In addition the host was very responsive to inquiries before and during travel always adjusting his schedule to accommodate our changing itinerary. The location did not disappoint being close to public transport and loads of good restaurants and shopping. All in all a great stay.

Raymond is a superb host; very thoughtful and extremely helpful. Most pleasant out of eight properties we've stayed in the UK.

We stayed in Glasgow for our daughters 21st as part of her present. The flat is so well located and was very comfortable. Could not fault it and Raymond was lovely too.

I doubt there is a better rental available in Glasgow. I only wish we had been able to stay longer! The location of the flat was within walking distance of the train station, shopping, cinema, and almost everything else you could need. It was spacious, full of character, and had a great updated kitchen. Raymond was a generous and helpful host—he added a nice touch to our experience. We will be back!

Loveliest most amazing host in Raymond, fab central location in the city and awesomely comfy "home from home". A bit too close to all the great choice of eateries for the waist-line but great for foodies in general. The 5min walk to either Central and Queen St stations and taxi's was so handy for getting around. Highly recommended stay for your next Glasgow stay.

This apartment is perfectly located near the Pedestrian area of Glasgow. Spent 4 nights here and it was absolutely what we needed! Loved every single thing about it...decor, layout, location!! Raymond was extremely helpful and attentive, checking in on us via email just to make sure we were getting along ok . Cant recommend this property enough. Wonderful apartment for central Glasgow experience. Close to all amenities and an ideal base for exploring the city. The host Raymond is very helpful, friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciated the flowers and breakfast he supplied, and all the items the place is stocked with. We really benefited from his Glasgow guidebooks. It's a noisy environment being in the heart of the city, so BYO earplugs if you're noise sensitive, as we did need them - but that's an easy trade-off for this great spot. We really appreciated the home comforts after long days - ample chairs, cushions, bed linen and towels (and hot water) etc. As self-catering cooks, it was great to have a really lovely kitchen but we would have enjoyed a bit more cookware. The washing machine works well (and there's enough drying racks which is truely rare) but the coffee machine defeated me! The lounge room has nice views out onto the neighbourhood and is comfy. The bathroom is adequate. The main bedroom would benefit from a carpet (it's rather a different style from the rest of the place) while the huge back bedroom has a great vibe and very comfy twin beds. The nineteenth century apartment building is a bit knocked around by age but still a grand dame. Pictures are accurate. This stay was a great start to our holiday in Scotland. Highly recommended.

We are a family of 4 with 2 older teenagers. The apartment was great and centrally located so we could all come and go as we pleased. Apartment is exactly as per listing and Raymond was really helpful. Would definitely rent again.

First of all, contrary to what many Europeans believe, Glasgow is a wonderful city to visit, friendly, honest, unspoilt by tourism, beautiful surroundings, splendid sights, museums etc. , and in the middle of the City Centre Raymond's apartment, a commodious, very well equipped base for a stay in Glasgow - only one block away from the best pub in Glasgow, the Drum and Monkey.

Great property, very clean, smartly decorated. Raymond, the property owner was flexible with our arrival time and was there to meet us and show us around the apartment and offer tips for things to do and see in town. Would definitely rent again on a next visit to Glasgow.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Loved how close it was to trains and all Glasgow has to offer. The streets can be noisy on weekends but that’s the trade off when you want to be close to the action-sometimes a bit noisier.

Everything about our experience with this apartment was great: the initial inquiries, the booking, checking in, and of course the stay itself. Raymond is clearly very organized and takes pride in his apartment and the experience of his guests. The apartment itself is spacious and very conveniently located. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again.

We stayed at the property with a 17 and 22 year old. The location was great to able to walk to everything. Take advantage of the parking card provided to get good parking rates. The map on how to find the lot is in the book. Overall a great experience.

We have used VRBO for our European travels now for three years and we are getting quite good at assessing the photos and the reviews. EVERYTHING that prior reviewers said about Raymond was spot on. Raymond was VERY easy to communicate with through both email and What's App - he was very attentive to communications and typically answered within an hour - if we didn't send our communications during the middle of his night!! Raymond was very flexible to our arrival time. We hadn't decided when we would leave Edinburgh until literally we got on the train. We messaged Raymond when we hopped the train and he was at the flat when we arrived an hour later. He gave us a great tour of the flat and explained fully how to lock the place up upon our check out. During our stay, the electric kettle started to leak water. We messaged him just to let him know - but in classic Raymond style - he popped by on Friday and replaced it. We found the place VERY comfortable - which was super thankful since Glasgow was experiencing a very rainy end of May. We spent the better part of Friday afternoon curled up in our living room reading as we watched the rain. Our favorite feature was the walk in shower. No stepping over a very tall bathtub to the floor! We can fully recommend one of Raymond's pub recommendations - The Pot Still! Also just two blocks down Redfield is a Coop grocery store with a good selection of wines and cheeses - all we really needed during our stay - but the store was well supplied. If you are a first time VRBO user - Raymond should be your first experience - he will make you a believer in the process!

This flat was superb. Centrally located and close to the train station, shopping, restaurants and pubs, the building was secure, comfortable and well-maintained with a lovely flair that made the rooms special.

The pictures don't lie. This flat was the best rental unit we used ( were also in Edinburgh and London ) Raymond was a pleasure to deal with and greeted us when we arrived and sent us detailed instructions on how everything worked prior to our arrival. We used all the facilities, stove, fridge, vacuum, TV, oven, washer/dryer and iron - all were in perfect working order. Raymond also had a welcome basket for us when we arrived and pantry was fully stocked. The flat was centrally located to all attractions we visited. If 10 was a perfect score I would give Raymond and his flat an 11 - well worth the rental price. Thanks Raymond for a wonderful stay.

The apartment was wonderful and clean had everything you could need as well as being located within the city and walking distance to anything you could need! Raymond met with us when we arrived gave us a run through of the apartment and also helped us with parking for our hire car as we weren’t planning on using it for our stay. He was super lovely and really helpful! We would stay here again and would have no trouble recommending our friends to stay here too!

We enjoyed very much staying at Raymond's apartment. It's so centric!! It's near to everything we wanted to see. The quarter is so vibrant and full of restaurants,!!! We didn't use the kitchen because it was easier to walk down the stairs and get at any of the restaurants at the same block. We went walking everywhere and we had great meals, we ate very well everywhere.

Apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Both bedrooms are spacious, kitchen is well equipped, and separate living/dining area is great for hanging out. Location is steps away from both train stations, lots of restaurants, and the Royal Concert Hall. Raymond is a wonderful host, with great touches such as his very detailed welcome e-mail, a welcome basket and fresh cut flowers in the kitchen, and all types of area information. He personally met us upon arrival and was there for our check-out. If we're ever in Glasgow again we look forward to staying at the West George Street Apartment.
