The ocean view as was shown in the pictures was a bit deceiving. The ocean could only be seen if we were standing and looking out the bedroom or bathroom window. The unit was comfortable and spacious. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and well maintained. We also enjoyed the gym. We are all over the age of 60 and expect things to be as they read, however, our overall experience in Hollywood Beach was wonderful and we would defiantly return but probably a different unit.

Location is very good apartment was as advertised the check-in after hours did not go smoothly the number of chairs around the pool did not support a number of people staying in the building fortunately, we are Beach People, and did not need to use the pool.

The Tides is a very nice place great location very nice grounds pool workout room and literally steps to beach. It is conveniently located to restaurants grocery stores and the airport. The apartment was nice very clean spacious and well equipped with a nice balcony too. The only downside to it was the loud sounds of the air conditioning vent in bedrooms. 5

The owner conversed by text when needed and was helpful. However the check in process and rules and procedures was cumbersome. Having to figure out parking and parking passes, then 'fobs' to carry around, and a fee for this and a fee for that. Then all kinds of rules of what you could take in an elevator, and how and where you could bring your luggage in and out, made it all seem like just too much. Definitely took some time to figure it all out and ensure proper compliance with all the rules.The pool area was good. The gym was adequate although the equipment, especially for weights is overaged and not in great condition. In the end, after all the fees and extra costs, I would just stay in a hotel next time where everything is completely upfront.

Reviewer Comments: Disappointing...the sad thing is that if the owner spent $1000-/+ it would have made all the difference. Toilet issues, command hooks pulled off, badly needed painting touch ups, too much of owners junk in closets, duck tape on master bedroom window, door to patio from living room sealed up for no entry, windows sealed shut, no ceiling fans which would have helped when AC went out (not the owners fault). Unknowingly I signed a contract not allowing any company. I had invited 4 people for pizza and root beer floats (adult cousins in their 80’s) and they weren’t able to visit, I understand there needs to be rules, but really? The contract also said air conditioning and we had none for almost 2 days and smoke alarms sounded off for hours. When it was time for bed it was 80 degrees, no one slept. I think compensation would be nice. The location was great, nice beach & pool, staff very nice. It didn’t seem like a vacation. You anxiously wait and save for a nice place to stay and it needed lots of TLC. I would not stay with this group again.

Great condo, great hosts, great location. Biggest negative were the valet and other employees at the condo were not friendly or helpful during our stay. The condo was clean and as advertised. The hosts were great and checked to make sure everything was good for us when we arrived! We were very close to groceries and many restaurants.

Location was great, property clean and spacious, and having beach chairs and umbrellas was so helpful. Beds and pillows especially need an update. Lots of communication prior (although bullet points and more important information at the top would be better), and property manager was easily reachable. Would recommend—just bring a pillow.

Love it

The condo was very clean - my test is to wear white socks when I am away from home - at the end of my stay my socks were still clean!! Almost everything you have at home was provided, including beach towels and chairs, every type of kitchenware you could possibly require, and a nice balcony to relax on. Only issue is that you can get to the balcony only from the master bedroom - the door from the living room is permanently shut so if the person in the main room is sleeping, the other guests can’t have access. Host is very responsive , pool was great and the beach was beautiful. There are many restaurants in the area and activities to take part in. We went to the racetrack and to the theater in Ft Lauderdale for a reggae concert. I had a great time and would definitely return to this condo on future trips.

Fantastic place to stay

We enjoyed our stay here. A great location, especially if you have kids or are a pool/beach lover yourself. Pool right there on site which is a lovely environment and then just steps away from the beach with lovely sand waves and ocean breeze. It was perfect for my little guy so we could splash in the pool, play n the sand run in the waves but still take breaks for snacks and naps! If we ever return to Ft. Lauderdale , this location for a place to stay will be checked out

Great overall experience. Beach is on the other side of the pool. Boardwalk is a 5 min uber away. Would highly recommend and stay there again if we plan to be in the area. Amazing communication with the management team, I wish more VRBO's were like this.

We weren’t able to book the original condo. It was clean and had a lot of nice things that helped our family at the beach with young kids. The main guy was helpful anytime I messaged him about something. Only thing I would add would be the condo could use some updates as some parts of the condo appeared to be older. But overall a great stay and we loved Hollywood and access to the pool and beach.

We have stayed at the property but in a different condominium last year also. It is a great location close to many places to visit. The condominium is very well equipped and is very nice.

The air went out on our second night and it was not fixed prior to my check out and that made our last 2 nights slightly uncomfortable. The property manager sent someone but that person never showed. The tv in the master bedroom did not work and there were chips on the bedroom floor under the bed, but other than that I would recommend the property.

Nice condo, with a pool and easy access to the beach. Close to casinos, restaurants, and the Broadwalk. Great and easy rental process. The beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc that were good included with the rental were an excellent bonus. We would stay here again if we are in the Fort Lauderdale area again!!
