Location is why we booked this property. Outdoor porch was great!

The photo shown on the site was not even close to the room we rented. Very old and dated house. Window air conditioner shut off after 1 hour and very loud.

The size of the apartment was underwhelming. Did not have the following: stove/oven, closet to hang clothes, or table to eat. Property was too old and faced a major rehab going on across the street.

Fantastic porch. The kind owners stopped by to say hello, which I appreciated. The unit is within easy walking distance of the touristy area and there are also a few really good restaurants within a couple of blocks. I liked having a dedicated parking space behind the unit. It was very clean and quiet. The kitchen was a bit makeshift, but it had everything I needed (coffee pot, portable electric burners, microwave, fridge). If I am in this area again, I would definitely stay here.

The heating / air conditioning unit is quite loud and I’m glad that I didn’t have to use it much during a February stay. Coming from a much larger metropolitan area, I was also focused on the small lock on the door. Thankfully, the area is very safe.

The proprietors we're very nice and the location was pretty good. The front porch was very inviting and considering the time of year the price was excellent! The room was adequate for the 3 days and ours was a ground floor which was a bonus, along with the dedicated parking space.

Well I don't like to write negative things but in all honesty I'm a big guy so the bathroom counter was small and tucked in a little space with not much room for shaving bags or my bigness lol. I wasn't aware of the shoes off at the door rule though it may have been in my booking and I just didn't notice it, but I thought that was asking a bit much. I haven't had a room with the A/C so close to the bed and when running it woke us up several times a night when it would cycle on. I figured out that if you turn it off when going to bed it made for a much better sleeping experience. The room only has an armoire and we're tall people so our clothes hung out over the drawers which made them unusable but I understand that there isn't really room for a closet. I want to say again that the owners are very nice and attentive people and the location was good and the price for this time of year was unbeatable. The few negatives were minor in the big scheme of things and we'd probably stay there again.

Nothing we didnt like

The room was clean and neat, and had a nice porch with seating. Off street parking was a plus. For older folk, like us, it was a pretty good walk to the commercial historic district, but doable.

Unit was cooled by a room ac. Condensate was running down the inside wall under the ac (noticed the next morning). Room was very humid to the point that we could not sleep. Bedclothes, clothing etc were damp. We left early the next morning and notified manager by text that we checked out. We only stayed one of the three nights we booked.

Easy to access trolley. Great porch with quiet street.
