This is our second time staying at this beautiful cabin! It is awesome! Great porches to relax on, plenty of room for all 8 of us! The owners are so nice and available if you have questions. We love it here. So convenient to town.

It was decorated beautifully for Christmas inside and out! We love the 3 separate floors for each set of families with 3 bathrooms. The location was fantastic for being close to downtown and attractions. This house has plenty of room for 3 cars to park. This is the second year in a row we have used this house for our Christmas vacation.

We loved the property. The bedrooms were spacious. Everything worked as it should. The game room was fun. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and gas fire pit. The hot tub was nice. We would love to stay again.

Our group had such a relaxing stay at Bear Pause after a long overnight hike! Lots of space for our group of 4 couples, and all the bedrooms were a good size. We were also able to do a good amount of cooking in the kitchen. We loved having the hot tub, pool table, and games, and got excellent use of the porches as well! We didn’t feel the need to leave, but the proximity to Pigeon Forge and 2 grocery stores less than 10 minutes away made it very easy to get around. We had one couple in our group who said their room had a large amount of hair in one spot which they found strange, but we can’t think of another thing we’d change! I hope I have an opportunity to stay here again.

The cabin was clean and cozy and beautiful. It had 4 nice bedrooms and it was comfortable and roomy for all of us- 6 adults, a 9-month old and a 19-month old. Everything worked well. Communications with the owners was prompt and seamless. We enjoyed our stay and have zero negative opinions about the stay at Bear Pause, all was fantastic.

Never been to Pigeon Forge before and it was a blast. Cabin had everything we needed. Loved it. Will return.

Clean, lots of space, great for the family and nice location close to the attractions

This was our best VRBO place yet (and we have stayed in several). We have a family of 6, so were needing a place with 5 comfortable beds. The only downside was the futon was not terribly comfortable (according to the kids who slept on it), but better than most sofa beds. But still workable. The house was very clean and had everything you would expect in a fully furnished home. I was happy to see enough linens for the whole family (places in the past never seemed to stock enough linens for a family of 6), and the tvs were new and very nice for viewing. We liked relaxing with a movie or watching something on Hulu in the evenings, and were glad to have great quality tvs that were easy to operate. Also, PLENTY of hot water!! Our kiddos all enjoyed the arcade games, and we loved having a hot tub to relax in as well. The house is very private, but close to a grocery store which was great as we cooked most meals to eat in. Close to all kinds of Pigeon Forge attractions, and not too far from the Smokeys or other attractions in Gatlinburg. We were very pleased with the stay, but the best part by far was the excellent communication provided by the hosts. There were a few small things we had questions about, and I always got answers quickly. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to visit the Smokey Mountain area. We would definitely stay here again if we returned in the future.

Perfect location for our weekend getaway for our friends wedding! The pool table and hot in were fun and the parking was easy. Enough bed for everyone! Would stay and book again!

Very pleased with Bear Pause for our family weekend vacation. House was clean and well-stocked with everything in working order. Bedrooms on three floors provided the right amount of privacy for our group, and beds were quite comfortable. House is located close to shopping and everything we wanted to see. Didn't use the hot tub or the grill, but only because we ran out of time. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Bear Pause was a wonderful place to stay with our family. It is very spacious and clean. The pool table and hot tub are great additions for teens and adults. We were close to many attractions, but were tucked away enough to have peace and quiet. I would definitely stay again and also recommend it to friends and family.

Bear Pause is a lovely home in a great location. We had a wonderful trip and it was so nice to come back to the cozy cabin after a long day of fun. The kids adored the arcade, and we were able to make complete meals in the stocked kitchen. We highly recommend a stay at Bear Pause if you’re going to be in the area!

I came here with a group of 5 ladies for my best friends bachelorette weekend it was absolutely perfect! The photos listed kind of suck (sorry) the listing is SOO much better in person I was super shocked when we arrived. I am already plan and trip back with my husband and children. The location is AMAZING!! This house is a GEM for sure.

We were very happy with the location of this property. It was near all the major attractions, including Dollywood. It was safe for young children without any major drops off the balconies, but still great views. We also enjoyed the decks and front cul-de-sac area.

We could not have asked for a better experience!! This place was incredibly clean, with little extras in place to make our stay as if we were in our own home! The arcade game, pool table, outdoor and indoor fireplaces and hot tub had us staying put (it rained, but we hardly noticed)! And to top it off, our daughter got engaged!!! Perfect!!! Thank you, Bear’s Pause!!!

Tracey was very flexible with us throughout the weekend, was quick to call back if there was anything we needed or if we had any questions.

This home is beautiful and decorated so beautifully for Christmas. We stayed during the big freeze and Tracy was quick to respond to our needs when there was a rolling blackout and later when there was no water (water main break in town). There are so many extras like soaps and shampoos if needed, towels are plenty, even for the hot tub, and a washer and dryer. There is a nice pool table and a game center that the kids enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and there are nice tvs in every room and so many appliances in the kitchen to meet any need. I wish we could've enjoyed the hot tub because it's a very nice one, but at 3* that was not practical. parking was also good, but the city should put a sign that said DEAD END as one guy almost went over the cliff he was driving too fast. The only negative for us was the steep hill to get to the home, lucky it hadn't rained and iced over or we would've never been able to get to the cabin. If they could cut step platforms or bridge across it would be perfect for any age. Again a beautiful home with so much and the best owners we've dealt with in the last 8 years of staying in the area.

The cabin was conveniently located to town but enough privacy for us. Plenty of room for our whole family. Only thing I would change would be I would bring my own cookware. I understand why rental properties don’t have the best skillets and pots but it makes it hard to cook with so next time I rent anything I will bring my own. Beautiful property with plenty of parking. Will definitely rent this one again.

Located minutes away from all of Pigeon Forge’s main attractions, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Beautiful, clean, spacious yet cozy for 8 adults, we would definitely book again. Thanks for making our Tennessee stay one of the most memorable.

The house was so cute! It was decorated for Christmas and it was so cozy. The fireplace was awesome. The location is great because you feel like you’re away from it all, but you’re still close to the parkway in Pigeon Forge that has everything. The house is alone at the end of a cul de sac, so it’s pretty private. The hot tub was a nice option too. We had 5 adults and one child, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Everyone said the beds were comfortable. Some local restaurants that we would recommend are Local Goat (make a reservation before you go, we did and it saved us), Brick and Spoon (amazing brunch/lunch place so close the house), Old Mill Pottery House Cafe, Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant for country cooking, and Smoky Mountain Brewery. We would stay here again, it was perfect!
