perfect place. only issue is the water pressure. i understand the value of water in the abacos, but the tanks were all full so 9K gallons of water and the pressure was so weak the soap was impossible to remove from our bodies. the outside shower had pressure so we would rinse off downstairs

Jolly Rogers is positioned perfectly on a small bluff above the ocean, the views are spectacular and access to the ocean is easy and dramatic, there is something so lovely about the way the stairway leads you down to the ocean. Every detail, including design, layout and decor was well thought out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are private, all with gorgeous views. The great room with kitchen, dining and living flowed beautifully and again, the view, spectacular. We walked to Nippers via the beach and to Grabbers via the road. Both walks were beautiful and easy. We rented golf carts from Dive Guana and used them to explore the island, pick up groceries, liquor, ice and water, all are located less than ten minutes from the home, but miles away, in terms of privacy and bustle. We spent a wonderful day with Dive Guana’s, Captain Anthony, that included snorkeling on the north reef, feeding rays, sharks and pigs, swimming in a horseshoe shaped crystal clear cove, and eating at a fantastic little place called Pineapple’s (have the strawberry daiquiri). Our best memories though, came from the time we spent on the beach in front of Jolly Roger’s, bobbing in the swells, body surfing on the waves, snorkeling and sea glass hunting. White powder sand, turquoise water, pink sunsets, dramatic sunrises, an experience you will never forget. Jolly Rogers is definitely the kind of place that makes it hard to go home.

Beautiful property, great location, easy communication with owners and one site contact, Jackie, is awesome! It's a 30 minute ferry ride from Marsh Harbour to get to but worth it. Also, in our opinion renting a boat is a must for easy access to all the surrounding islands on your timeframe as the ferry doesn't run that often.

Absolutely perfect!

Our stay was amazing! The pictures and description in the listing do not do the property justice…it was much better than expected! The rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore would lull us to sleep. The view of the turquoise waters just beyond the back porch allowed us to forget all the stresses we left behind. The location of Great Guana Cay was perfect. It is just a short boat ride from the reefs at Fowl Cays, picturesque Hopetown and the beaches of Green Turtle Cay. I have no complaints about the house. Jackie Sands was very helpful and she provided us with delicious Johnny cakes. I would definitely return to this piece of paradise without hesitation.

We had a lovely time in a beautiful beach home with the Jolly Roger. All amenities were perfect, and anyone met on the Cay was a pleasure.

This home was perfect for our group. The house is beautiful and the view is unreal. The porch was a perfect gathering place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Do not hesitate to book this property.

We wanted privacy and beach front and Jolly Rogers delivered. With a wide cushion between this house and the next, and private steps to the beach, the house was all we hoped for and more. Hardly anyone on the beach - hardly a handful of people walked past on any given day during our two week stay, and people at neighboring houses were few and never within shouting distance. House was attractive and clean, amply supplied with linens and towels, and clearly managed with care. Sunrises and sunset were spectacular. The sound of the ocean waves was a beautiful backdrop, but then sometimes the surf was gentle and called to us to come float. If you want ocean side versus facing the inside the Sea of Abaco, this house’s position in the middle of the most beautiful beach makes it, in my opinion, the best on the island.

Jolly Roget is absolute perfection! 6 girls spent 4 nights on Guana for my birthday celebration. The house is exactly as described….but even better. It’s fully stocked with everything you could need to cook, beach or just hang out. Guana is so beautiful and an amazing place to party and play. We felt like we met everyone on the island and now call them friends! Highly recommend! PS: The owner and caretaker were incredibly quick to respond and answer questions!

Perfect house for 2 families. We were 9 and everyone was super comfortable. Great location on a beautiful beach. Only saw two people on the sand over the course of a week. The caretaker, Jackie, couldn't be any nicer and she makes a delicious banana bread. Will be back!!!

AMAZING are the best words to describe it !!!!! The house seats almost on top of the water and it is stunningly beautiful. The house is clean and the decor is perfect. Jackie was great to work with and the owner had everything ready to go when we got there. We will be back next year !!!!

We left the house on most days to do daily excursions, as 17 days without much activity would be tough. Great Guana Cay is slow to recover from Hurricane Dorian and it will be years before full recovery. We felt the need to take daily trips to other islands just to support the struggling economy. Thanks to our host and Jack Sands the manager for being so welcoming.

We could not have asked for a better spot on Guana !The location of Jolly Rogers is spot on and the views will take your breath away . The home is immaculate and the set up is perfect . We had three couples and a few teenagers and everyone had their own space and privacy . There was a lot of thought put into the design of this home. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset on the balcony everyday , just beautiful! The housekeeper, Jackie, is a little whipper snapper! She is on top of everything and answers your questions before you ask :) Thank you Jackie for your help and thank you Melanie for sharing your beautiful home !

We could not have loved our stay at Jolly Rogers any more! What a wonderful property with spectacular views, spacious rooms, and killer location. We'll be back!

Our stay was perfect and I would rank this as one of our top VRBO rentals. The house is new and has lots of room and is very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the high speed WiFi Internet access. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there are 2 very large water tanks so water was never an issue. But the most stunning thing about the property is the placement on one of the best (and secluded ) beaches in the Bahamas. We were able to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters right off the beach and the property had floats of various types. The large deck has views of the Ocean and the Bay side so you can catch sunrise and sunset. The deck also sits just above the surrounding canopy so you can enjoy the native plants and wildlife but we were never bothered by any bugs there or at the beach. I enjoyed having my coffee each morning and catching the sunrise. For lunch or dinner we either used the modern kitchen and had dinner on the large picnic table on the deck or we went to one of the several local restaurants. At night we could read or watch a DVD from the collection there or sit under the stars on the beach - and yes the Milky Way is visible and there is no light pollution. Jackie meet us at the ferry and helped us with our suitcases and in getting settled and was very responsive to our few questions over the week. I believe this property is one of the best options available on Great Guana.

A perfectly designed and built brand new house that accommodates 2 families easily. Each family had their own side of the house with the masters each facing the ocean. Kitchen was user friendly. We watched the sunrise and set all from the deck. We had the beach all to ourselves and it was probably the best beach of all the islands we visited. The abacos is an amazing adventure vacation with lots to explore or you could do noting and never leave the house and be content. Highly recommend rental.

Our group had a fantastic time at Jolly Rogers in Guana Cay! I can’t say enough about this property. We travelled with our family of 5 and our great friends, who are a family of three. The setup at Jolly Rogers allowed for everyone to have their own space, with room to spare. The middle kitchen and rec room area was perfect for meals, game time and total relaxation. When you step outside into the front porch, you won’t believe the stunning views. You can view the gorgeous sunrise and sunsets every day. On top of that, we had a great time playing in the waves right down on the super quiet beach! Shells and swimming galore! Jolly Rogers was well-stocked and pristine. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to the Bahamas. Melanie was fantastic to deal with and Jackie met us at the dock (and had picked up our carts for us!!). Jackie brought us to Jolly Rogers and made sure we were settled in. What a wonderful experience all around! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous vacation property with us!!
