property needs some major updates, repairs and deep cleaning finally. Completely archaic.
