Just as expected. Very nice stay, minus the weather we had

I put my friends up in this house which was walking distance to the house we had our wedding

Pros - good location, Easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock from house
Cons - mattresses were dirty and internet speeds are not sufficient

Perfect Home!
We had a great stay at this beautiful home. The house is perfect, and the location was great. Close to town and close to the ski resorts.

The group enjoyed ours staying there, though it was a rainy weekend. The cabin was nice and clean inside as well. We were a little nervous about the road, but it was okay since there was no snow. The two problems we had was the wifi, a bit unstable even after we reset it. Also, the room upstairs with a double bed was cold, and you could feel the wind blowing thru the window; we had to move on the second night.
Overall, everything is good, fast response, and good management.

The location of the home is ideal, and it’s just a short walk from the home to an amazing mountain view. Despite some hiccups with the wifi, the property manager went above and beyond to resolve our issues, and we were especially grateful knowing that our stay was during the holidays.

The cabin was beautiful inside and out but there was no trash bags and one bathroom did not have hand soap. Also the grill propane tank was stuck on close so we were not able to grill some burgers like planned. Other than these minor things we had a great stay! The customer service was great! We arrived about 6pm and had issues opening the door but the rental company answered and helped us immediately.

Perfect spot
The house was a great fit for what we needed. There were 12 adult guys and we each had our own bed. The house has internet as well as direct TV and is was close to all that we needed. The house could use some updating and maybe a little more detailed cleaning but for us it was a great fit for a short stay.

My two sons and four granddaughters celebrated Christmas in July. We were unable to get together for any holidays this past year so I planned a holiday for my sons, their 2 college students and two upcoming high school students.
We loved the layout and all the living spaces.
The 4 twin beds in the girls room need to be replaced with new mattresses as the ones there are worn out. New cooking pans also need to be replaced.
I would recommend this place for its beauty and location. Bring your own pots.

A Family Vacation
My two sons and four granddaughters celebrated Christmas in July. We were unable to get together for any holidays this past year so I planned a holiday for my sons, their 2 college students and two upcoming high school students.
We loved the layout and all the living spaces.

Convenient location between Boone and Blowing Rock. There is not a mountain view but with a dog and small children we were thankful for minimal stairs and the large yard to play in. Secluded down somewhat overgrown driveway so very private and quiet. Tastefully decorated. Only complaint with cleanliness was everything was pretty significantly dusty, blinds, fans, furniture, lamps etc.

Tons of room and beds for small children and bigger adults. Check-in and out was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we just went down the road for groceries. The refrigerator leaked some but nothing terrible. My only suggestion is if you plan on visiting, bring a flashlight. The fire pit is beautiful, but there are no lights out there to guide your steps and the path is rocky.

Beautiful & Comfortable
The house and surrounding area are beautiful! The yard was great for the kids to play and explore. We also took a scenic walk around the loop. Beds and sitting areas were comfortable. Kitchen was alright, but we did not do much cooking.
Overall the house was clean, however for a rental property I would encourage the owners to require a slightly more thorough cleaning. Specifically under the shelves in the kitchen, under the beds, etc. We had a baby with us who gets into everything...otherwise we never would have noticed.
We loved our time at Punky’s Place and would certainly consider staying here again!!

Punkeys Place.
We were disappointed that the screened porch was not heated as advertised. We had chosen this property with Covid in mind because that would hello us stay socially distanced. Without the heat, it was not warm enough to use. We also counted on the picnic table at the fire Pit, but it was not there.
Wet contacted the property manager, but he never called us back.

Great property for quiet, remote location.
The cabin was very nice and well kept. It was decorated nice, very comfortable and well furnished. There were a few small issues with cleanliness, but overall it was good. The sink in the downstairs secondary bathroom was blocked with hair and the master shower had a similar problem. Each light switch was labeled and that was very nice! Check in/out process was a breeze. The property was very private and quiet. There was rain and very heavy fog during our stay so it was difficult to traverse the mountain at night. Not a fault, just good to know if you have difficulty seeing.

Gorgeous cabin
We had a fabulous time staying at Punky’s Place in Boone, NC. Everything was great and the pictures were accurate of the cabin. The only 2 things I could comment on negatively was that the bathroom near the queen bedroom wasn’t cleaned throughly (we found a used washcloth left behind and the tub was dusty) and the tub was slow to drain which made it a slipping hazard when taking a bath. Other than that the stay was great!

It was a pleasant stay at the Cabin. I would recommend to get additional pool sticks for more players to be able to play more players at a time. I would also recommend to fix the sink and bathtub from the downstairs bathroom because it's clogged. Other than that everything was great and we had a wonderful time at the cabin. Thank you very much.

if the cabin would have been clean the rating may have been higher. the cabin was great. the house cleaning sucked. Once the cleaning guy showed up (Paul) he was outstanding asnd that was not his home to clean he just showed up.

Punky's place
We loved the house!! The bed was so comfortable and the heaters in the bathroom was amazing ❤️❤️. The staff I spoke with was friendly and helpful!! Loved the red, white and blue decor!! We was there for my daughter graduation and we made some great memories.
