Alex was a great host with a charming home in a convenient location to visit our daughter for her graduation from St Thomas. Short drive to the school, shopping and outdoor parks.

We enjoyed our stay! It had everything we needed for a long weekend, and would love to see all the plants in full bloom in the summer. Location was close to downtown, the airport and there are several good restaurants nearby.

This was a good and reasonable option for gathering our family from afar and staying near a son who lives in Minneapolis. The house offered everything we needed for a Thanksgiving stay.

Your home fit our needs, perfectly. The location was close to our family, restaurants and easy to get to. It was very roomy. Thank you for the use of your beautiful (both inside and out) home.

The cottage had everything we needed and it was central to everything we wanted to do in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The owner is a very nice guy who even offered to let us stay a little longer if we needed to. The landscaping was lovely and it was fun to watch the chickens, cat, squirrels, birds, and bunnies from the back room window in the mornings. My only cons were that the mattresses were not comfy (I realize everyone has different views on what makes a comfy bed) but the sheets and comforters were clean and felt nice. The other thing is the house is definitely showing its age and may eventually need a few cosmetic upgrades to really bring it all together. My family and I would definitely stay again if we ever make it back to Minneapolis.

Location was perfect for a 5 day visit with friends who lived walking distance from this “cottage”. Everything (plus) is available for your use. There are SO many supplies that things were a bit cluttered but manageable. We hosted a formal dinner and it was very comfortable.

Quaint but very much fit our needs. Could have used some additional supplies like paper towels in kitchen and bath soap but their absence did not detract from from overall experience.

I booked this for a family of 4, all adults. We used the attic king bed and the two main floor queen beds. Positives: This property was very clean and well maintained, inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Location makes access to everything in MSP area easy. It's just a few mins of freeway. Communication with the hosts was excellent. The caveats: The lighting in the pictures makes this place look bright. It's not. Most of the rooms are quite dark. We rented during summer. Even with central AC running, the attic bedroom gets warm, so the host provided a supplemental floor model HVAC unit which is great, except that it is right next to the bed (can't move since it vents out the window) and it is NOISY. If I didn't have top notch ear plugs we would have abandoned the attic and moved into the very dark basement which has a futon (not nearly as comfortable as a king bed!). Also, the attic bedroom has no bathroom up there. You have to go up/down a very steel staircase to go to the bathroom. Not fun. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and once the weather cooled and we didn't need the AC in the attic that space was better, but I probably wouldn't have rented had I known about there being no bathroom upstairs. My wife gave me a lot of grief due to this oversight.

Attractive property in a convenient location

The property was perfect for the 6 of us. We had 4 adults a 2 year old and 7 year old. Very comfortable and relaxing. Host was great and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!! And can’t forget about the chickens! Thanks for making our vacation fun!!

This is a peaceful place to get away, with great amenities. The hosts are very hospitable and the garden surrounding the house is beautiful. We loved the chickens too!

Very charming property with gardenlike yard. Alex is a great guy, very friendly and interesting. House has plenty of space and is in a great location, very central to tons of fun things (Mall of America, Minnesota Zoo, Downtown, sporting events etc). Would definitely stay again. My kids LOVED it, especially the chickens!

This home worked perfectly for our gathering of 4 longtime friends. We relaxed over breakfasts - and easily came & went throughout the Day & evening. Afternoon tea in the garden was sweet.

Three night stay with six people. Property is very well presented in listing. Our group consisted of two parents & four adult children. Only mom & dad slept together, yet easily enough sleeping areas (beds, futons, couch, etc) for everyone to have their own space. Off street parking available. Two detractions: Side/back door from of street parking awkward to use due to bushes partially blocking both gate & door to house. Black shower curtain leaves shower EXTREMELY dark without a light inside the curtain. (Tub-Shower had two curtains, one for keeping water inside, the exterior for aesthetic exterior purposes. However, both on same rings, so either both open or both closed, left shower interior very dark.) Our temporary solution was to use a twist tie to "pinch" exterior curtain towards center, allowing some light to penetrate at both ends. At one point, we emptied trash & couldn't find replacement trash bags. Contacted owner & new bags are delivered to door in less than thirty minutes. Overall, a great alternative to hotel especially to accommodate a group structure like ours.

It was just what we needed for a family reunion. The dining room table and spacious living room allowed us to invite cousins over for a meal and a visit. It’s a home away from home!

Second time staying here and we'll be back again!

Place was not clean, old spider hanging from vent, very dusty where TV is, furniture very worn, beds too soft - sunk to the middle of the bed. Pictures of VRBO did not represent what the place looks like.

We traveled from Chicago to Minneapolis all summer to watch our 4-year old granddaughter and at times, her 7=year old sister. This location was perfect -- lots of room, chickens in the backyard, easy access to our granddaughters' home, and the host, Alex, living next door. We found it to be the perfect long-term rental, the girls' got attached to it, as well, and our host was always very responsive. Would certainly recommend it to others looking for a great place to stay!

This is the second year we have had a family reunion at this home coming from VT MI FLA OHIO CA. Wonderful family home with terrific VRBO host.

Really enjoyed our stay. Easy property to get in and out of; accessible parking; plenty of dishes, utensils, cooking gear, condiments, etc.. Between the 3 levels, there was more room than we needed. Highly recommend.

Beds were good except for smallest bedroom. Lots of easy parking. Close to 35W. Clean. Comfy.

This is a lovely property on very nice grounds. The owner, Alex, is very hospitable and really let’s you feel at home. The location is quite convenient to both the airport and downtown. The house was much bigger than expected, and very comfortable to stay in. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

The property was everything it was advertized as and more. We had rented it for my family to gather as we attended my daughter's graduation from the UMN. We were able to reconnect in a very comfortable and surprising quiet home like atmosphere. Just what we were hoping for! Oh, and, the host is wonderful!
