Nice place to have a silent and relaxing stay. The access (roads) is a bit frightening. The house equipment is ok. Bed in the sleepung room is too hard (caused a severe back pain). Due to the windy and cool weather, we could not enjoy fully the grilling area and the pool, unfortunatedly. The host, Daniel was good, helpful and very friendly.

Casa do Mar liegt traumhaft schön mit Blick auf den Atlantik, den Palacio Pena und die Sintra Berge. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt nichts. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances à Colares. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques, disponibles et de très bons conseils. Le logement dispose de tout l équipement nécessaire, la vue est exceptionnelle.

die Betreuung durch die Vermieter war immer sehr prompt und wirklich engagiert. Wir wurden direkt nach der Ankunft durch die nährere Umgebung gefahren, damit wir die Strände, Supermärkte und sonstige unmittelbare Highlights problemlos finden konnten. Die Anfahrt zum Grundstück ist etwas steil und holprig und etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Wohnung liegt in einen sehr schönen, gepflegten und Buntengarten im Steilhang und man hat einen grandiosen Ausblick . Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Während unserer 8 Tage ging beständig ein Wind, so dass wir gelegentlich sogar eine Jacke überziehen mussten und die Temperatur i.d.R. 4°C weniger als am Strand war. Ein paar Auflagen für die Liegen und ein etwas größerer Sonnenschirm hätte die Liegeterasse noch besser nutzbar gemacht. Kultur gibt es in der Umgebung von Sintra reichlich Insgesamt ein sehr erfreuliches Ambiente und eine hervorragende Betreuung

We love to spend our holiday in this fantastic place. The first thought when we arrive at the Vila was that we really have found someplace unusual, a secret place in the mountain. The view was even more spectacular than you can see in the pictures, and we were so lucky that we experienced both a clear blue sky and the mysterious atmosphere when the clouds where creeping up the hillside at night. The owners are kind, friendly and helpful. They give us a lot of very useful indications. They make us feel as home. The house and garden are very peaceful and surrounded by a lot of green. The terrace has a stunning view to the Atlantic Ocean; we could have stayed at the terrace for hours just to watch the view. The apartment was clean and was perfect for our stay. PS: I’d love to be a bit selfish and keep this secret place just for me, but the owners were so nice and the apartment is outstanding. We think it's not fair people doesn't know about this little gem in the middle of Sintra forest.

We had a very warm welcome by the sympatic hosts, even though our plane arrived very late and they had to wait over 3 hours to meet us at the Colares meetingpoint. The property itself was very clean and according to the pictures (in real it actually looks better then on the pictures :-)). The stay was just as we expected - a very quite Location on top of the hill with great views and the Sightseeing sites just near by. The "road" to the house is something you have to get used to, but in the end it worked out very well. Daniel is a very nice and caring owner! providing you with the best tips where to eat and where to go (also where not to go). We enjoyed our stay up in the hills and recommended it to friends.

Un lugar fantástico para cualquier tipo de visita. Si buscas tranquilidad, éste es tu sitio. Si prefieres visitar museos, palacios, pueblos y ciudades con encanto..éste es tu sitio. Si necesitas playa, este es tu sitio. Si te gusta la naturaleza, éste es tu sitio. La casita es una preciosidad, rodeada de jardín, piscina y todas las comodidades. Es un privilegio disfrutar de sus vistas cada mañana y cada anochecer. Los propietarios, Daniel y José son un amor..amables,siempre sonriendo, dispuestos a recomendarte los mejores lugares que visitar, atentos y generosos. Si tienes mascota, no dudes en llevarla..Mi perrita Zoe se lo pasó genial, persiguiendo mariposas, durmiendo a la sombra de los árboles, correteando y olfateando por el jardín. Me encantó que fuera tan bien recibida como nosotros. Muy cerca de todo, se puede ir a Lisboa a pasar el día, una cuidad que me cautiva cada vez que voy. Volveremos sin duda. We had a really great time at Casa do Mar! We were a little late arriving but our hosts, Daniel and José Manuel were very kind and waited for our arrival to meet us at the property. They even drove us to the local supermarket at Almocagem and showed us around the area, so that we could get our bearings. The house itself was extremely clean and very well fitted out and we found it very comfortable., with plenty of room inside. They have thought of just about everything you might need. The garden is very charming and the views down to the coastline are just amazing. It was really good to have the pool and the rooftop terrace and we made good use of both. In particular the barbecue area is great and we used it almost every night. The location is great for visiting the palaces and castles in Sintra and we followed Daniel's advice in which ones to visit. Local beaches were busy on the weekend and it was sometimes difficult to park, but we liked the Praia da Adraga the best and there was always room. Highly recommended - we'll definitely tell our friends and family!

First time rental and experience surpassed our expectations. Fairly new house in traditional style which is kept clean. Embedded in an amazing landscape with views to the sea. Ideal for couple with small children. Dogs welcome. Daniel and José are most caring for all of our enquiries and needs. We can truly recommend and felt we want to come back.
