Cottage is on a 17-acre private property three miles from Battlefield and four miles from downtown Gettysburg providing a beautiful, peaceful setting for your relaxing get-away. Nature and seclusion are yours. Everything about this property was outstanding. Every need is thoughtfully planned for. The menagerie was fun and very tame. At the risk of not being able to get a cottage in the future I'd highly recommend couldn't be more perfect if you want to get away to the quiet of the countryside

Our stay was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed. Their hospitality was out of this world from the hand written notes, cold drinks and snacks upon arrival and the graciousness of letting us park our motorcycle under the carport. We loved the decor and the entire vibe of Briarfield. Thank you for making our long weekend stay the absolute best!!!!

We are so happy to have found this lovely cottage- quietly tucked away on a quiet country road outside of downtown Gettysburg but just a very short drive into the heart of town. The property was delightful- the cabin extremely clean and comfortable with every amenity we needed. Both Chris and Todd are very easy to deal with and made us feel very welcome. Will definetly stay here again!

Chris and Todd are great hosts. Communication was excellent. The property is in a very peaceful rural setting.Loved sitting out on the screened in porch in the morning feeding the turkeys, chickens and rabbits that came over to see us.This was our second visit and will definitely return.

I planned this trip as a weekend getaway - our first time traveling without our children - and it was perfect. The hosts were kind, welcoming and communicative. The property and accommodations were exactly what we were looking for and the thoughtfulness of the hosts is apparent. Great location for those who plan on spending time in Gettysburg and/or the surrounding area. Will definitely book again.

It was a wonderful alternative to staying in a hotel, as we have always done in Gettysburg. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful, surrounded by nature. It was fun waiting for the pets to make it up to our cabin each morning. Todd and Chris are outstanding hosts. They left us snacks and drinks. We needed absolutely nothing. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay, using this location as a home base for several days of adventures in the area - Gettysburg proper, northern Maryland, and central PA. Very comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming.

We enjoyed our stay at Pickett Cottage and found the location and “residents” to be a joy! We had smiles on our faces from our arrival to our departure and loved the screened in porch where we spent most of our time when we weren’t in town. We hope to return as soon as we can!

The cottage surpassed my expectations. The communications with the owners for the check in process was simple and easy. Upon arriving everything went smoothly. The small extra touches made me feel very welcome and at home. It was the perfect weekend get away. I can only hope the cottages are available for my next visit to Gettysburg.

We absolutely loved this place! The cottage was beautifully decorated with period pieces that fit in with the Gettysburg area and our hosts had provided so many little extras that we felt spoiled! The animals were such an additional reward...we loved the bunnies, chickens, turkeys, and Izzy, the dog! Friendly, personable host who is very invested in making sure the stay is more than excellent!

What an amazing property! The hosts, cottage, and friendly welcoming party set the stage for this peaceful and relaxing overnight trip. The quiet atmosphere of the property away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gettysburg was perfect! If you love the outdoors and don’t mind a few VERY FRIENDLY turkeys, chickens, ducks, and bunnies, this is the place for you! We highly recommend it. We will be going back!

We loved the Brierfield cottages. We stayed in Picketts Cabin and had such a relaxing weekend. The animals running around the yard were fun and very friendly, including the family dog. If you want a nice, clean, quiet stay while visiting Gettysburg you wouldn’t go wrong staying here. Thanks to Chris and Todd for being great hosts, we’d love to come back down the road.

We had a peaceful stay in our cottage. Love the privacy, and our feather and furry welcoming committee. Our hosts thought of everything making us cozy and comfortable even with snow the first night. Close and easy to get around neighboring towns including Gettysburg. We plan on booki by again in spring and possibly for our sons and their spouses for a Gettysburg weekend. Thank you to the owners Chris & Todd for a wonderful stay at their quaint cottage. From the time we pulled up and were escorted down the pathway to the cottage by “the boys” (beautiful turkeys) and then joined by a host of more turkeys, chicken, roosters, bunnies & a couple of dogs & cats, we knew it was going to be a great trip! It was so peaceful there, the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The place is spotless! Chris & Todd are the ultimate hosts. Even left us some fresh eggs to take home. We will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I previously stayed at the pocket cottage for bike week and just had to return. The cottage is just spectacular!!!! Chris and Todd are AMAZING hosts and so is Izzy there dog as well as all the farm animals. The cottage is stocked with all you would need for your stay. If you’re looking for some place to getaway from all the noise and craziness from your everyday life, then head over to The Brierfield cottage where you will definitely have peace, quiet and tranquility!!! My husband and I enjoy our stay whenever we go. Chris and Todd, you guys are the best host ever. Thank you for the wine, drinks and snacks. We have stayed in many places for our vacations but your place is our #1 vacation spot!!!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!! See yous in July for bike week. 🤗🤗🤗
