It was really great! We happened to go during peak cherry blossom/sakura season and the view of the blossoms and the river from the top floor is so beautiful. The location is just amazing. We really enjoyed walking along the river with the blossoms. I highly recommend this location if you are wanting to stay in a gorgeous traditional Japanese house, especially during cherry blossom season! The hosts were so great and met us when we arrived to show us around the place and also gave us some information of good spots to eat, drink and visit during our short stay.

the privacy could have been a little better. There is a slight gap where people could see in if they are on the second storey of the building behind as they can see over the garden fence and into the living/sleeping area on the first floor. This is such a minor detail and didn't effect our stay at all.
