The staff was so amazing. They are the saving grace for this place. The apartments aren't anything special to be honest, but the staff are super helpful, very nice, and just an overall joy to be around.

Very friendly staff and clean

They had a generator during the rain storm so we had power when the whole Island was out of power!
4.5
Very nice. Close to everything and super awesome staff!! Loved it.

Place was clean. Safe. I would stay there again.

Great apartment! Simple, but has all the amenities you need during your stay (kitcken doesn’t have a microwave but has a fridge and oven you can use), AC/fan, etc. The staff was really awesome and helpful not only with our apartment but giving out tips and making sure everything was smooth during our stay. Would recommend and definitely come back!

It was great

Would add A/C to whole apartment. Rooms with great A/C. Loved it, as all these nearby properties they are 10 stars 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The communication was excellent from the very beginning. The apartment was clean, and safe. We enjoyed daily breakfast at the Tostado restaurant one block away. Open from 8am-3pm.
You can walk from the apartment to theold San Juan in 15-20min which we did at the end of the day when it was not so hot.

Everyone was extremely friendly. Bakeries on the street were delicious. If your a cat person they come to say hello.Bodega across the street. Looks are deceiving they are improving the entire area. But this is great. The ST Agustin apartments was safe n comfortable I will come again. Staff was very nice.

Property was in a great location, we walked around to several restaurants and bars. We were staying prior to our cruise, although you can walk to the port, it would not have been feasible with luggage. We booked a shuttle to take our group. The property, or at least the apartments we were provided are very worn, they were clean and comfortable, but we did not stay in anything reassembling the beautiful pictures that were shown. With that being said, it met our needs and we would stay again.

Excellent property in an amazing neighborhood!!! There is a small bodega, a bakery, several restaurants, and a gas station within a block of the property. They have their own off street parking lot with night time security. The communication is great with staff and they are very helpful with any questions you might have. Excellent place to stay.
4.5
The property was nice and clean, and the location was a plus for the plans we made for our trip.
4.5
The apartment is conveniently located near Old San Juan and has a bakery next to it along with a bodega across the street. There is also a restaurant across the street that has breakfast. We had the top level apartment which was very spacious and we had views to the port and an area to sun bathe as needed. The rooms were spacious and beds are very comfy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is no elevator and we had to walk 4 flights of stairs with bags.
4.5
We liked everything about this stay. Staff was super friendly and accomidating. Wonderful communication throught our entire stay. Room was nice and cool and very comfortable. Walked all over the area and was perfect for our couple of day stay before we boarded our cruise.
4.5
Would never stay here the bathroom toilet over flooded the water turns cold after like ten minutes in shower like if your times no microwave and no bathtub not good for little ones I also went to wash and there washers flooded the basement water everywhere me and another customer were there and clothes were left soaked that we had to pay for
4.5
All the processes was really simple, since booking to the checkout was easy, the apartment was really clean and comfortable.
4.5
Location was very close to the malecón and a small grocery store. Check in and out was easy; the people were super nice! Apartment was spacious and good for two people. Enjoyed the balcony, especially in the evening. Biggest downside was an extremely uncomfortable sofa.
4.5
The apartments are very well equipped (eg kitchen, first aid, tv, wifi, coffee) & maintained. Property is within walking distance of OSJ. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I loved our stay at St.Agustin! The apartment was large for our small family stay, we had a kitchen and two separate bedrooms and wifi. There is also a co-working space with a small coffee machine and a great bakery next door. We had constant communication from the front office team with security guard information and suggestions of things to do during our trip. The location is far enough from everything to feel local, but close enough to walk to Old San Juan and the beach and Uber to Condado for less than $10. Also, they have a book of improvements they've made to the neighborhood in the co-working space and it's an amazing before and after view of where the space will be in the future.

This place was a great value for the price. The location was great, a nice walk to Old San Juan and a quick Uber ride to Condado and both airports. The welcome at check in was great and all communications were replied to promptly. A few small things and I would give it 5 stars. We were 2 couples staying in a two bedroom. It was spacious enough but needed a couple more comfortable chairs or another love seat in the living room area so that we could all sit there. The chairs with the kitchen table just weren't comfortable. A full size coffee pot would be nice. And they would only give us 4 bath towels which is not enough with two woman with long/thick hair who need a second towel. My longer term wish list would include a microwave and direct TV. But again, at this price point it's a great deal!

The property is beautiful , authentic and super safe. There is plenty of things to do around and the staff is super welcoming and on top of things when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Was very happy with stay overall! Hoping to visit Puerto Rico again, and would definitely stay again!!
4.5
Very basic, no-frills property, that is a great base to explore San Juan or Puerto Rico in general. The place is clean and safe, management is very responsive and efficient. The full kitchen comes in very handy and the free parking next door is a very useful feature in this part of town. Just don't expect any luxury (which is reflected in the price). This is an older property so it has no elevator, be prepared to climb some steep stairs (they do disclose this in advance). All in all a nice, safe place to be your home base while you explore Puerto Rico.

While not angry, I'm underwhelmed by this "hotel" experience for a few reasons:
1. Check in was extremely convoluted for no good reason. There is conflicting signage on *where* to check in, so that makes it confusing right off the bat. I had to call to figure it out, and they texted me a GPS link which made it look like we were miles away (not the case, it's just down the street). After walking in circles, we figured out where the front desk was. Check in for multiple rooms was very problematic for their system and I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to take care of things. The staff was really sweet, it's just an awful system.
2. Our bed was really uncomfortable. It was a futon-style mattress, very thin and hard. Not firm (I like firm mattresses), this was hard. The bed was also too short for my husband, who is 6'1". The futon couch in the living area is perhaps the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I've ever attempted to sit in. I think it was broken. We sat on the floor or in dining chairs.
3. The "kitchen" is un-usable because there's nothing in it. One 8-inch skillet and a few utensils. We couldn't even boil water! We had groceries go to waste because there was just no way to cook them.
4. The bathroom and surfaces were clean, the floor was not. The old, historic tile is very cool. I understand that it's not going to shine like a new surface--that's fine. But our feet were dirty after walking barefoot.

Wonderful experience definitely would come back

It’s a nice apartment in a safe area . You can walk to the tourist areas in Old San Juan. Also what I liked is the parking.

Excellent views! Super cozy apartment with local charisma!

Great customer service!

Great communications. Excellent and very friendly staff. Would stay in one of their properties again. Easy access by long walk or fast uber to old San Juan, Condado, etc.
4.5
Love this property. Friendly staff and very clean room. This was my second time staying at this property.
4.5
Let's start with the good experience. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable beds. The bads, first day we did not have hot water and the hot water is heated by solar panels. So if there is no sun, you know what to expect. The laundry facility is in bad condition. It was flooded with water when we had slight rains. There were two washing machines that are not functional and we ended up wasting more money and getting clothes that are not dry. We had to take them to a laundromat to be washed and dried again. The washing machines should be fixed or removed. Given how much I paid for my stay, I definitely will not come again and there are much better places around the area with the same cost.

Great people and fun area in a quaint and mostly quiet place

First of all, every single staff member we interacted with was beyond friendly and accommodating! Communication is 1,000% better than any rental I’ve stayed at before. They do an amazing job via WhatsApp. Apartment is spacious and A/C was strong and appreciated. Everything was super clean. We arrived around 2am, and we were a little nervous about the area when we first got there. They have security on site, the property is gated, and we felt totally safe during the day (two females). We walked the 15 mins down to Old San Juan a few different times, once at night. I do want to point out that this is not going to be the same experience as staying at a typical hotel. The floors are cement/tile and you can definitely see the age of the building in the walls/ceiling. I was a little bit worried about bugs, but never saw a single one during our four night stay.
A few other notes - we drank the water from the faucet the first night but were told later that it wasn’t recommended. They ask that you don’t flush your toilet paper due to older plumbing. This was a new one for me! The Mallorca at the bakery right next door is definitely recommended! Lots of stray cats in the area. One made a habit of greeting us at our door each morning.
In all, we would stay here again!

Let me begin by saying that I appreciate how they are improving the PDT neighborhood. I'll start with the Positives of our experience: Staff communicated quickly via WhatsApp, free parking was easy, apartment was conveniently located to Old San Juan and beaches, near bodega and bar and amazing food truck (Misfit Kitchen), A/C worked great, laundry room was useful, sweet kitties around. Now for the Negatives: Based on the photos of the property, we thought the apartment would have a balcony. Upon arrival, the staff stated that I had requested a ground floor apartment. I absolutely did not, and there is no reason that I would have, and I said so. So we did not have a balcony. Also based on the photos, I saw there was a rooftop terrace, but we were not allowed access to it because we had that ground floor apartment. (???) Now to the bathroom...the shower water pressure was almost non-existent...and although a repair man was sent quickly, he only replaced the shower head which made no difference in the pressure once he left. However, he did repair the towel rack that fell off the wall. After that, the toiletries holder fell off the wall and the light toggle switch stopped toggling, but we just lived with those issues and did not complain anymore. It was the holidays and we could live with it. So in conclusion: I would definitely recommend this property (La Ferreteri), I just wouldn't recommend this particular apartment as it was a disappointment inside and out. Sincerely.
