We loved this well thought out cottage and the location. Close to the town centre and opposite a beautiful park. The owners were so helpful and provided great service. The cottage has everything you need. We will be booking again this year. We had a great time.

We stayed here in 2022 for 2 nights and found we needed longer to get away from Sydney, so chose a 3 night stay this weekend. Property has all we needed (and many things we didnt use, but others no doubt will). Far enough away from the main streets, but close enough to walk if you are active enough and a perfect location to venture out to any of the Blue Mountains 'places to see'

Property had everything we needed and more. Steve abd Sharon have really set this place up nicely. Fenced area for our puppy, plus all amenities that we needed. Relatively short (but uphill) walk to the main street of Katoomba, or a 2 minute drive. We could not be happier with the place itself, and the location. We certainly will be looking at this place on our next trip up to the Blue Mountains

Location of the cottage is really great. Its modern design gives the coziness. I liked there are 2 sofas with one of them is convertible sofa bed to accommodate 6 of us without talking away the comfort of the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with everything for a simple cooking when we don’t feel like dining out. The instant heaters really help in the morning as it was still quite cold. We enjoyed a walk at the little lake opposite the cottage in one of the evenings. It gave a very peaceful feeling with the great sunset. Overall, my family had a great experience staying at the cottage. Everyone including our teenage children enjoyed staying at the cottage. Thanks to Steve and Sharon for their responsiveness on my emails. Oh, almost forgot to mention that the complementary container of candies and chocolates in the fridge makes my children happy too. Thank you 😄

We had a lovely school holiday getaway at Careel cottages. The place was very thoroughly furnished, very clean, the hosts communicated very well and also managed to allow an earlier check in. Lots of heating, beautiful gas fireplace and other heaters to keep us all cosy and the house was very private at the back of the property. Tonnes of entertainment including Netflix, Stan etc. to keep our kids busy! Our pet cavoodle also loved the property and surrounding walks, and it was also within walking distance to the main town shops - providing good exercise going up the hill :) I highly recommend this place and would stay here again, thank you!

Steve and Sharon were the perfect hosts. We were kept informed throughout our stay. The house was in a great spot and was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The cottage was perfect for our stay. Bright and spacious with everything you could ever need for a weekend away. Lots of blankets and throws and the gas fire was amazing. Heated the whole house, there was no need to use any of the other heaters that were provided.. A very comfortable sofa bed. Steve was a lovely host who provided all the information we needed and let us know the cottage was ready early if we were able to take advantage of an early check in. The beautiful park across the road with the walking track was an added bonus.

Great location and great house to stay at. Offers everything you need for your stay. Only minutes from downtown and the park across the road was nice to walk the dogs every morning, with a little history tour along the way. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again. Weather was perfect too, cold but beautiful sunshine out everyday.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountains the cottage was so warm and cosy with everything we needed. It was located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We brought our fur baby, so it was fantastic there was a fully enclosed fence to keep him safe. Loved our stay would return again.

Steve and Sharon are amazing hosts. This is our second time staying at Careel Cottages and I can’t see us staying anywhere else when we go to Katoomba. The location is perfect and we will definitely be back!

Exactly as advertised. The bed is very firm which suited us but may not work for others. The kitchen is well set up and little extras make the place even better. Recent poor weather has left the garden a bit overgrown which made it impossible to use the outside area ( inundated with mozzies). Great kitchen and bathroom and very clean .

We stayed in the larger cottage at the back this year, and enjoyed the extra space and second bathroom.

Had a really seamless stay with my husband and my lil furry-boy. Located in a very convenient location, we went on a nice stroll around the park across the road, as well as to the shops nearby. The cottage is very well-equipped and we really appreciated this. Will be back again!!

Beautiful, spacious property and so glad that the fire was so good! The walk in to Katoomba was hillier than we thought (from GoogleMaps) but only around 15mins. Inside looks just as expected from the photos and had everything that we needed. We would love to stay again

The property is lovely. Heating, beds, kitchen and showers are all fabulous. The check in instructions were very simple and the description of the property was accurate. The location is great. Close to town center and a park across the road to walk the dog. Could easily stay at this property every time I am in Katoomba. For anyone needing a few days break or travelling for work, this property is marvelous!

There was nothing missing in this lovely 2 bedroom cottage. It was stylish and so warm with very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms.

Such a beautiful cottage with all the amenities one could wish for. Second stay for us, we’ll be back again that’s for sure!!

Superb accommodation in the heart of Katoomba. Had everything we needed, close to the main shops and walking distance to the Three Sisters. Definitely recommend.

We were after a pet friendly house for a short weekend away with the kids, and this property was the perfect size for that. With Catalina Park and it's abandoned race track right across the road it made a great location for taking the dog for an interesting walk.

Enjoyed a delightful 2-night stay at Steve's joint. All the mod cons and great instructions on how to use everything. Loved the turntable and collection of old records - especially the Motown classics. Very handy to the Aquatic centre for a swim and sauna. Only blemish... no shampoo! Cheers... JG
