We had a great stay at La Hacienda. Lovely room and very peaceful. It's a little away from Playa Norte but easy enough to get a taxi for 100 pesos to and from beach. The place itself is beautifully kept - we spent the middle of the day by the pool (which was very clean) to escape the hottest part of the day.

We stayed at the Hacienda for my husband's birthday weekend. The location was wonderful and our Host was extremely helpful with restaurants and happenings on the island. We will definitely stay here again.

Good location, had a great time. Highly recommend getting a golf cart and exploring the neighbourhood.

We did not want to stay in the middle of all the hustle so this location worked for us. Karen is an awesome host - easy to reach and very gracious to answer questions or make recommendations when we asked. She gave us several tips that ended up being highlights. Bus pickup/schedule was a little unreliable the week we were there but they did always eventually come around. Easy to find great places to walk for dinner. Grocery store and small convenience shops nearby. Would stay again.

The property was charming and although it was further out from Playa Norte it was never an issue to get around. The bus route is only a few steps away, taxis are always passing by and if you have a golf cart it is a short ride pretty much anywhere. We liked getting more of the local flavour being in that area and never felt unsafe. We liked the traditional decor of the apartment, although some parts of it could use a refresh. It was nice to have the little fridge/freezer/microwave/coffee maker but it would benefit from a little shelf or two above them to store the plates/cups/mugs etc. Karen was a very nice host was always around the property but never intrusive. She was always quick to respond and her puppies were the sweetest!

Karen was a great host, made to feel very welcome the minute I arrived. I loved the free use of bicycles during my stay and made the most of them. The only thing that affected my stay was noise from barking dogs during the afternoons and sometimes at night. There is a veterinary clinic next door and I think that's where it came from. Apart from that all was good.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Karen is friendly and just the right amount of contact. Loved the dogs, the pool, and the whole vibe. Good for travelers who are looking for an experience in a local neighborhood with an easy taxi ride to the hubbub and swimming beach. Loved our stay!

Very convenient location in the center of the island located near many restaurants and stores in walking distance. Karen also has bicycles to use if you wanna ride around the island even quicker, I used this option to save some money and it worked out great! Overall nice place and very happy with my stay

The property is like a little oasis on the island with east access to stores and food on the same block. Karen was amazing and went above and beyond even after we had got lost when the taxi driver dropped us at the wrong location, she showed up to make sure we got there safely. The poolside and rooftop patio areas are lovely for relaxing or connecting. Highly recommend and we will most definitely stay here again next time!

Very mexican and authentic from the tiled showers to the wood doors on the units. Good A/c and hot water, very private and secure with locks on the exterior gate and your room. Karen is a super nice host and very helpful with information including recomendations, maps and free bikes to use. On the down side, must be careful walking around the neighbourhood due to large wawlking dangers like holes.. Love the dogs! Thanks Karen for a wonderful stay.

Karen was a wonderful hostess and the property was perfect for me. I couldn't have asked for more. Centrally located on the island so it was easy to get wherever I wanted to be. Very clean in the room as well as the exterior patio and pool area. It was quiet but very near good places to eat or have a Margarita 😊. The dogs were so sweet and greeted me every day that I stayed. Karen had good tips and suggestions for lots to do and knew a lot about the culture of Isla Mujeres. I loved it there and hated to have to go home. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon !

We had an amazing time staying at Karen’s property. She was so helpful with any questions or confusions we had with the island. Her property is beautiful and she has a great neighbor Felipe that owns Coco Jaguar restaurant. The property is central to the island which makes accessing downtown as well as the south end very convenient. It’s also just 2 blocks from the main store in town called Chedraui. We will definitely take advantage of Karen’s hospitality again in the future.

Karen's place is in an authentic neighborhood in the middle of the island which my wife and I enjoyed. It is walking distance to many small, affordable, locally attended restaurants and only minutes away from both sides of the island by taxi or golf cart. After a little bit of trouble with our room at check-in, Karen was persistent in solving all issues that came up and we had another great experience on Isla Mujeres. One small critique which is mostly out of Karen's control was a mosquito problem which was plaguing the island- hopefully that can be controlled for more comfortable use of the outdoor pool area. Thank you for your hospitality Karen.

Karen was very helpful . Her house is very authentic . It could use a bit of TLC and it would be stunning ... we had a nice time on Isla .

This was by far the most relaxing vacation I've had in a long time! It is in a wonderful neighborhood. I walked to the store and several restaurants. I felt apart of the community immediately. If you want a nice, peaceful, lack of tourists vacation - this is the place! My taxi arrived before check-in and Karen was so accomodating! She helped me find places to go, recommended good eats, and what to do. We had quite the time with WiFi, rain, and electricity. The last day of my stay the island was without power which is unusual. I had a blast at Skulls Landing with Karen and other locals. You just have to make the most of it! Other than the neighborhood, Karen and her pups made this stay the best one I've had. When I travel, I don't look for insulated all-inclusives. I look for being apart of the community and locality. La Hacienda provided that for me! Thanks Karen!!!
