This is the second time I have stayed there and definitely would again if I am in New York city. It is close to the train station so very convenient. I feel safe there and appreciate the 'no party' atmosphere. It was very quiet.
I didn't have a phone so had to wait to get in the main door until someone was coming out. I had to knock several times at the door on the second floor in hopes someone would answer.

I admire the excellent staff of the hotel, a lot of free snacks, tea, and especially the homemade cookies that all guests can taste :)
Some noise due to low sound isolation between cabins

The location. The stuff was so kind
The rooms don’t have real ceiling so you hear everything around
5.0
The staff was , without exception, friendly, kind and efficient. The location is convenient to all of mid Town, numerous subway stops and Penn Station. The area is full of great little neighborhood eateries. The facility was kept very clean, bed was comfy and it was incredibly quiet, especially considering this is a basic pod hotel with dividing walls that do not extend to the ceiling. Interfaith is a really great value. But please understand before you book what type of accommodation this is. It is a pod with shared facilities. It is very basic but clean and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend it.
Not so much a "didn't like" as a caveat. The stairs are quite steep and, I suspect, would be hard to manage with large/heavy luggage or for anyone mobility impaired.
Also, if you are a chronic snorer, this is not the place for you...they clearly state this, and please believe it.

It was just a paradise: all the guests were neat, quiet, and polite. Super secure, clean, unlimited fruits, good tea (but not coffee, if you are addicted like me bring your own), bread, milk, cereals, hot and cold water. Ear plugs provided, toilet paper, etc. Very welcoming stuff, 7/24 there, were flexible with the check-in time. The best location! And they accept WhatsApp calls in case you don't have a local SIM card.
If you are tall, consult them in advance since the beds fit average persons, not more. You do hear all the snoring and coughing guests, and the sirens, so the earplugs are helpful. I asked them via Whatsapp message (as they suggested it was possible) the day before I came whether they had hot water to drink, and since I hadn't been replied, I brought my own kettle, which I didn't use, as they do have everything on both floors. But this is just a small detail - they are working so hard around the clock to make this place well-kept, so I believe my questions were missed. The last thing to be considered - as they emphasize in the ad, there are stairs, just in case you have a big suitcase. I guess the host can help you with moving it upstairs; there is no elevator. Other than that - everything is just perfect!

- Letto comodissimo: materasso confortevole, lenzuola pulite

I really enjoyed my stay with y’all. The staff was so pleasant and accommodating.
The water temperature in the shower was a little cold, but honestly that’s my only suggestion. The location and value and worth the star alone!

vegan only place, which was great. had PB, milk substitutions, bread and fruit available at all times which was very nice. staff was helpful.
room is not a room - VERY small, no place to even open a suitcase inside.
no 4 walls - the walls doesn't reach the ceilings so you hear EVERYTHING, hence my sleep was very late and I woke up several times during the night.
it was also very hot during the night and other than striping.. no way to handle it.

Friendly staff, good location and wifi. Small room but nice and warm
Bed was a bit hard for my taste but otherwise okey."Open" celing so if you are a light sleeper there are some noise when people move around

No privacy, you could hear everything, and a lot of the problems I had were not at all advertised on their listing. Also, the guy who showed me my room made me uncomfortable and was a bit passive aggressive. I ended up not staying at all.

The location was amazing! The people were nice, plenty of food in the common area, and everything was clean and neat. The pods are small and lockable. They even provided ear plugs. I liked my stay.
I would've liked a little more comfy bed.
I'm a Christian. The only reading provided are books for and about Hare Krishna.

Nothing is good
This is very creepy place with weird smell
All is bad
Very tight wooden partitions with no ventilation or air conditioning

The door to my sleeping quarters didn't open in the middle of the night-it wasn't a lock issue-it was the frame and door. I had to call for help. If there were a fire, I would have been toast.

Location was excellent right next to Penn Station NY
Check in challenge as you have to call internationally on your phone while in front of the entrance door - please get 'bell'
Room is not a room and simple facility is very basic facility (reminds of Tokyo booths with no privacy).

I was pleasantly surprised, as this was my first stay in a Hostel in NYC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was extremely quiet, incredibly clean, and I felt very safe. There was a lot of privacy and I liked how welcoming the common area was Id highly recommend it for solo travelers.
I understand why having a lattice ceiling helps make the space feel more open, but you could hear others. The ear plugs helped a lot.

The location can't be beat - very close to Penn Station, on a major street in Manhattan, among restaurants and shops.
This is a very, very odd place. I would recommend it only if you're a short, small person. It's at the level of a hostel in terms of type of overnight accommodation, but what it provides in terms of the facilities is even a step below a hostel.
The "rooms" (call them a cubicle or even cell) are very, very small. Most of the space in the rooms is taken up by the bed, and you could argue that that is really the only thing you need in an overnight place - just a place to sleep. But there's hardly any other space to stand up and get dressed or pack/unpack your suitcase. Nevertheless, they manage to provide for many of your needs in this tiny bedroom space - a full-length mirror, a bedside table, electrical outlets, generous shelf space, hooks and hangers.
But the bathrooms are almost worse for space. Any open space around or in front of a sink or toilet or shower stall is potentially taken up by another person or door to get into the bathroom. In other words, there's sometimes dancing around other people, shuffling to get out of each other's way, and when you're in the bathroom or showering, there isn't much space to do what you need to do, as in the sleeping rooms.
The name of the place shows that it's run by a religious organization. But it's really, really visible. Photos and pictures of religious people and scenes are everywhere. There were even a handful of pictures, books and pamphlets of a religious nature in my room. There is a faint scent of incense throughout the place.
The anytime breakfast in the common area is very odd and lacking as well. Fresh fruit is plentiful, but it's laid out on practically every spot of open counter space that you can't find a place to pull up a chair to eat. There is cereal and bread/toast available. But on my second morning, I wanted a bagel, and there was no knife to cut the bagel and no knife to spread the butter on it.
