It was nice because we were close to everything. But we think it was overpriced for how small it is.

There are exceptions to every rule. We had a death in the family and my daughter was not able to emotionally and physically make the trip. We did not ask for a refund- we just needed to reschedule. “Evolve” was unwilling to help due to timing. I will never recommend this company. They should be ashamed. Money is definitely more important to them than people.

Cottage needs a little updating, the bathroom was very tight and no locks on the doors. Other than that it was in an ideal location right behind the market and in walking distance to all the fun!

Our family of 5 had a lovely time in Avalon. The property was quaint and perfectly sized so we could spread out a little. It was the right distance from the grocery store & it helped save some money by being able to eat breakfast “at home”. It wasn’t too far away from all of the fun things to do & see.

The house is cute, perfect for our stay on the island. Its in a good location walking distance to park, vons and beach. I cant wait to book my next stay !

We came for a Half Marathon Race. House has a great location. It was clean and cozy for our group. Windows need to be the next upgrade for the property. But for the good price, it was just right for our stay.

Don't do it. The place was old and dingy. The bathrooms were so small, we had to sit sideways to close the door. The back room had old items stored behind a curtain...it was a mess. On top of all that, the beds were very uncomfortable.

Good location, cute cottage but it could use a little TLC ( a few broken or dirty items and a messy closet/storage area in one of the rooms). Check-out said by 10 a.m. and at 9:40 a.m. the cleaning people were hovering outside of the front door. Overall though we did enjoy are time there and it was the perfect size for our group of 4 people.

This was a OG vintage Catalina beach rental. It was very clean and the location is superb. We had no water pressure issues like in other reviews. It was quirky and fun. It even has an old skool built in tuner and record player. It was a perfect weekend getaway. It’s not the Ritz but it gives you the vintage Catalina beach getaway. We would stay there again.

First, let me start off by saying that the property manager, Veronica was great and very accommodating. Other than that, this was not the place for us. We have stayed in many rentals on Catalina and are use to older rentals. However, this rental really was not described accurately. 1. No air conditioning in “master.” 2. Many windows are missing slats and won’t even close. 3. Front bathroom- your knees will touch the door when sitting down. There is zero water pressure, like NONE. 4. Back bathroom- toilet are is so small it’s like it was made for kids. 5. Neighbors left side porch light on and it flooded into the kids’ bedroom. The windows and coverings were so thin, there was no keeping ANY sound or light out. 6. Couches in living room were super uncomfortable and not very clean, just from being old and outdated. 7. Can’t take shower in one bathroom if someone is in the other, which is super inconvenient. 8. Nowhere to eat meals. There was only three stools, even though four were pictured. All three stools were wobbly and broken. We had to eat sitting on the couch or floor. 9. Overall this cottage could be super cute, but is in need of some serious updating, especially for the price.

The house is cute and been coming to Avalon for 25 plus years and rented many houses all over. This one was in really bad shape. One shower did not have hot water so we all had to share one shower. The one bathroom we shared if you sit on the toilet you cannot close the door. Also the water pressure was especially bad and i know they island has water rations but it would take me 5 min to rinse the soap off and finally got a cup to do it quicker. Also all the item that were listed for the beach there was no key that opened the guest doors to access them. There was a key on the cork board but it did not open that door labeled outside for that. It was just not a great rental and would not rent again. It was cute but alot of money for those issues.

The picture of cottage did not reflect The true images of the inside or outside. Carpet had several large stains, curtains fallen apart. 1st bathroom had very low Water pressure. Musty smell. Place is very outdated.

They were jackhammering and laying the foundation for a new home 3 feet from our window from 8am to 5pm. The owner had to know this and should have disclosed it. At night the street turns into a frat house. No hand soap in the back bathroom.

Property is located within walking distance of everything in Avalon and yet on a quiet street. It easily fit our family of four. Kitchen is well equipped. There is no outside space but there are plenty of public spaces in Avalon that make up for it. Place was clean and our contact host was very responsive. There are beach towels and toys for the guests to use but no beach chairs or umbrella. Lots of board games in the house. DVDs for the two TVs. No WiFi (contrary to listing). Other than that the listing provides an accurate description of the place.

The property was very clean! The beds were super comfortable and all bedding was clean and comfortable! Veronica the property manager was easy to contact and very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Over all good. Real noisy can hear everything outside and next door. Grandma's cottage. Had everything you need. Wish I had a patio chair to drink my coffee in the morning.

This place had everything that we needed for our weekend on the island. The layout is odd - you have to walk thru one bedroom to get to the other. The good thing is that each room has a bathroom nearby. Check in and out was easy. It was located near to Vons, and walking distance from everything in Avalon. Would definitely come back again. Thank you!

Everything was wonderful. Love the neighborhood. The bathrooms were a bit small. and maybe your could get better mattresses for the twin beds. They were pretty bad.

Great condo, roomy, clean, lots of beach accessories.

This is a cute cottage, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's a 5-min walk to town, shops, restaurants, and about 15 min walk to Descanso Beach. The floaties were great to use on the beach. I called the contact # to inquire why the water wasn't working from the bathroom sink in one of the bathrooms, and she explained they were waiting on a part, and to turn it on, turn the lever under sink. That did the trick (but you had to remember to turn the lever back otherwise water would accumulate). Veronica, the Guest Contact, was wonderful. Always responded to emails or calls, and stopped by to check in after i asked how to get into the storage outside (for beach floaties). I even had to contact her after we checked out - to beg her to mail a postcard that my daughter left. She did it without hesitation. She was great!

PRO: Veronica, the property manager, was very responsive and quick to come try to fix the internet when we reported an issue. Also easy walking to waterfront and restaurants/shops. Property is generally fairly clean on the inside. Queen bed was pretty comfortable. CON: layout is odd - you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the next. Sink in one bathroom was shut off and leaked on floor when we turned it on. We were told it is under repair when we called to ask but would've been nice to have been told ahead of time. We were unable to get on the internet on our laptops during the whole stay - owners apparently use a mifi instead of a router. Properties are very close to each other so got woken up a few times by loud neighbors. There's no central heat/air (just a portable one in the living room) and windows don't shut completely so sleepers in the back bedroom get very cold in the middle of the night. For the price, wasn't really worth the stay.
